I received a phone call late last week a day or two after sending an email after being part of the vaping experiment on the Equinox from June 24-July 2, which included getting cherry bombed by a guy vaping in the casino. Not sure I want a possible repeat on my July 30 Equinox sailing. I don’t know if I’ll keep my booking. As I explained to the woman who called, among many other things, at least on Royal, etc. I know what I’m getting before I step on a ship. No smoking/vaping was a very big Celebrity selling point for me, as I spend too much time in the casino. It was definitely a very distinguishing policy.

Hope you’re enjoying your cruise. Loved the ship! Which slot machines were the two you posted? The ones I played were bad, bad, bad. No luck whatsoever.

I am supposed to sail on the Equinox later this month but am reconsidering. I would imagine the whole vaping thing might be gaining traction.

I was on the Equinox last week and have posted several photos of the signs and shared my firsthand experience watching a guy blow a big cherry cloud my way as he sat at a table game. People seem to be casting doubt on actual signage and firsthand accounts. I witnessed numerous signs and a man vaping at a table game. I was at the video poker row nearby. As for the signs, I took them to mean vaping is allowed everywhere in the casino but maybe there is some distinction. We got off the ship on Sunday, July 2. These photos were taken shortly before 6 a.m. And there was no advance warning this would be rolled out. I was taken aback because one of the huge selling points for Celebrity has always been the clean air in the casino.

It is allowed, and I witnessed it while sitting at a video poker machine last week on the Equinox. A man was playing at one of the tables, turned around and released a big cloud of cherry-ish vapor. He wasn’t aiming for me. Guess he didn’t want to blow on other people at the table.

There were several standing signs in the casino and paper-looking cutouts on the tables at around 6 this morning. I took a spin through the casino while waiting for Cafe al Bacio to open.

For what it’s worth, virtually nobody was vaping in the casino. Also, I didn’t notice much smoking outside near the Sunset Bar (in the designated area). There were a few cigar smokers there on occasion. (They sell cigars at that bar.)

On the ship now and can confirm there is at least one sign in the casino that says smoking is not allowed/vaping is allowed. Best of luck and enjoy your trip!

Corroborating that the signage in the casino says vaping is allowed and smoking is not. On this sailing now. I saw a man vaping at one of the table games (and a big cloud as he turned away from the table). Not sure I noticed anyone else vaping. Spent hours in the casino.

At least you got an “offer”? 🤣 I haven’t seen anything since January. I expect someone will need to call for further explanation. 🙂 Hope your hold time isn’t terrible.

Do you have to do an Ultra cruise before you can get an Elite offer? I went on an Ultra cruise two years ago, I think, and haven’t gotten an Elite offer for many, many years. (Didn’t book that Elite cruise.) Thanks.

Hello. I see Amethyst level and up receive “free play,” and it’s a set amount OR a set percentage of “the previous sailing’s gaming activity” - whichever is higher. Does anyone know what BCC considers “gaming activity”? In the case of Amethyst, would that be 5 percent of the points earned on the previous sailing (which are displayed on the slot machine)? 5 percent of the coin-in? I asked once on the phone and they weren’t sure. Was told to check with a casino host onboard. Thanks.

Just completed back-to-back sailings on Independence of the Seas. Both Coco Cay days Freedom of the Seas was also there with us. Didn’t seem crowded at all. Plenty of chairs everywhere I went. Delightful experience.

I earned 25,000 points on my last cruise and lost big. No meaningful difference in the new offers that dropped today from previous ones. Disappointed loser. Ha. Not sure what matters.

Apologies for taking this thread a bit off track. Are the free offers being received via email? Mail? I have to call BCC to see if I have a complimentary sailing (and have not gotten an “offer code” since January). They look up last sailing and tell me I qualify for up to 8 nights in a veranda cabin. When I’ve asked how much it would be to upgrade from veranda to, for example, AQ it was $$$$$. Maybe the Move Up option would be less expensive? Thanks for any insight on any of this.

The cruise port in Road Town, Tortola, last month. No idea how the beaches were. Didn’t notice any issues on Virgin Gorda, where I spent the day.

Hope that works for you and your wife. I was able to maintain my Prime status, it appears. Not sure how long that lasts. I had sailed a few times with Royal in 2022. I find the point reset/status to be a little confusing. On Celebrity you can earn points through the end of the year, I believe, which is easier to keep up with for me.

Hi. I earned 2,000-plus points on my last sailing, which was a short one, and have only one offer on clubroyaleoffers.com. (It has an expiration date of April 5 but might still be good.) I used to have a dozen or so offers at any given time. Has anyone else experienced a drop in offers? I did book the free cruise, but I’ve done that before and still had offers on the website and also received mailers and emails. Thanks.
