  1. I thought the same as you originally and searched a little. I found a post from @Moondoggyas follows. I did put in my CC for shipboard and not shore side. quote: Moondogy Posted January 25 #6 A few things my search turned up, don't know if you found this on them. 2. Yes, you each have a user name and pw on website and it’s the same on the App sign in and OceanReady on the cruise personalizer. You can download the App anytime. You will have to accept the passage of contract and fill out the health questionnaire.
  3. I would just download it now as, you may have questions. Go through your travel checklist and fill out everything, including the CC you want to use if it’s not in there. Then you can buy the MedallionNet internet and request your time and DR in the DMW section. Yes, you can just use one smartphone if you want. You use the same username and pw as on the website. You can access both of your accounts from your phone. If you’re leaving home 3 weeks before your cruise, the the OM ocean medallion won’t reach you. It arrives about 14-10 days before departure. So, go ahead and order it on the App and click the box to pick up at the port. I prefer the App over the website version anyway. You should still go on the cruise personalizer after 75 days before departure and print your luggage tags and the travel summary.
  4. But this is about the Caribbean and that’s long…😂 Just kidding you!
  5. It would be helpful to know the cabin location, but the OP never replied. I can tell you we were forward Caribe deck balcony and no issues. I found the crew to be excellent and our crew was great this year we did 6 weeks on her before the dry dock. Some at GS were fairly new, as with most ships, they are still learning. So, you could check on some of the current roll calls and see how it is. I wouldn’t believe 1 person who complains and never comes back on the forum. JMo
  6. I found GS was very nice and tried to be helpful on the CB. However, there are a lot of new staff and they just do not have the knowledge. They sometimes will give answers that are incorrect. I don’t believe they are just telling you lies, it’s a lack of knowledge.
  7. You have inquiries…could you answer, please?
  8. It just went through dry dock Apr 7-25, 2022 in Portland.
  9. They were supposed to fix the toilet issues in dry dock. I smelled it everyday, walking to the mid elevators, midship caribe deck 10, others complained about the Aloha deck. I thought they fixed it and replaced the carpets? Really a shame it spoiled your special trip. Where were you located?
  10. No it hasn’t. You do need to checkin with a crew member at your station, they scan your medallion. Takes a minute.
  11. I should have accentuated the IF. But, hopefully NOT! 😬 That’s what we do, prepare! Take care and good luck.
  12. I think you’d be better off just trying a nonstop, if yours is cancelled tell them to get you on a United nonstop SFO LHR. France frequently has strikes, transportation, trains, etc. I’ve been caught up in those. Also, they’ve had many cancellations too. The airlines should already already have their reduced schedules for Aug and Sep. for LHR. Unless it’s crew shortage or weather. It’s a lot harder to fly domestic now than Internationally. Good luck to you!
  13. I just check my App on the day of embarkation or the inside of your door. Also, it’s usually on the TV screen when you walk in the room. We drop off our hand bags to the room, make a note of the muster location and grab lunch. Maybe someone on here had muster E on the Enchanted. If it’s really important, find a roll call now for the Enchanted, and ask.
  14. That will be easy since we can get the free tests easily. That also protects them and the insurance company, if you lie and end up getting sick. I would definitely make a screenshot of my negative results for proof. Cover yourself. Interesting…
  15. I thought the $60 test is a third party, like DocGo and other companies, not PCL. Anyway, they are doing thousands of tests on the ships and using staff to do those. At least the shorter b2b’s no longer need to be tested. The PVP insurance plan still covers covid even after Sep 30th. But of course you have to buy that. Not wanted to debate this…just another rant! Lol
  16. We’re happy! 1 a week is enough. 😜
  17. It does vary. Our next 28 night has 4. They can check their travel summary if they really want to know.
  18. Bottom line. They will save a bundle without having to test so many guests, put them up in hotels with comped meals and the staff it takes to continue these efforts. These July trial non-test cruises of HAL & P & O, are for 7 nights. Most likely some may be infected at the beginning and the end, but a lot will go home with it. They don’t care about it once you leave the ship. What about the crew? Will the quarantine area be mostly for them? What about the staff shortage, if the crew is ill? A lot to consider before jumping into the next phase. IMO, I think the next phase may be to drop testing for the short cruises up to 10 days and continue for a bit on the longer cruises, especially oceanic ones, where there are no hospitals in case of an emergency. 19. Hope your friends are doing well. Now that some of the sanitation measures are not being enforced, we have to deal with Norovirus again! Wash your hands people! Sanitize your hands people! Norovirus is a lot worse than any cold or flu that I ever had. I’ve seen some disgusting behavior at the buffet. Sorry, had to rant.
  20. It’s usually the 2nd formal night. You can see how many formal nights are on your cruise by checking your travel summary on the website.
  21. What about a hotel close to terminal 3 for a really close walk? That is not real expensive? Any suggestions? TIA
