  1. If you booked it online with Princess, you would call in and tell them to mark it No upgrade. If you booked with a TA or CVP call them to mark it. But, recheck it periodically, as mentioned, they sometimes UG it anyway.
  2. Thank you for the pictures. They didn’t provide any cabins numbers? I like the cabana room that has an enclosed balcony, looking out to sea with lounger and fool stool. Pictures 2-3-4 of the actual balcony. The others look like a mass cabana deck. How is that relaxing? Would be great if you had a large group traveling together.
  3. If you’re a stockholder, here’s your chance to do a proxy vote to voice your opinion on who’s running the company, by voting. Watch for your email proxy vote. Mine looks like this:
  4. Here’s a link from Princess website to explain. Move down to Aloha Spirit. https://www.princess.com/en-us/cruise-destinations/hawaii-cruises
  5. They are the best. They make the cruise to Hawaii very enjoyable. Your roll call will probably know the ambassadors before the cruise, they sometimes post themselves to let you know on the roll call. The last cruise, they posted about a month before, introducing themselves. They teach hula, ukulele lessons, have Hawaiian crafts lessons, and history/cultural sessions about the Islands and on and on. We’ve been on 5 cruises that included the Hawaiian Islands and Princess does it very well. There’s nothing for you to do. Just enjoy. Welcome to Princess and CC. Look through the forums for detailed information, that may help with other questions. Here’s one: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/37-hawaii/
  6. Yes, I’m surprised too. They are all checking out the ship, I guess. 🥴
  7. Agree, and I look at ours before leaving the hotel. Not much I can do, but I’d be prepared anyway. 🥴
  8. That is probably one of the reasons they do a free UG. If they need that type of room for various reasons. But, like a lot of us, we pick our cabin for a lot if different reasons and don’t want a so-called UG. Did you get your cabin back?
  9. We always have our TA mark no UG, also. But, happened to us on TWO of our b2b’s. Different cabins. I watch those cabin numbers and call my TA. Luckily, I caught it. If they do it on sailing day, then GS is the only hope. I hope they enjoy their cabin. I don’t like that deck out front of the cabana either. Weird design IMO.
  10. We always get to the port early and get on earlier than they list. But, I don’t know how strict SYD is with boarding. Someone that’s boarded SYD should answer. Also, when the rooms are ready. Usually from 1-130pm. We drop off our carryon bags to the cabin snd go do lunch. There’s also an Australia/New Zealand Forum, you May ask those questions. Here’s a link. https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/564-australia-new-zealand-cruisers/
  11. Are you boarding in SYD? Those who have boarded recently in SYD may chime in. I haven’t boarded there recently. As far as a boarding window, it is supposed to show up in the new App about 11 days before sailing. Like this one below:
  12. Someone mentioned this earlier today in a thread. Thanks for posting this for us to see. How far out is this trip you posted above?
  13. Yep….like airlines and hotel rooms. Seems like a cheap tactic to me.
  14. We’ve gotten deferrals several times. Depends on your State and County rules. Good luck!
  15. Call the dine line from your cabin to book.
  16. Lol 😂. My wine time is 3pm and the UBD is so much food, need time to digest and more wine! 🍷 We love to get to the early show also. You could do the dinner later too. Just love the background during the dinner and a beautiful sail away.
  17. Have you tried the UBD? (ultimate balcony dinner) Price $110 plus gratuity. Total per cabin. It is a real treat. We book it on a port stop around 5-530pm. Close to sail away, for the backdrop.
  18. Yep. I might have to take a pause also. 😳
  19. Agree. I thought you might be on to something. But, with all our medallion cruises since 2018….we would not be NEW CRUISERS now. Just such a flawed App. Not much testing done, again.
  20. The exclamation is probably due to not putting in shoreside CC. This is not a necessity. 7 out of 8. If you ordered your Medallion and did everything else you have completed the checkin. You’ll see green checks. Medallion ordered to be shipped: Green lane. Medallion ordered to pickup at port: Blue lane.
  21. Adding the CC will get you check in ready or ready to sail. It won’t put you in the green lane. You are still in the blue lane, because you are pick up at port.
  22. Update: In order to get the DMW back into the New App on the above update: I completed the checkin items again. Went to website, cruise personalizer, log in website version of the App OceanReady profile. Clicked on DMW, selected the same dining plan, selected the same SD that I had. It then showed on the DMW website version and now is reflected in the New App. Unreal, just unreal.
  23. Another Update IOS….was Yesterday 1.1.1….but my bookings just changed overnight. Check your cruises….especially if you have b2b’s. Split our b2b’s, instead of combining them as one cruise on the App. Had to accept passage contract again. Had to complete the checklist again for 2nd b2b, order Medallion again (even though you will use the same one from 1st cruise). Deleted dining reservations and SD reservations (paid already). Still did not correct Loyalty status. What a PITA.
