  1. Thanks for some good input. I will skip suggesting a whale watching excursion to our group, but found a kayaking excursion to suggestion with enough time to explore around town. I will also suggest the waterfalls too, it will just be three days of exploring waterfalls.
  2. I just booked our excursion this week for the stop in Isafjordur. We are doing the Dynjandi falls through Arctic Shorex. They have a few different options. There really aren't many activities to choose from.
  3. We were supposed to sail Celebrity Apex in June of 2020, and really disappointed we didn't get that opportunity. Prima is booked for this year, but will try to do an Edge class ship next one. I'm not sure why all ships don't offer an all inclusive option like Celebrity.
  4. I wonder how quickly this will be installed. I wasn't planning on purchasing any package for the Prima Iceland/norway sailing this summer. This is a long overdue improvement.
  5. I did filter this with an afternoon setting. Your says 7 hours without the blue lagoon. May be a good place to start. This is who we booked through. https://www.viator.com/tours/Reykjavik/Golden-Circle-Classic-Day-Trip-from-Reykjavik/d905-2970AH12
  6. What types of activities are there for Akureyri besides the Goðafoss waterfalls? We have the golden circle booked for Reykjavik and Dynjandi booked for Isafjordur. Is it possible to do kayaking? Is a whale watching tour worthwhile?
  7. the tour we booked says it’s 11 hours. That includes a two hour stop at the blue lagoon. Ours leaves on a Thursday as well in August. Maybe rent a car??
  8. We are doing two days before our August cruise and booked a Golden Circle excursion with the blue lagoon. The price was great and checks off all the boxes.
  9. Some got their reservations earlier than I would expect.. We have our August cruise from Philly to Reykjavik and then leaving from Southampton to Philly. I'm curious what we will get for flights.
  10. Thank you for the review. I am hoping you may have gotten an off day for Onda. The restaurant looks beautiful, but the review is consistent with La Cucina food on the other ships. Did you have a hot tub on your balcony? I just remember seeing them on the renderings, but haven't seen a review of them at all. 231days until my Prima sailing!
  11. It's a must on every sailing. Grab a book, relax, have small conversation, rest my bones..... nothing like coming back from an excursion and hitting up the thermal spa before the evening begins. Im not much of a fan of the sun, and this gives that peace and quiet when you don't feel like being around crowds.
  12. Thank you for letting us tag along with you. Your photos have me planning our 2025 cruise now to Africa.
  13. This looks easier to get to from the city than the sky lagoon. I am thinking about the golden circle one day and then either the sky lagoon or the blue lagoon the day of our cruise. Any preference?
  14. Booked on the Prima for next August and never once had hesitation. The photos look stunning! I will be spending most of my time in the thermal spa.
  15. Thank you for those suggestions! We arrive two days before our cruise begins and definitely see more activities that I want to do than I have time for. Also having a tough decision deciding between the sky lagoon or the blue lagoon.
  16. We are booked at Hotel Borg for the two nights before our cruise next August. Reviews seem to be consistently good, appears to be in a great location, and is affordable for what you get.
  17. My partner and I, along with some friends did Alaska in 2019 on NCL and didn't have any issues. We did the friends of Dorothy meet up the first night and spoke throughout the cruise and stay connected through Facebook. Our group of friends has a cruise booked for Iceland on NCL next summer. We did have the Celebrity pride sailing booked for 2020 on the Apex. I was really bummed that one ended up getting canceled because of the pandemic.
  18. definitely a bucket list destination, but I like the kitty cat photo! 😺
  19. Love your review and seems like you had a great vacation and enjoyed the ship. I am actually looking forward to the price is right more than the donna summer show.
  20. That's what I've been debating. it's such a beautiful looking port, but Troll road is a desire I have too. It's going to come down to which one is more of a priority probably.
  21. Lovely review! Best part - the jets for the thermal spa are on back order. lol. I was seriously disappointed when I read about the lack of jets in the pools. 269 more days unit I sail.
  22. Rather disappointed with this.I will keep a lookout to see how Celebrity cruises fare and check back with NCL.
  23. I would love to do Iceland by land, however; Iceland and Norway are on our list, so a cruise was most convenient. We are booked on Norwegian Prima next year for an 10 day cruise starting in Reykjavik (with two days prior to start of cruise), two stops in Iceland, 3 in Norway, Amsterdam, Brussels, and ending in Southhampton. We will probably add two days on at the end in London. We have too many destinations we want to see, so cruising is usually our go to.
