  1. It’s $19.99 per person. There will be spots available to book before hand but they also hold back spots for those that book on the ship.
  2. The mass market cruise lines are in survival mode right now. If what they are offering is no longer good enough for you, by all means find something that is. It’s your money. The customers that fill in your spot won’t know or care about the changes that were made by the lines.
  3. I usually wear jeans or slacks to the MDR but I pay no attention or care to what other people wear.
  4. The Cartels are not targeting tourists. There has been gang violence between gangs which have killed tourists but not gangs purposely attacking tourists.
  5. Also, as long as they don’t hit traffic, Orlando to Port Canaveral is about 45 minutes. They would need to hit heavy traffic for it to be an hour and a half.
  6. Why would you not want to come in a day before the cruise? Any delays the day off and they potentially miss the cruise. The recommendation by members on here would to always arrive the day before.
  7. For a cruise and resort towns, yes it is safe.
  8. Yes they are. And they use dynamic pricing so it’s different from ship to ship and date to date. If the package is below $72 per day, you are looking at a 6 drinks a day average to breakeven. Still worth it to me but it feels like a gut punch when the total comes up in the cart.
  9. That last line is weird. If they have terms and conditions that they send out, it is an official policy.
  10. You can’t. Probably not the best use of the voucher. Your original question said FAS and that you can use 1 credit on.
  11. 4 items per a credit. You can use one credit and split the 4 items between people and save the other credit for another day/restaurant.
  12. $350? Is that including other excursions with it? At full price I think a one time slide is $12.99.
  13. There were cash games for poker? I wish I knew. I was enrolled in one of the tournaments but backed out. I played and won one of the tourneys on the Liberty but that was $100 plus $50 for double chips with 1 table and top two pays out. This time it was $200 plus $100 for double with 2 tables and still only top two pays out. Didn’t feel comfortable with double the buy in for half the odds. Would have jumped on a cash game though.
  14. This menu from 2019 shows they served Lamb Top Sirloin. What does the menu say now? https://cdn1.sixthman.net/files/norwegian/pearl/menu-churrascaria.pdf
  15. Chop is just a style of cut. Different muscles can be cut into chop including sirloin. You would need to know what muscle they were serving before to determine if it’s better or worse.
  16. I read the initial report that it was a massive wave that came over the top. That didn't make sense because that would be a huge wave. Someone on here that is on the ship said it was because of the raft in the water but it was empty.
  17. There are other reports of this cruise being a mess which is disappointing because I think the Getaway is a great ship. Entertainment was missing(maybe Covid related). GSC was also missed which is not surprising. As for the amount of passengers, this time of year is the busiest time for all the lines so the ships are going to be full. I was on the Oasis OTS and there were over 6500 passengers with 5600 being the double occupancy capacity. Lines at the buffet and El Loco were crazy to the point that we skipped going on most days. Dinner in the MDR was around 2 hours every night. And if you didn't have a reservation for a show(well other than Cats), you were going to have to line up early or you were turned away. I still had a great time.
  18. I don't get it either. I mainly look at this and the RCI board because those are the two lines I current sail on. I may look at Carnival and MSC to see what the temperature is because I may cruise them. I have sailed Disney but don't think they are worth it so I don't even look at their board. I don't go to the Disney board and post that they are crazy expensive and not worth the price just to make their board angry. I also don't go on any other boards that I am not considering because its not worth my time to. You then get called a cheerleader for defending a line against someone purposely here to cause negativity on the board.
  19. If you were to pay the full price of the package and only drink 3 you wouldn’t get to request a refund on the drinks that you missed so why would you be able to request a refund on the gratuties?
  20. For free? Why not give it a try if you like escape rooms. It was $20 a person on my Oasis cruise. My family loves escape rooms but at $120 we felt there was enough to do on the ship to skip it.
  21. Thanks. I think it’s pretty much all states now. Not sure about Alabama and Maryland though.
  22. NY also charges sales tax for purchases while in their waters. Royal just eats those charges while NCL and Carnival do not.
  23. I wouldn't say never again. Some cruises are priced high. Others are were I expect. I have a price point I am willing to spend on a cruise for my family of 4. If I can find a cruise in the price on a ship that I like, I book it. If not, I will do a land based vacation that falls in my range. I am not loyal to a certain line. I am looking for the best deal.
  24. You're welcome. My wife's drink of choice this last cruise was expresso martinis and they were $14. We did many different drinks and they all fell within the package. The only items that may go over will be wines if you don't like the selection that is in the package. Honestly, we ordered a $15 wine a couple of times and they never brought a slip to sign so I don't even know if he charged us for the extra $1 plus tip. Oh, also the drink package does not work at Starbucks branded locations if you have one on your ship. The Cafe Promenade serves Starbucks coffee but is included.
  25. Those cocktails will usually be $14. The middle size latte is is $4.50 and the double expresso will probably be about the same.
