  1. Miami called wedding parties, Diamond/platinum then Suite guests last week. Then went on to the zones.
  2. Guests must deposit cash (USD currency only) or Traveler's Checks (USD currency only) at Guest Services on the first day of the cruise. The following minimum cash deposits are recommended: 2 - 4 day cruise: $100 USD per person 5 - 8 day cruise: $200 USD per person 9 days or longer: $350 USD per person Guests may add additional cash to their account by visiting the Guest Services desk on board. Amount depends on length of cruise.
  3. Once on the Splendor. Made friends with one of the casino bartenders and at the end of the cruise got a bounce back offer. Booked before we got off for 6 weeks later on the Splendor again and told him. We messaged him when boarding and he said come to the casino bar where he had our drinks waiting even though it wasn't open yet. LOL
  4. You can grab water at any bar but only one at a time. Some servers will serve you an alcoholic drink and a water at the same time. Others will tell you to wait 5 mins so just keep that in mind.
  5. Oh I know! The wife gets very upset. LOL On this specific cruise they just seemed to run out of more than usual.
  6. That's why I said take it for what it's worth. We got off the Spirit Saturday (right before this announcement) and they were out of mint, lime and some hard stuff on the first day (waiting to get resupplied). Last day they were out of a bunch of stuff again (Tito's vodka, sparkling Moscato, etc). The people we talked to said they were having a hard time getting enough through vendors.
  7. As of now you still get your preferred drink in your room.
  8. Take it for what it's worth but according to a couple bartenders I talked to last week it's supply issues.
  9. I will, thanks. Have to make it an Elite cruise to get those 2 bottles delivered to my room.
  10. And that's all fine. Please feel free to carry on with your "serious" Maine ocean water is warming and the impact on lobster discussion. If either of you ever come to Maine I'd be happy to take you to a Maine beach. Lobster on me after.
  11. I know, it was a tough one to understand. Not very funny when someone has to explain it. Hopefully the person I quoted ( @cruisingguy007) understood it to be a joke.
  12. You obviously missed the laughing smiley face at the end of my post.
  13. You obviously haven't been to a Maine beach! I give you 10 mins tops before you go numb from the cold. 🤣
  14. They would lose out if they cut back on free rooms. Real gamblers aren't going to pay for a cruise just to gamble on a Carnival ship. They'll take their money where it's wanted.
  15. If you spend enough the casino will comp you those specialty dining places. 😁
  16. Maybe you're not spending enough on room service.
  17. You should cancel the 2nd leg and take that 5K into the casino with you on the first leg! 😁
  18. I said that more towards if I was a new cruiser and asked if I could do this or that and I got differing answers from somebody with 50 cruises vs someone with 1 or 2. I'd lean towards what the person with 50 said. I understand where @jimbo5544 is coming from though. There's a few here that should just start booking the old folks cruises and be happy. New cruisers can definitely give new perspectives. Looking back at all our cruises we have changed the way we do things on cruises (more of an age thing....lol). 1st cruise was years back on the Sensation. Lido pool all day drinking and enjoying all the activities. Had an absolute blast. Didn't have a clue about different sizes or classes of Carnival ships back then. As we have aged (and kids got old enough) we started looking at ships with adult only aft pools to get away from the chaos of the lido some.
  19. I've seen maybe 8-10 in line but I don't really consider that a "long" line like people are talking about.
  20. Way to go BlerkOne. Now they will just say that's another cut back trying to save money by not using sugar. Correct me if I'm wrong, but hasn't the 1 rotating dessert been that way for quite some time now?
  21. What time you go can change everything. 8 a.m. and I've never seen much of a line at the omelet station or buffet. 9 - 10 a.m. it gets crazy. Pizza always crazy after any of the late shows get out and when the night club closes. Perhaps a show had just gotten out on the MG? Never saw a line at Mongolian Wok, ever. Guys burgers is another story.
  22. Since you didn't put a time for two of them I'd say you were dreaming..........and 12:30 a.m. is not the busy time for pizza.
