I just got off Navigator and have two more booked so I'm obviously a fan of Nav. Im a Californian so the up side is no flight for me. However, if I had to fly in and all other things were equal I'd take Allure. It's a bigger ship with more dining options and more to do. I'm booked on the same itinerary as you listed for Allure except I'll be going on Harmony in Dec after they make their switch. Also, if you are booking a suite and not a regular cabin the difference will be even more pronounced. The one down side to Galveston is the it is a bit of a pain in the butt to get from Houston to Galveston compared to LAX to San Pedro. However it's not terrible.

We have done Wonderland once when we were on Odyssey. We were nervous going in because we are not really adventurous eaters and the descriptions let us a little scared. We told the waiter that and told him to select for us and we left very satisfied. It is an experience. I'd probably not do it as a stand alone but if I had the UDP I'd do it again. Probably not more than once on cruise but I'd do it at least one more time.

I didn't go in but I think they were. Lots of people were using them. The odd thing was on the waterslides, the one where you ride down on a carpet was heated but the one where you are in a tube was not

We have a Cabana at Columbus Cove but are in a suite. Is there a big difference in the food between Columbus Cove and Barefoot beach?

Following... We just got off Navigator Feb 3 after the same itinerary. The ship is in good shape and the staff are great!

I would think the suite lounge would potentially be less noisy early in the morning and later in the evening.

I'm not doing laundry while I'm on vacation. We send out underwear, undershirts and socks in the boil and fry bag on day 4 or 5. Sometimes on day 1 I'll send collared shirts and a suit for pressing depending on how they come out of the suitcase. I hate looking like a homeless guy on formal night.

Of the big girls Odyssey and Ovation are the only ones so far but we have Oasis the beginning of next Month and then Harmony one at the end of the year.

I'm looking forward to following along. We're booked on Harmony for Dec this year and it will our first cruise on her.

LOL, its a long drive. Offer him a free cruise and see if that helps.

I just picked up a 2 Br GS Navigator for 1300 pp all taxes and fees in. 🙂 You are right, there are deals to be had if you are flexible about the ship and date. Premium times and premium ships will always have a premium price.

That sounds like a problem with your app. I'd delete the app, turn your phone on and off and download the app again. Something is wrong. I've got cruise up to 658 days away listed in mine that I can look at.

I'm surprised you received your answer for a Royal up so far out. Congratulations! What kind of bid did you put in and what category were you moving up from? Definitely cash in the Key if you have a suite. Also possibly the coffee card as well. You can get Lattes and Cappuccino's in the suite lounge all day long. Everything that George lists below is a good summary of the benefits.
