  1. Well I guess me and the 200 points that I just won will sit over here in the corner alone today. 😂
  2. Won 1000 points in the scratch off game! I've never won that much on the scratch off. Today must be my lucky day! 🙂
  3. They didn't renew past 2024, but they never specified what date it would end. At the time of the announcement, Carnival hadn't released the 2024-2025 schedule yet. Now they're slowly releasing the schedule for a few ships at a time, so it's not that they extended the lease, it's that the rest of the 2024 schedule wasn't ready yet.
  4. These all sound great! I just wish the Center Stage area had a better seating layout. It's hard to get good seats. But I'm looking forward to these shows. Excited to see some new stuff.
  5. Yes, you can. It doesn't matter if you booked before you owned the shares. As long as the cruise sails by July 31, 2023 you can apply for credit, per the shareholder benefit PDF: https://www.carnivalcorp.com/static-files/50351a91-4dc0-4f6b-bfec-684647e6129f
  6. I used magnetic hooks on the walls on my last Horizon cruise.
  7. We did that the first time we were in Aruba. It was fun.
  8. If you ever go back to Bonaire you have to try booking with them again. It really was a fantastic experience.
  9. We did the ABCs on the Horizon a few months ago. I enjoyed the ship. No real complaints other than the fact that it was noticeably hot in some areas. These were our excursions: Aruba - Aruba Bob snorkeling (great company, very patient instructor, snorkeling was okay) Bonaire - Woodwind Bonaire snorkeling (the crew and the whole experience were amazing. Would absolutely do it again) Curacao - free walking tour
  10. I had a similar offer and decided to pass. I have an extended aft balcony on the Mardi Gras and they offered me an ocean suite. The room size didn't look *that* much bigger, but the balcony was way smaller than the one I already have. Plus it was over $600 to upgrade, so I decided it wasn't worth it for me. I'm glad your offer was right for you though.
  11. That sounds like a great itinerary. If I had the availability I would book it myself.
  12. This is a fun question. Based on the places I've visited so far, mine would be to the ABC islands and Grand Turk. I'll throw in Half Moon Cay too, even though I haven't been there (yet). I love a good beach day. It would be on an Excel class ship so I can enjoy all the new food and drink options and ideally it would depart from Savannah since that's only a 4 hour drive for me. But if we're going to limit it to departure ports that actually exist, then it would leave from Charleston. And it would be at least a 10 day cruise. Totally unfeasible, but it's fun to dream. 🙂
  13. I actually got 1000 points in the scratch off today! The most I've ever gotten before was 200 points, and that's extremely rare. I usually get jack squat. 😆 The wheel spin has been much more friendly for me.
  14. That's a good question. I've only had it at the steakhouse. Other bars that make martinis could probably make it too, as long as they have the watermelon syrup. The pomtini is also delicious. I had one on the last day of my last cruise and wish I had discovered it sooner.
  15. That's one of the great things about having Cheers. You can try pretty much anything without worrying about paying for something you might not like. If you don't like it, just ask for something else, no problem!
  16. I just got an email that it's coming back on October 1.
  17. Watermelon martini. Actually my real favorite is a special concoction from Jennifer on the Mardi Gras when she was at the Alchemy bar, but the watermelon martini is my favorite regular offering.
  18. Glad to hear Quest is back! Also good to heard that there are some other late night options besides pizza. I still wish they would keep the deli open later, though.
  19. I had a hump balcony on the Mardi Gras and loved it. The balcony was HUGE. No cons, IMO. I'll have an aft extended balcony on my next cruise. From looking at YouTube videos, you can see that there's a small area at the front of the balcony where people can look down on you, but most of the balcony is covered. People can only see you if you're standing at the railing. But of course, there's nothing like the aft view.
  20. I submitted mine on July 5 and got approval this morning. This was my first time submitting. I requested credit for 2 cruises - December 2022 booked under the Free Cheers RU1 rate and May 2023 booked under the 50% off sale for Carnival's 50th birthday. Both were approved.
  21. As the other poster said, you have to wait until you're onboard to apply them as OBC, but you can use them to prepurchase items from the website for your sailing (e.g., Cheers, internet, etc.).
  22. Cool, I was in 9475. 🙂 Hope you enjoy the room!
  23. I was in one of these rooms a few months ago. There was definitely some noise sometimes, but not often enough to make me reconsider staying there again. I heard chairs scraping overhead at least twice, but it didn't wake me up every night. I remember hearing splashing from the pool one afternoon when I was on the balcony. The shade and privacy of deck 9 was great, although it was still hot and sunny some mornings. All in all, I would stay on deck 9 again. If you're very sensitive to noise you may want to reconsider, but it didn't really bother me or my husband.
  24. On our very first cruise, our luggage was delivered to the wrong room. We only found out because my relatives that we were traveling with saw it in the wrong place. Ever since then, my husband insists on carrying on all our luggage. We've also seen reports of lost luggage on almost every cruise we've been on, so we prefer to keep ours with us.
