  1. They just took Cheers off my booking. It was there earlier this morning but it's gone now. I imagine that refunds and discount codes should be coming soon.
  2. I saw John Heald respond to someone today that the discount will be 10%. Remember you can use AARP gift cards to pay even less.
  3. I bought 2 of those packages (one for me and one for my husband since I wasn't sure if one package would cover us both) and I ended up getting $100 OBC. I thought that was pretty nice of them since they could've just refunded the money and left it at that. I did take advantage of the Cheers glitch, even though I expect it to be cancelled. But on the off chance that it doesn't, great! You never really know if they're going to honor a glitch or not, so IMO it doesn't hurt to try.
  4. Cookie is going to Mardi Gras. I think it'll be Kyndall Fire. She hasn't announced her next ship assignment yet, and she's also from Texas so I'm sure it would be special for her to be on Jubilee.
  5. Same here! Port Canaveral is my favorite homeport. I'm looking forward to having a Celebrity ship there.
  6. Thank you so much for the insight! I'm glad I asked because normally I would just book rideshare when I'm ready to leave, but I know not all cities are awake and alive that early in the morning. Sounds like that will be the case with Vancouver. So I'll definitely ask the hotel to arrange a cab. Thank you all for the responses!
  7. Hi everyone. Next summer we’re taking an Alaska cruise that ends in Vancouver, and we plan to stay there for 2 days before taking the Amtrak train to Seattle. I have the Auberge Hotel booked. We’re taking the morning train, which means we need to arrive at the Vancouver station around 5:30am, according to the Amtrak website. I’m trying to figure out the most reliable way to get to the station at that time. Does anyone know if Uber/Lyft drivers are typically available that early in the morning? Or would you recommend a taxi or public transit (if it even runs that early)? I just don’t want to be stuck trying to find a way to the station if there are no drivers available. This will be on a weekday, if that matters. Thanks!
  8. My husband and I are taking an Alaska cruise from Anchorage to Vancouver next June. The plan is to stay in Vancouver for 2 days and Seattle for 1 day after the cruise. We’re taking the morning Amtrak train from Vancouver to Seattle, which means we should arrive in Seattle around 11:00am. We would need to store our bags somewhere prior to checking in at the hotel. We want to visit Pike Place Market and the Space Needle, plus some exploring and walking along the waterfront. And we would need to haul our luggage to the airport the next morning for our flight back home. I’m not sure what is a good location for us to stay in or how we should get to the airport. I know the Embassy Suites is right next to the Amtrak station, but I’m thinking we should pick a hotel that’s closer to the things we want to visit. I see a lot of posts asking about pre-cruise hotels, but our cruise ends in Vancouver so we don’t need to be near the port. Also, what’s the best way to get to SeaTac the next morning? Uber/Lyft? Or would the light rail be easier, even with all our luggage? I’ve been trying to research and figure it all out but my head is swimming with information. I’m also trying to plan for Vancouver, which is adding to my stress (I’ll likely be making a separate post about Vancouver hotels later lol). I’d appreciate any guidance to help me sort things out.
  9. I was in an equivalent room on Mardi Gras (15499). There's nothing in that section, at least nothing that you can see. There's no noise from that area at all. As far as the pool and chairs above, I personally never heard any chairs scraping, but I did hear water splashing from the pool. It didn't bother me or my husband, but if you're very sensitive to noise, you should take that into consideration.
  10. Vista is my favorite ship and I hate hearing about how run-down she looks now. I haven't been on her since 2017, but I have 3 upcoming cruises booked from Port Canaveral - 1 before the dry dock and 2 after. I hope she gets a lot of much-needed love during the dry dock.
  11. I had FTTF in December 2022 and my check in was 14 days prior to embarkation. I actually have never heard of FTTF being able to check in 16 days prior. My luggage tags also didn't say Priority but they did have the FTTF logo, and my boarding zone just said "FTTF." I can't speak about luggage since we carry on, but we did have priority boarding with FTTF. Based on my experience, it sounds like what you're seeing is how it's supposed to be.
  12. I was in an aft Excel suite on deck 15 a few weeks ago. Noise was never a problem. I could hear Bolt every now and then, but it was just a low, soft "zoom" sound. It took me a while to even realize what it was and it didn't disturb us at all. I did hear chairs scraping once or twice in the afternoon. Never heard them in the morning like some people will warn you about, and like I said, it was only once or twice. We spent a LOT of time on the balcony, so if there were any big noise problems, we would've heard them. I would definitely book deck 15 again.
  13. I'm in GA too, and I strongly prefer to drive instead of fly, so my preference is for Vista just based on driving distance. Port Canaveral always gets my vote over Miami. Aside from that, they are very similar. Horizon has more Havana cabins and Bonsai Teppanyaki. Otherwise, the layout is the pretty much same.
  14. IME, they don't open the soda but you can only get 1 at a time. I would sometimes grab one for my husband to keep in our fridge for later.
  15. Can't wait to see the new menus. Really glad to hear that bitter n blanc will still be there. I'm excited to see some changes, even though I've already chosen all of my specialty dining nights based on the old MDR menus lol.
