I just got off the Celebration yesterday and bought the chat for me and my husband. Half the time our messages never came through. Other times they were delayed when they actually did come through. It's bad enough that we have to pay to chat with people staying in the same cabin. It's worse that it doesn't even work correctly.

I made that mistake my first time at Chibang. It was horrible. Zero flavor. I really enjoy Chibang for lunch, but not so much for dinner. The first time I had Mexican and it was blah. The second time I had Chinese and it was okay, but light years away from Jiji. I can't ever see myself eating dinner there more than once per cruise (if at all), so I don't care about them charging for it.

I didn't like it the first time I tried it. It was basically a cup of melted chocolate sauce with a crust on top. No cake to be found anywhere. Then I read that you could request it well-done, so I asked for that on my next cruise and it was WAY better. Then I tried the Bitter n' Blanc and forgot all about the Chocolate Melting Cake. I wish they had that on the menu every night.

I have one moment that sticks out. On the Vista in 2017, my husband and I were walking around the ship one morning. My husband sees this random good-looking guy walking around the track and he jokingly calls out to him, "Hey you! Come over here and take a picture with my wife!" I know it sounds weird for him to just call out to some random guy, but my husband is very outgoing and makes friends with everybody, so it's natural for him lol. Anyway, the guy stops and laughs, and agrees to take a pic with me. We thank him and he goes on about his way. Fast forward to the last day of the cruise. We were doing the Behind the Fun tour. They took us to the bridge and while my husband and I were looking out of the windows, the guide told us that the captain was here for us to take pictures with him. I turned around and there was the guy that I had taken a picture with a few days earlier. We had no idea that this "random" guy was actually the captain. So I got 3 pictures with captain during that cruise. Two from the Behind the Fun tour, and one because we both thought he was just some handsome dude who was nice enough to take a picture with a stranger. 😂 We saw him again later on that day and we thanked him again for the first picture and apologized for not knowing he was the captain. He thought the whole thing was funny.

It was subtle. I also do not like rose flavored things, so I was hesitant to get it but decided to try it anyway. I was pleasantly surprised.

Sadly, the ones I had at Cafe Beignet (which I heard was even better than Cafe du Monde) were not great. That was my first time having beignets. My second time was on the Mardi Gras and they were quite good. I may have just gotten a bad batch at Cafe Beignet, but it was not a good first impression. But I'll get them from Emeril's again lol.

I almost got it, but then I saw they had one with the Celebration on it. So I got that one so I can have a Celebration towel delivered to my Celebration stateroom. And also because it was ten bucks. 🙂

I cancelled an excursion 3 days ago that I had originally purchased with a gift card. The cancellation email didn't come until a few hours later, and about an hour after that I received an email with an e-gift card in the amount of my refund.

They must have changed it since December because when I was on Mardi Gras, the sign definitely said suites.

Been to Nachi Cocom twice and loved it. Very relaxing, never crowded, attentive service. Haven't been to Paradise Beach so I can't compare, but I'm happy with Nachi Cocom.

He said he thinks it was brisket, but he could be remembering wrong. And he said they didn't actually grill, but they used skillets.

My husband has done it. I can ask him about it if there's anything particular you want to know.

Spike Davis is my favorite. I'll always make it a point to see his shows if I'm on a sailing with him.

I'm surprising my husband with an Excel Aft Suite on the Celebration next year for our anniversary. Luckily my husband knows NOTHING about our vacations. I just tell when when to be ready and what to pack. He doesn't remember anything I tell him anyway. I don't think he even realizes that we're sailing during our anniversary lol. I'm not going to say anything, but if he asks I'll just tell him we're in our regular balcony. I'm going to record his reaction when we open the door to our cabin. A few cruises ago, I started a "tradition" of filming as we walk into our cabin for the first time, in preparation of recording him when we enter our suite. That way he won't get suspicious when I pull out the phone and start recording. Anyway, it's going to be a great surprise for your husband. You're going to have a fantastic cruise!

Well I thought I had commented on this thread but I guess not. Anyway, I've been here since the start. My hungry hippo self is loving all the food and drink p0rn. 🤣 Looking forward to seeing what you think about the ship and especially the new bars. All these reviews have me really excited for my Celebration cruise next year!

I was scrolling through and wondering how you got such good seats lol. There have been a lot complaints about seating on Celebration. I'm interested in seeing the new shows, but I'm not going to grab a seat 2 hours early just to get a good view.

I had that on my last MG cruise. It was quite good. I'd eat it again.

I heard they have some new daily specials at Emeril's on Celebration. Have you seen the menu for those?

This was back in January when we were at 60% capacity, so I figured it was a lack of staffing thing. I'll be back on MG in 10 days (whoop!) so I'll definitely try the watermelon crush this time.
