  1. How does the watermelon crush compare to the watermelon martini at the steakhouse? The watermelon martini is my favorite Carnival drink. I wanted to try the watermelon crush on my last MG cruise but every time I went to The Watering Hole, they were always closed.
  2. Love Spike Davis. We saw him on Mardi Gras earlier this year and chatted with him several times. Very cool guy. Trevor was the comedy club host on Horizon earlier this year and he was awesome. So fun and full of energy. Hoping he'll still be on Celebration when I sail in May.
  3. I have FTTF for my upcoming cruise. My check in date was 14 days before the sail date, not 16 like D/P. Even so, I was able to easily get the earliest arrival appointment. So far, nothing from Carnival about having to stick to our arrival times, but John Heald has been telling everyone that FTTF guests can just go straight to the priority line regardless of their check in time. I suppose in a few days we'll be hearing first hand accounts about how it actually plays out.
  4. Yes but this was about a year ago, when they hadn't fully resumed all cruises and they were giving out OBC for covid-related cancellations. I can't say if they give any compensation for cancellations for other reasons.
  5. From what I've read and experienced, when bookings disappear like this and don't return after a day or two, that means they're cancelled. People ask John Heald or call Carnival and get varying answers, but they end up being cancelled. This happened with a cruise I had last year. It disappeared and no one could give a definitive explanation, then it ended up cancelled. They're probably just working a few things out before they send out an email to everyone affected. Obviously I'm hope I'm wrong, but I doubt it.
  6. $149.95 for my 7 day on the Mardi Gras. I bought it with my $100 shareholder OBC, plus a leftover gift card for the rest.
  7. I always bought it in the past and I've been waiting patiently for it to return. I will be buying it as soon as it's available. I sail December 10 so this is perfect.
  8. Same here. I have 3 Chase cards and never get these either.
  9. Yes, someone asked. He said he was going to check on it. So we'll see.
  10. There hasn't been an announcement yet, but there was speculation in another thread about it going into dry dock during that time. It seems like the only logical reason. My cruise was also affected, so I'm just waiting for the official word from Carnival so I can call my PVP and reschedule.
  11. 500 points for me! You guys can have the scratch off game lol. I win more often with the wheel. You don't actually have to play any of the games on the Carnival sweepstakes. Just scroll down and there's a button to skip the game and still get your entry.
  12. My sailing for 2/4/24 is missing too. It does seem like it may be a dry dock. I got a great deal on a Havana aft balcony for that sailing, so I will be quite disappointed if it's cancelled. Hopefully they let us know soon so we can all plan accordingly if necessary.
  13. I originally booked an Excel aft suite on the Celebration for next year for $7600. I ended up getting a price drop during their 50% off birthday sale, so I'm paying around $4300 now, but it's still my most expensive cruise.
  14. I had never had bread pudding before, but I finally tried one earlier this year because so many people raved about it. It instantly became my favorite Carnival dessert. Now I'll have to finally try the funfetti cheesecake on my next cruise.
  15. I did a park and cruise package at Residence Inn earlier this year, and I'm doing one at Homewood Suites next month. They're just a few minutes away from the port and both have shuttles, but I didn't use them. There are 5 or 6 hotels right there together in that area and I think most, if not all, of them do a park and cruise package.
  16. I got 1000 points two days in a row! They must be feeling extra generous because it's the holiday season lol.
  17. I hope it comes back soon. I did it on the Vista a few years ago and it was really cool. I would LOVE to do one on an Excel class ship.
  18. You can't actually add it to your cart yet, but I hope this is a sign that it's coming back very soon.
  19. Oh wow, that's a big jump. I normally order a case even though we get Cheers, just for the convenience of having them already in the room. Good thing I already preordered water for all of my upcoming cruises, but I think I'll just get them from the bars after that.
  20. Blue Iguana - Breakfast and lunch burritos, burrito bowl Deli - Reuben Jiji's - everything Shaq's Big Chicken - MDE and Big Aristotle, fries when they're fresh Street Eats - almost everything Chibang - steak stir fry noodle bowl MDR - Indian vegetarian, blackened pork tart, roasted broccoli & three cheese soup, meatballs, Bitter n Blanc (wish they served this every night like the Chocolate Melting Cake) Lido buffet - coconut gelato and all the cakes Pizza There's a lot more but that's all I can think of right now.
  21. The Celebration will have Emeril's, but it will be named Emeril's Bistro 1397 instead of 1396 like on Mardi Gras. It will also have 2 bars in the same place as Brass Magnolia and Fortune Teller. You can take a look at the deck plan to see how it compares to Mardi Gras: https://www.carnival.com/~/media/Images/Ships/CB/DeckPlans/carnival-celebration-deck-plan-pdf
  22. I had an itinerary change for a cruise in 2024. I asked John Heald and the response was that it was due to "operational issues," which could mean anything. *shrug*
  23. Me too. I much prefer using the wheel to the scratch off.
