  1. One hold, but not sure of the amount. It drops off soon after the cruise.
  2. If we have a specific night we want to do the Chef's Table, we book before the cruise, even thought it is more money. We get a 50% discount for having the UDP. We have been on many cruises where nights were sold out.
  3. A point of view from someone on the other end. After 30 years in petrochemicals, I needed to keep busy for a few years before I retired. So I started a construction business, (Insulation, solar, roofing, carpentry). After a few years and time to sell and retire, the company was sued 2 times. Both 7 figures. One was easy. Covered by my general liability insurance. I talked to the lawyer one time and never heard about it again until they settled. I had to pay the $5K deductible. Still have no idea what they paid and don't care. The second was not covered by GL and it went on for 2 years. The answers from plaintif during disclosure were lies and I told me lawyer. Went to court 6 times and the plaintiff never showed. The Plaintiff's lawyer always asked for a continuance. And it was granted, with our objection. After 2 years, and $70K of legal fees, the other lawyer admitted they had not seen or heard from their client since the original claim. The Case was finally dismissed and I wanted to sue the other attorney for my fees. I was advised it would cost more than I would get and not worth it. Our legal system sucks!
  4. Sorry. did not mean to offend Tag owners. Yes they do have watches over $5K, but don't really sell many. Most medium watch companies make expensive watches for their spokespersons and reps. But as you can see, they don't sell many. This is sales by largest model last year and sales by collection last year. Not many over $5K
  5. Yes. $5k is the high end. Tags can be had for $1k. High side $4k. That is not luxury. It’s in affordable category.
  6. I don’t think anyone puts Tag in the high end watch category. I think they are in the affordable market
  7. IMO, the best place to shop for watches is Vegas. They have about every brand store and a great selection. If you know what you want and are looking for a specific watch, Nassau is as good a place as any as long as you are buying from an AD. Depending on brand, 10 to 20% is about as good as you will get.
  8. Navigator has 4 plus Playmakers. Hooked, Chops, Jamie's and Izumi
  9. Our kids do go to Cabo alone and use our car to drive around - but they are older (so not your point) . Grandkids too young to go anywhere alone. I don't think I would let my kids go alone into town if they were under 18. My wife will walk around alone and even go to the bank for a withdraw by herself. We also had to stops on Mexico after our PC cruise and felt very comfortable walking around. But there are certainly parts of Mexico (even beach areas) that we would not want to go to.
  10. Have to disagree. Feel much safer walking around the local area of Cabo then I would walking around some cities in the US. It is really not so hard to figure out where not to go in Mexico. Yes, there were 75 Americans killed in Mexico last year (all of Mexico), but there were about 30 million visitors, to me, that seems pretty safe odds. BTW - I would bet most of the 75 were doing something wrong.
  11. I'm sure there are parts of Mexico that are not safe, just like the US and most countries. We feel very safe in Cabo and have never had an issue. Most of the stories you hear are people where they should not be doing something they should not be doing.
  12. We really don't do resorts anymore as we have access to pools and beaches. But when we did, we never did AI. We really like to explore the area and eat in local restaurants and visit local bars and clubs. Also easier to find a bar with live music outside the resort. We have friends that have timeshares on Mexico and never leave the resort. Not sure I understand, but their choice. We cruise for itinerary and get off at every port and explore.
  13. Our favorite for Taco's is Asi & Asado, (diners, drive-in's and Dives) but you will need to take a cab or uber. Tiki Bar is more for seafood, Taco's are ok. El Coral is supposed to be the oldest restaurant in Cabo and pretty authentic. Most of our favorites are really for dinner. Gardenia's is a local favorite for Taco's, but not our's.
  14. They are closed. Javier had some health issues and moved to Mexico City
  15. It’s Tiki Bar. The office is on the beach. You can have water Taxi drop you off after your tour and pick you up to take you back to marina. Negotiate this first. You will get wet exiting taxi on beach. Just Fyi
  16. Cabo Wabo is pretty dead until 10 pm
  17. The end of July will be very hot and humid. There are a bunch of nice beach bars. If that is not what you are looking for, there is Zip Line, ATV, camel rides. You can grab a $10 water taxi to see the arch and the rock formations and they can drop you at a beach bar. The Marina has a lot of shops, flee markets and good restuarants (Tiki Bar is our favorite for lunch). There are sail and snorkel local trips, but not sure the timing will work. On the beach you can rent jet skis, stand up waterboards, parasailing, and Hobie cat sailiing .
  18. Only the 4 night goes to Catalina - the 3 night is only Ensenada.
  19. True, but after a few years of not using it, I got a letter saying they were going to cancel unless I made a charge by a certain date. Now I try to make a small purchase every year, although not sure why as I don't think I will use it again.
  20. We've had it since 2005 and for the first few years it was great and we did get free cruises. Have not used it in probably 15 years (except $100 per year to keep it active). So many better options for travel cards. Probably a good choice if you can't manage your points or cash back.
  21. I always apply for the OBC as soon as I make the booking - Yes, we've been up to 2 years out. No reason to wait.
  22. So how do you use your 2 days in different non consecutive 24 hour periods? I thought once you logged in, your 48 hours started. We usually just buy wifi, but have a 4 day in front of a longer B2B and figured we could use the benefit.
  23. Never happened to us, but I have seen them search carry on bags if they see something on the X-ray. I would assume like the airport, you can request the search in private.
  24. Don’t think there is any such thing as a “preemptive tip”. What you describe is called a bribe.
