  1. Thanks, and ugh, I know how easily that could screw up a great B4B! I’ll likely just cancel though still playing around with other options, if the schedule was open further out that would help but right now the price of airfare isn’t helping! It’s making my question my Feb ‘24 4 night!
  2. Is there a higher category that also dropped? You may find an upgrade cabin opportunity! But unless you just booked, no one has any options for price reduction once final payment happens. Best not to check anymore unless you are stalking a high category (this is the only reason I keep checking for my October cruise though we’re past FP).
  3. I don't think Liberty has Playmakers, I don't think Liberty has any overall AMPed features. That said, I loved her when she first sailed and have sailed on her 4 times though it's been almost 10 years since the last time!
  4. There is no way to tell how lucky you may be with waitlisting since it is so dependent on each sailing, but get on the waitlist and keep checking. If that doesn't work, head to the MDR upon boarding and see if they can get you into early or MTD. If not, just plan on doing the WJ for nights when you need to eat earlier. The WJ is often a great ambience at night - lights not as bright, quiet, may work out better than expected with a baby!
  5. My husband always ordered me flowers when we sailed together or when I sailed solo, but haven’t seen them as an option anymore. Have also heard many who ordered even the birthday or anniversary decorations found instead a note offering a refund as supply shortage abounds.
  6. It’s too bad I can’t keep the room, I’d likely enjoy the music and crowd!! But I haven’t bit the bullet on charter pricing yet! Heck I checked the alternate cruises and where my price is protected I really am not interested but everything else is way more even this far out. Will likely just cancel but I have some time to be sure!
  7. Sigh, booking ahead for a Valentine's Day sailing gone awry, LOL! A few options I'll have to look at more closely when work isn't crazy, or at least, full refund including non-refundable deposits if I decide to...
  8. Our October cruise has Labadee and Coco Cay and the best so far is $75.99, so no, I don't think the private islands change the pricing. Since only one of our ports can't use it, and we're not getting off at that one either, and I just wanted to not worry about it since it's a birthday/anniversary cruise, I got it at the $75.99. I'll still check to see if it goes lower but it's paid for now, one less thing to worry about!
  9. Interesting, I can see pros/cons with either morning or evening but I guess if I am offered a choice I'll clarify about what time they're aiming to complete it. Even if not offered a choice I'll ask what time they'll aim for - while we are fairly consistent in our travel habits I'll be curious to see how it goes. I expect we won't mind, but it will all depend on overall accessibility.
  10. They once tried to do that to use (7 at a table for 6) and we all came together - we did complain after night one, it was just too tight a squeeze where that table was and we got a terrific table the rest of the week. This was many moons ago so I don't know how much they'd accommodate now, and now it tends to be just DH and I travelling so we do WJ or MTD for just 2!
  11. Yep, I keep trying to upgrade my cabin to a suite since this is a big anniversary/birthday cruise but prices are just going crazy still and I know I'll be just fine in a balcony so will just use whatever measures needed once I see how our sailing is. Overall, I'll be so happy to be back on a ship and not at work I may not care at all lol!
  12. I'm hoping I won't need to, but did have to resort to it at a recent hotel conference. I'm never trying to be difficult but at home I can dry towels more easily and/or do laundry if needed, and on vacation I prefer to feel more on vacation so no extra thought and minimal effort lol! It would be awesome if they opened a housekeeping station for an hour in the morning and evening on each deck - even if just to dump used towels in a bin and ask for new ones. I know that would likely be seen as we have to do things ourselves but that would be easy enough to just go swap and not worry about requesting. I know logistically that may not be feasible but I'm all about finding an efficient solution that doesn't add more burden on the crew. Then again Royal isn't asking me for my help lol!
  13. Yep, I shower more on a cruise because of using sunscreen and hitting the gym every day. I also have very thick hair so and towels don't always dry in time and I don't want to use damp ones either. I may just start grabbing extra pool towels and using those and swapping them out later if I run into any problem swapping out towels.
  14. Yep, I don’t recall ever receiving one but also wouldn’t ever rely on it, e-mail doesn’t seem as reliable anymore for timeliness!
  15. When life throws major curve balls I can see how it's easy to see reminders and think, "oh I need to do that" and because you're in the middle of a life storm, days can pass before you get back to a place to do it, likely having missed a deadline. Having had some of those times of life I do what I can to stay ahead of the game with multiple reminders but won't ever say it couldn't also happen to me. As I get older those curve balls come from all directions!
  16. Interesting, just checked and never received a reminder for my Oct cruise which payment is due 7/9 but I paid it end of June, but still after 2 weeks before it was due. Maybe I would have received it, maybe not, I am in the remind myself every way possible camp. I did just check though and don't have email opted-out.
  17. We don’t so much ever fill it now as the 2 of us, but in years traveling with kids, many different reasons. Then again I still love the memory of my youngest storing his room service cookies in the safe on his first cruise! I feel for all stewards though when kids are involved, I know how mine were and they aren’t super messy! I always did cleaning of my own to help save some time for the steward, and always tipped extra!
  18. I don’t mind how hotels do it at all for the most part, and I can usually grab my own ice 🙂 swapping out towels and getting a refresh can sometimes get tricky due to timing for when you check in/out and service. I find it completely depends on the hotel - one at a recent conference had a housekeeping desk where you could grab extra needed items (toilet paper, towels, etc) and that was great - we could grab it on our way back to the room.
  19. It's the ice bucket I'm most worried about, but I'll deal if needed! Love that she hid a stash for you!
  20. Thanks for sharing, I'm hoping I won't care since I've gotten used to no service in hotels unless you stay longer or request it, but I also did love the twice daily service. I've had to hunt down additional towels at hotels too, and it's a PITA, so I'll know to stay on it if needed! I think I'd be fine with once a day if I have a findable steward, and we are not needy, but do have some requests we appreciate and tip well for.
  21. Great, thank you! I'll grab ship towels for loungers and a bed and not having to remember to hunt down water ahead of time!
