  1. My vote is change it since she already changed her DL to her married name - then take passport too but also marriage license. Why? Because I like looking back at my seapass cards and don't love the ones I took with DH before that still have my ex's name. Now I realize hers is her maiden name, so she may not care, but if she does, it's worth it. The fact she changed her DL to married name means she's likely using that now and she'll appreciate being referred to that on board.
  2. I did the gifts option and did not get Evian - I got 12 small off-brand bottles. Unfortunately the receipt did not specify Evian which I was expecting. I have a feeling you get what the ship has on hand. This was on the Mariner last week.
  3. Oops, I didn’t realize they had added that, when I did it it wasn’t a charge but they also only added a note on the back page that stated the name was changed - it confused almost every TSA agent!
  4. Love the rationale on the within 15% - the convenience alone of the drink package on our cruise last week was worth it. And we got our money's worth but truly the convenience is one of my favorite parts. It also helped we went to both private islands where it worked too. Our next cruise is more port heavy and while I want the convenience, I'm not sure it will be worthwhile, I'm hoping for some sales since it's a 9 night!
  5. If she got married less than a year ago and changed her name less than a year ago she can submit her passport for a name change at no charge. That is smart to do regardless since she has a few years left. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/have-passport/change-correct.html I don't take this question as not letting daughter fly on her own - since she's not doing the planning she may not have thought of names, OR she may assume it's in her married name. These are the revelations that often happen way too late in the process.
  6. She could travel just as is with her passport since it matches the booking name. She doesn't need to show DL. The key is what does she want her name to be on board - that does matter to many - so if she wants her seapass card to be married name you need to change the cruise booking name and bring passport and marriage license. I'd also then recommend the DL and BC so you have all bases covered.
  7. Of course, just read up on all the changes - I don't tend to pick the big ships so I have to aim higher than JS since I've now tasted the suite life lol!
  8. I've seen that when I stalk the pricing for cruises I'm booked at - I always find something else has changed - usually taxes are higher and not shown, etc.
  9. Makes sense, I had to keep asking for more water too when my "Tito's and water" started showing up as Titos only lol and I always also drink a water along with my T&W ! Great service though, no complaints at all!
  10. Yep, that's what we heard and figured. I didn't mind taking any with me when it helped them to serve one more since we had the deluxe package.
  11. No restrictions - I switched from a fixed room on a 6 night to a gty on a 9 night. This is for 2024 so we're before final payment so the $100pp ($200) was added to our billing statement for the 9 night.
  12. Happy 26th Anniversary - hope it's an amazing trip! Just celebrated 10 years on 10/10 on Mariner last week - I'm thinking we too will start following the every October plan.
  13. There are only 4 balcony aft rooms - so here is what I could find: 6390 -
  14. Last week on Mariner I had a hard time getting OUT of playmakers given the bartenders would refill my drinks before I asked for another (drink package) - but obviously we weren't just using seats. We did hear the bartenders are tasked with serving as many drinks as possible, and we found great service at all bars except the sleepy Plaza bar where no one seemed to want to work.
  15. They also often show it as "lowest price" but for multiple dates, often not the date you are on or after. In your example it shows 2 dates, so it may not be for your sailing, but yes, it's often shown as a number to grab you - they take after car dealer advertising!
  16. Horseshoe looks beautiful! Bermuda looks like so much fun, we so should have stayed on board!
  17. Same - I said that to my husband too, there is just nothing like it to me, the being at sea. I also love there is always something going on if you need activity, but quiet if you don't! I've found resorts can be very hit or miss with crowds and quiet places when there are crowds (I'm more of a quiet place person).
  18. Yes, they'll send you new docs with updated luggage tags. They did for me recently!
  19. Happy Anniversary! We celebrated our 10th last week on Mariner at Izumi 🙂
  20. Playmakers was our favorite bar last week! Tell the crew “Tito’s and water” says hi! 🙂 I adored that crew! Have an absolute blast, this will make ship withdrawals easier - thank you!!
