Good Morning Everyone, I had an extremely busy work week. We hired 3 new employees and was busy with their initial training. One girl that was interviewed while I was on my cruise has some issues and most likely will not work out. Then I had a dinner meeting with a previous employee who wanted to discuss some events / concerns about why she resigned. Shame she didn't bring these to my attention while still working there but good to know now to prevent those issues from happening again. We had quite chilly weather this past week (nothing like the teaser weather the week before). Yesterday was just plain ugly with chilly downpours from about 4 am to 3 or 4 pm. Today is sunny and temps should be in the 50's this week. @BonTexasNY Happy to hear your hernia surgery went well and hopefully your recovery is going well too! 💐 @firefly333 I hope your recovery from catarect surgery is going well. You are probably getting tired of those eye drops. Eric seem to have a lot of the drops run down his face instead of in the eye. Yes, there is a very small narrow hallway to both doors for the JS and interior solo cabin.

Some of the workers in the shopping area live on Berry Island and take the ferry. I know the girls that do braiding do this everyday. And they told me Royal took good care of them during covid shutdowns.

Just make sure you redeem asap if using for your sailing in 2 weeks. They are strict about the timeline to process. I received one for Christmas and forgot about it. Then I tried to redeem a week or so before my cruise and was told unable to process that quick.

I did not see any onboard dining specials on my cruise 2 weeks ago. Offers will definitely vary per ship and the restaurants bookings. Maybe book one or two lunches with the cruise planner sales. Lunch menus are very similar to dinner menus but usually half the price.

True, with everyone leaving at the same time there can be a wait for wheelchair assistance to disembark. I think we reserved 830 and were off before 9 am

When my DH needed a scooter he was told he could ride it down to the waiting area for wheelchair assistance and leave the scooter there instead of the cabin. Many others did this too

I personally have not used but had friends that did arrange with guest services onboard Anthem. The cost to Newark airport (EWR) was either $28 or $30 / per person and shuttle left port somewhere between 8:30 to 9:00 am

They do offer a shuttle bus to EWR, not sure about other airports. They only offer the shuttle if your flight is after 12 pm

Same here. Haven't seen a Krispy Kreme in many years. We have local bakeries / donut shops and one Dunkins near us.

Are you picking a paint color for the cabinets or the walls? If painting the cabinets for now, I like Ice Cube or your Heron Plume, something with a light grey would go well with the countertop. I understand not wanting to lose the countertop but would strongly consider replacing those '80's style cabinets in the near future. Maybe they can reface them or salvage the countertop if able to remove it without damaging it.

Yes, Diamond members get 1 day free (24hours). With most sailings out of the US leaving port between 4 and 5 pm we usually skip buying internet on boarding day, then DH and I use our free day(s) depending on port schedule. The onboard cost a week ago on Anthem was $25.99 for 1 device per day.

You can purchase internet (Voom) on cruise planner prior to boarding. IF you need only 1 device the price has been running around $18 or $19/day but must purchase for the entire cruise if bought on cruise planner. Black Friday sales in November usually offer the best price for extras such as internet and drink packages. If you do Not need internet every day and want to wait until middle or towards end of your cruise you could save yourself some money and buy onboard. If your sailing is port intense, most European sailings are, then you may not want to purchase the alcohol package (deluxe beverage package) you may be better just paying as you go. The usual breakeven is anywhere from 5 to 7 drinks per day. You could purchase the refreshment package that gives you bottled water, speciality coffees, fresh squeezed juices and soda then pay for any wine, beer or cocktails as you go.

I have a blank sea pass card I got from guest services or DL Concierge and just use it every cruise.

Many cruisers are saying it is very loud there with hardly anywhere to get away from the constant music/DJ with lots of bass.

Book as you said then as others have said go to guest services and get spare keys. We have done this before with no questions asked. Do not ask to have names re-arranged/re-assigned as that is a red flag for the casino.

My DH had a recent back injury and we rented a scooter for our cruise from: https://www.specialneedsatsea.com/ We found they had better pricing than others I shopped. They delivered the scooter to the cabin and we were able to get wheelchair assistance at the cruise terminal to get us onboard so he didn't have to do the long walk through terminal to the ship. I have heard they are able to arrange scooter pick up outside the cruise terminal but that seems to vary by cruise port. It is not easy to turn the scooter around inside a standard OV If possible book an accessible cabin it will be so much easier to maneuver the scooter than a standard OV. Plus easier to get in and out of the cabin door if by yourself.

Same here. We have had some great days exploring the island. I think some people just get off the ship and walk around to shop or find a restaurant vs. leaving the port area and checking out what the island has to offer.
