  1. I enjoy the area and only you can say whether you want to spend the money on a more secluded club than the free areas on the island. Pre-covid I was booking this area for $46/pp. Yes, they have done some upgrades to it and is a nice area with a nice lunch (filet and lobster are some of your choices). The pool area is nice but the in-water pool loungers tend to fill up early. Plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas on the beach. I booked for $79 pp for a Sept 2023 cruise last fall. And have not booked for any other cruises that are selling this area for over $100 + pp
  2. @Coralchow is everything where you are? i hope you are okay and didnt have damage from the bomb cyclone the other day.
  3. Yes, there are plenty of shady areas with loungers to relax at chill island. Usually the loungers closer to the water have the most sun. Yes, the shopping huts are right across from chill island and there is a building with bathrooms in that area. And a cute little shaded Bar, I think called the sea gull.
  4. No, you would not be able to wheel into bathroom nor is there a seat in the shower. And sink would be an issue for someone in a wheelchair to access.
  5. As the new menus are still in test stage, not available for every ship right now. If you want to see menu for a current sailing on whatever ship you will be on you can go to the Royal caribbean app.
  6. Yes, once onboard go to any of the specialty restaurants and reschedule the dates/times you want. You can go to restaurant host at Wonderland to book a reservation for chops or any restaurant. Go to the one with the smallest line. Enjoy😀
  7. Yes, you are correct there is a floating bar at south beach. But it's possible breezy bay has one too. I'm not sure as I have never hung out at that beach.
  8. My last time at south beach I recall day beds being close to the water not behind loungers, maybe some are and I just didn't notice since I was in the water and swimming to the floating bar. I agree I don't like location of beds at chill island. I'm sure wherever you end will be nice. Don't over analyze, just go and have fun😀
  9. I agree, we hardly see people hanging out at their day bed for long. We don't stay seated long enough for us to justify paying $200. We usually find our loungers, plop everything down, hang out for a bit then wander around, get in the water, get food and drink, wander to shopping area...sometimes I get my hair braided...the girls there do a great job, go snorkeling, then back to lounger to dry off and read and relax before heading back to ship.
  10. Yes, the area to do jet skis is between chill beach and breezy bay. Based on the fact you are doing jet skiis and want to snorkel, which is best off chill island than a daybed at Breezy Bay would work good for you. Re: jet skiis they will give you a 15 min safety briefing then everyone leaves at the same time. It's a follow the leader type of jet skiing, you are not allowed to just go off on your own. They are fun, we did it precovid and hope to do again this year.
  11. 8000 people isn't bad. We have been there with over 10,000 people and that was okay. I could be wrong but I think some of day beds at Breezy bay look right at some of the floating cabanas. I like chill island for snorkeling where a plane is underwater. Don't like location of chill island daybeds. I'm not sure where floating water toys are located. If you Google perfect day map a couple of them come up. Oasis pool is easy access from anywhere. Pool tends to get very crowded and has loud music. So depends if you want that vibe or want peace and relaxation. You can always take the tram from one side of the island to the other. We either go to south beach or hang at chill island for snorkeling or the beach club if priced right.
  12. @Jimbo not sure if anyone else gave their opinion but if looking to get a day bed on CocoCay. I would probably pick South Beach. This would be close to the floating bar, one of the snack shacks, bar, bathrooms and volleyball, basketball area. Also easy on and off the tram.
  13. They will definitely help out. You probably already have a good idea of what you can cannot eat. Are you set up with traditional dining? It helps if you can have same table, same waitstaff every night. When you are board the ship go see the dining room host and let them you have dietary restrictions and would like to speak with head waiter when you are seated for dinner.
  14. While the TA announcement for Spring crossings has been made. Grant it may change as protocols change on a regular basis everywhere in the world. I guess Royal doesn't want to chance having a unvaxxed person get extremely sick in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. If you are not willing to accept their protocols then you will need to call them to cancel.
  15. Yes, the head waiter in the MDR will meet with to discuss diet with you. Sorry you are going through this and hopefully can avoid having to do dialysis. I have a very good friend who does at home peritoneal dialysis and was able to cruise any sailing and do dialysis in cabin while sleeping. No extra charge by royal and they handle her supplies beautifully.
  16. Yes, in most cases a no show is better than revising and possibly getting a reprice.
  17. If you Google your question you will get directed to this17056800_Nonrefundable_FAQ_News.pdf Policy is spelled out on their faq section of their website.
  18. I'm pretty sure that Spring of 2022 they had vax requirements for TA crossings from US to Europe.
