I had no plans of getting a new kitty until 2 weeks ago Eric looked on the shelter website when I asked what he wanted for Christmas. Next thing I knew I was calling the shelter Monday morning when we both had off from work and we picked up Petey. He ended up in the shelter as there had been an apartment complex fire sometime in October and he was found wandering around outside. They held him for 60 days and noone claimed him so they put him up for adoption. He is a real sweetie but he hates being picked up. Hopefully he will learn to trust us and let us pick him up. He curls up on the sofa every night to watch TV but we haven't figured out where he is sleeping at night yet. And boy he is a ball of energy and is getting into everything. So far he has done well with the Christmas tree.

Here is our newest addition...Petey He's about 7 or 8 months old and is part Manx and domestic tabby. We picked him up last Monday from same shelter Sparky and Eva came from. He hid the first 2 days. Now he won't sit still long enough for a decent photo. other than nap time.

Temps are expected to be in the low 60's in my area of PA this weekend. I plan on taking down some of the lights (mostly the ground lights and figurines like snoopy, woodstock and rudolph). Definitely going to clean up the house this weekend as it looks like a hurricane hit ever since Christmas. I think we are going to leave the tree up for one more week, it is a fresh tree and still looks pretty darn good. We didn't get it until the weekend before Christmas. Cruise fares go up and down on a regular basis. Lots of factors come into play. Continue to price check your cruise fare and air fare and maybe you will see a price drop (fingers and toes crossed). Besides the fact everything costs more nowadays!

We used to have this happen too! I would travel occasionally for work and the same thing would happen and we did the same thing - we split up who would use what card to avoid the problem.

I have a card I use at local gas station every week and this past month every time I went to use it I would get texted a fraud alert. Credit card company couldn't figure out why as they could see it was a frequent location. Sometimes the alerts are nice, sometimes they are annoying but Better safe than sorry is what I say.

3 weeks from now things should be much calmer, kids will be back to school and less travelers, hopefully. Several years ago when Eric had his transplant we were told to schedule an appt. with the Infectious Disease Dr at Penn Medicine. This Dr. taught us the proper way to wash our hands and also advised us when flying to bring anti-bacterial wipes and wipe down the armrests, food tray, basically anything you may touch while seating. then when done wiping down everything to use purell on your hands. If you have any open cuts on your hands to use a band-aid. She had also instructed us to always use the hand wipes that are provided at food stores to wipe down your shopping cart, not just the handle but the side or very end if you have the tendency to grab a shopping cart from the end opposite the handle. There were many things she covered and a lot of them were the same practices some doctors said to use during covid. If you are worried about covid/flu, etc. while flying maybe you want to use some of these practices and/or wear a mask if you feel they will help you. "They" say pretty much everyone will have covid at same time in their life. Time to live life and enjoy

Hi Sue, sorry to hear you are unwell. Hope you feel better soon and the babies remain OK. We watched the last episode of The White Lotus. Wow!! Definitely was not an ending I was expecting. Nice twist in the plot. Of course, I was not surprised the young girl took the young man's money. Young and naive got the better of him.

We are back home. Had a wonderful Christmas at my Brother's home. Unloaded the car, put food away and now in pjs ready to watch some free HBO. Free all week. Eric just poured some eggnog with kraken..so good even though we are still full from dinner and deserts.
