  1. Many years ago, when I was late teens or early 20's I was on the Atlantic City boardwalk early evening and had my first run in with a homeless person. He kept following us and demanding money to the point I was getting scared. I had been told my parents prior to this experience to never give Money to a homeless person as it will just feed their drug habit. So I asked him if he wanted a slice of pizza or just then I saw McDonald's or Burger King was just down the block. He was so thrilled I offered so we all walked into whichever place it was and I bought him a bunch of items (as much as I could afford at that age). He kept blessing me and I felt sorry for him and was happy that I helped. I try to help someone when I can but if they are rude and obnoxious then forget it.
  2. Happy to hear nothing has changed with your brain tumor. Sorry to hear about your Mom. Hopefully she is not in any pain now. 🙏
  3. We were a little unsure when the surge hit, especially since my hubby is a transplant recipient that is immuno compromised, but he decided the Heck with it, we are going! We felt extremely safe onboard especially since we had about 1600 passengers (30% +/-). We were supposed to do a b2b Jan 9th and the 20th but we work remotely and we were unable to access work files due to problems with our wifi and accessing VPN so we cancelled our 2nd leg. Happy Wife, Happy Life😀
  4. I have never done the UDP on any ship. I guess it depends on how much you like the menus for various specialty and if worth the extra $$$. If we buy a dining pkg we usually get the 3 night pkg or do the BOGO as there are certain dinners in MDR that we look forward to. Sometimes we order the Chops Filet in the MDR for $16.95. We are not izumi people, except the hibachi. Playmakers has decent menu for lunch but once a week is enough for me. We did not try portside bbq but heard it was average, nothing to rave about. CP 150 is a great place.
  5. I did one of the 11 night sailings last January. They are nice itineraries. We love cruising that time of year.
  6. Positive thoughts and prayers a full recovery for your Daughter. It is difficult to watch a loved one go thru the process. I'm sure she is very happy and comforted to have such wonderful parents be there for whatever she needs 💕 stay strong and positive and everyone will get through this.🥰
  7. I agree, so much better than Oasis class. I love the outdoor area behind WJ too!
  8. Schools in some areas started in August but for others they started this week.
  9. We were, also, on this sailing and agree with almost everything you said. WJ and Solarium Bistro were big disappointments of food selection. We tried breakfast in both locations and was very disappointed so I stuck with breakfast in MDR, which is rare for us. Tried WJ for lunch and burger meat was horrible. We ate at CK 1st night and really enjoyed the filet but weren't thrilled with service so we didn't book again. We dined at MDR at 530 pm and enjoyed our food and service was outstanding. We were on deck 5 of MDR and had a brand new waiter and asst. waiter that were awesome. CocoCay cannot handle 2 large ships. I was served Raw chicken sandwich at Snack shack!! We, also. Had problems finding loungers at South Beach. Aqua Show was excellent! We had around 6500 passengers with little over 2000 kids. People sure do need to learn elevator etiquette!! The wait tines for elevators was the worst with this many people, some very rude. Re embarkment. We arrived a little before 11 am and sat in traffic for more than 30 minutes. Worst I have ever seen. Guess we will go back to our usual 1 pm checkin for our December Anthem cruise. Once we got parked and inside the terminal that was a breeze. Disembarkment was a breeze too. We left ship around 8 am and found a porter to take our luggage to parking garage. We're on the road by 8:23. As you said, not our best cruise and we enjoyed finding quite spot in Sun Garden. Sure was a hot week!
  10. Just finished watching BD DU. Oh Ryan and Magda are double trouble. Aesha has been way to easy going with Magda. Time to put her to work and time to get a new Chef.
  11. We sailed last week on Oasis and saw many men with nice shorts in CK. 1st night, filet, is the best. Dinner is same or slightly better than MDR.
