  1. I have been a convertible owner since the 80's and learned the hard way back then to never leave my roof open. I went to an airshow at Willow Grove Navy Base with some friends and it was a gorgeous sunny day. Was my first convertible so I didn't even think about putting the roof up since there wasn't a cloud in the sky. It showered rather hard for about 10 or 15 minutes and when I returned to my car I was pleasantly surprised to see that someone had thrown a blue tarp over it. Never found out who but really appreciated their act of kindness.
  2. Happy to hear their sail away weather will be nice! We have been stuck in a hot, humid, rainy summer ever since we came home from the shore 3rd week of June. I'm getting really tired of it. It's not just rain but nasty storms with severe flooding in many areas near me. At least we had enough time yesterday to do most of our yardwork before the torrential downpours started. Today's forecast is rain most of the day with severe storms / possible tornado warnings and more flooding this afternoon. Today I am making a big pot of hot and sweet sausage in sauce/gravy with peppers and onions as well as some eggplant parm to enjoy for lunch platters I pack for workdays and for Eric to enjoy too.
  3. They are such beautiful flowers and such a shame they only bloom once a year and do not last long. Thank you for sharing 🤩
  4. Yes, I have heard they do cancel flights and on our day they have a 9:40 am flight (our flight) then another at dinnertime to Tampa. If neither of these fly they have another flight Monday morning to Tampa. Worst case, we could just book with American airlines out of PHL direct to Tampa but of course price would be much more yo book a last minute flight. I mentioned all of this to Eric as it was the only thing stopping me from booking Frontier sooner, but he said let's give them a try since it is an easy airport to get to by uber.
  5. OMG - I cannot believe they have cheesecake ontop of a milkshake. Looks so yummy and worthy of a good tummy ache
  6. We stayed at the ES in FLL twice years ago but have heard how run down it has become since covid. Hopefully someday they renovate/update as it is a great location. We have cruised Serenade several times, our last time on her was for just about a full month Jan. 2020. We always feel at home onboard Serenade. Exciting to be boarding her again in less than 60 days.
  7. Sorry to hear she brought home an unwelcome souvenir. Rest and lots of fluids. Guess she couldn't remain a virgin forever😁
  8. @arzeena We did it! We have booked our first flights with Frontier out of Trenton Airport for one way to Tampa for our Sept repo cruise on Serenade. Tickets were only $59 pp and we did their bundle pkg (the works) for luggage, priority boarding and their premium economy seats as Eric needs the extra leg room being 6'2". I keep hearing how easy it is to fly from Trenton airport, cannot believe we have never tried it especially since it is approx. 15 to 20 min. drive from our home. Shame they don't have any flights for our return from Boston so we booked first class with American airlines using our amex points. First class was only $110 more than economy and FC includes our luggage so worked out well. We did book the Embassy Suites downtown Tampa for 2 nights pre-cruise (also used our amex points). I like that they have the breakfast buffet and happy hour for 2 hours every evening. Plus it is close to the cruise port, riverwalk and trolley stop. We plan on meeting up with good friends that retired and moved to clearwater area last Fall.
  9. Same here. We got burned by booking.com once for a hotel stay in Baltimore. Then once again by hotels.com, now we book direct w/hotel or book thru amextravel which has always worked for us.
  10. Beautiful photos. Thank you for sharing while on your fun adventure. I love the convertible Jag but sorry the aircon gave out. I'm looking forward to more about your road trip. Have Fun!
  11. @Sea DogVery happy to hear Linda's surgery went well. I know all too well the struggles she will go thru with no use of right hand for a couple of months. Bathroom tasks were the most difficult for me. Not easy but she will eventually find a way to make it work. Then be all better before you know it. Here's hoping everyone gets a good nights rest with no pain.🍹💐
  12. I just tried this for a 9/10 sailing and got a message to "Please ensure my sailing is within the next 30 days"
  13. I'll add to my list, beef wellington that used to be served in the MDR and free room service
  14. I agree Ice sculptures Late night chocolate buffet with the chocolate fountains Late night buffet options Better tasting deserts Drink servers on pool and sky decks that come to the aft area where I like to read and sunbathe Would have loved skeet shooting but we weren't cruising those days We never ate the mints but always a nice touch
  15. I know its not easy. Hang in there, try to get some rest while they do their tests to come up with best solution for Charlie. We are all here for you💞
  16. Stay Positive and keep him in good spirits. He is where he needs to be to get help. You and Charlie are in our thoughts and prayers. ❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏🦋🦋🦋
  17. How horrible for the parents to have to re-live this event 3+ yrs later. They should just let it go and accept the reality that it was a horrible accident and not the fault of Royal.
  18. My September sailing on Serenade recently had it selling for $59.99 Just checked and today's price is $55.99
