Yes, you are definitely right that you have to read your invoice anytime a change request is made. I usually ask the agent to email the updated invoice while I am on the phone with them so I can review and make sure everything looks right so I avoid having to make another phone call. Did they provide you with any special instructions on how to get a full refund due to positive covid test? I hope you are able to re-book a new stress-free cruise soon.

The January cruises are because of Yeshiva school closings happening mid January. My Anthem sailing is offering Kosher meals in Solarium for the entire 11 night cruise at something like $650 pp. The Bistro will be shut down for other passengers.

I have done what you just did and we were never charged the $100 change fee by clubroyale (I hope I don't jinx myself should I have to do this in the future - LOL). And yes, they will refund you the difference of your NRD and the port fees/taxes. Glad to hear it all worked out well for you.

Don't blame yourself or be embarrassed by it. I have had numerous cats in my life and some just hate when they see they are headed for the carrier. I had one big boy who would hide as soon as he saw the carrier. And he would cry and hiss like I was torturing him. While others have just simply walked right into it. I have had some cats love getting groomed and their nails trim where others throw a fit and refuse. Just try your best to remain calm and not yell at her when she struggles. They definitely can sense our anxiety too. My best advice is get her to be calm and relaxed in her favorite spot then wrap her in a towel and scoop her up and into carrier as quick as possible. Have you tried the carrier since the other day?

I saw chewy.com sells them for $40. I'm tempted to buy one to see if I can get Sparky and Petey in it so I can trim their nails. And Petey is due for his 1st annual vet visit since we rescued him this past winter. He's a kicker and screamer for the carrier too

I don't think they will allow him to board. Can you, your DD and her friend go without him?

Update on my neighbor friend. Her Daughter phoned me late last night and said things didn't go well. They had her in the operating room and were unable to do the procedure that she needs. She was very vague with details as she was exhausted and emotionally drained from the day. She said her Mom is in the ICU and she cannot believe how weak and helpless she looks. She was unsure what the next plan is going to be. She is a waiting for her Brother to arrive from out of state today.

@dani negreanu I was wondering if your Son had found an apartment as I watch HGTV International housing show on a regular basis and keep hearing about the Amsterdam housing market being very scarce for purchase and rent. Most end up going a little out of the city center but even those are scarce. I hope they find something long term so they don't have to move the children every couple of weeks. I wish them the best😃

Sounds like a perfect family trip with some quiet time in the middle. It is so fun to experience a cruise with first timers. Children probably more so than adults. Safe travels and hope you have some nice weather too!

Sorry to hear of the loss of your neighbors. Yes, I agree 90 something is a good old age. Her Husband passed away 4 or 5 yrs ago. He had Alzheimer's disease for several years and eventually had a heart attack in his late 80's. She was his primary care giver at home and I know it took a big toll on her mentally and physically but she would have it no other way. After he passed away she has both knees replaced along with her hips. She needed it for many years but couldn't do it since she wanted/needed to care for her Husband. Amazing woman!

I spoke with her and her Daughter last night and they told her Doctors that she wants the open heart surgery done as she refuses to just simply go home and die. She said, If she dies on the table, so be it but she won't be told she is too old for a procedure and be sent home to die. Good to hear she still has fight left in her. She said it is more likely the Doctor doesn't want to tarnish his excellent record and have someone die on the operating table. I tend to agree with her. They are scheduling the surgery for tomorrow.

IMO, it is too early for anyone to have exact answers. They will probably modify a couple of times before it is all worked out.
