  1. Quite easy on a British Isles cruise to divert into a foreign port, ie Ireland, or even France.
  2. Not sure I understand. March 2025, Arvia to the Caribbean is £899 for 14 nights, that's a lot less than £100 per night? And Mediterranean Arvia £799 for 14 nights. seems to be lots of far less than £100 per night.
  3. don;t think the food and bev manager is an officer?
  4. They obviously don't change the menus very often. That is exactly the same as last October!
  5. Yes I know, but when booking a private tour, I kept forgetting which was which!!
  6. Yes but none of this means always that you will fly TUI because if something goes wrong with their aircraft you could be changed.
  7. Yes, we got the £200 each OBC, so quite happy with that. I have asked them to send me a couple of different menus from Vasco, because the example one didn't excite.
  8. I keep getting confused about the names of the islands. Sao Miguel is Ponta Delgada. Praia da Vittoria is terceira.
  9. We will pay as we go for drinks. I don't even see a drinks package, only champagne and wine packages? I found the package another way by typing it into Google. There is no way we would use £50 per day. We have one large glass of wine each before dinner and a bottle of wine which we don't always finish.
  10. April 4th - got £200 pp OBC as well. I have forgotten about my discount as well. That's cheap!! Even the excursion we are doing is cheaper than P&O We rarely do ship excursions, but this one looked good and reasonable. I don't get discount on excursions,, as only Silver level.
  11. It really would be nice. One day! So when are you going to the Azores? Must say, I rather like Fred's way of doing things compared to P&O. I have booked Tastes, although the confirmation didn't mention the price. But I see it in the description. I didn't like the look of the Indian menu, but it's only an example.
  12. Eglesbrech, are you on this cruise. Our trip in Praia is Amazing Tours. Madeira is Madeira Airport transfers.
  13. Yes my friend, who unfortunately died last year, did a British Isles cruise on her and liked her very much. Sounds good for the house Chardonnay.
  14. Doing the Blue and GreenCrater Lakes in Punta Del in a car with local guide. Doing a fred excursion in Praia da Vittoria and another private one in Madeira. Have booked Tastes on your recommendation.
  15. Thanks a lot Eglesbrech. Don't do martinis, but will definitely try the speciality restuarants. Love Asian and Indian. Long time since we sailed on Fred, but looking forward to Bolette. Got a couple of nice private excursions booked, one in Madeira and one in Punta Delgada. No need to pay until you get there either.
  16. I had no problem downloading via wifi ashore to my Kindle and mine is really old.
  17. What ship was this on, because they were coming round all the time at the pools on Aurora.
  18. Certainly wasn't like that on Aurora in October. Everybody seemed to be drinking during the day, which we don't and certainly the bars were full in the evenings. We had a table for 8 an everyone on the table was drinking wine.
  19. Well not really, as if I had waited until I got home to book, it would have been the same price just without that OBC
  20. Well that's one way to look at it, but we booked our October cruise on board and got £520 OBC and freeparking. As our drinks bill having one large wine each and a bottle with dinner came to £570, we will be quids in!! I never buy anything in the shops. As someone said it's tat.
  21. So you haven't fha So you haven't had any drinks, alcoholic or soft and no coffee?
  22. Hi, not sailed on Fred for a while, but do they still keep your wine for the following evening if you don't finish it?
  23. Not just Maleth then 🙂 this one says dense acrid smoke in the cockpit. Not nice. https://www.flightradar24.com/data/flights/vs77#33884c6e
  24. Have to say I hated our Airbus. It flew nose up, so pushing the trolleys was difficult and it yawed at the back. Awful. Mind you that was an A320.
