Apologies for my lack of knowledge, but when I read Iron Dome I visualised an invisible dome shape above the city. Just did my research and realise it is a defence system that intercepts missiles and rockets built in 2011 and has had significant funding from the US Govt.
I’m embarrassed to admit I was unfamiliar with the Iron Dome until Dani mentioned it a while back when Israel was being fired upon yet again in a different attack. Amazing technology and thankful that Israel has this to defend herself.- 6

Embassy Suites was beautiful in it's day, now quite run down.
Quite a few people have reported this. What happened? This used to be my favorite pre cruise hotel in Lauderdale, mainly because of location. -
Would like to add my birthday wishes to one of the nicest people on these boards, Graham @grapau27

And a Sidney, OH. It's not far from Lima, OH, which is pronounced like the bean, not the capital city of Peru. Credit goes to me if you happen to successfully use this info in a trivia contest.
This post made me smile. My grandmother who passed away 27 years ago was born in Lima, OH. Hadn’t heard that in years.- 6

Great news! When I told my boss that we cancelled our January cruise he invited us to their home in Cape Coral for a long weekend.
Yesterday he told me he booked a couple of days at Boca Grande, Gasparilla island.
We will sail on their catamaran to the island. Dock and stay onboard as their catamaran sounds like a small yacht with 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, full living room, full kitchen, and hot tub on sun deck.
I never heard of this island off the coast of Ft. Myers but it looks beautiful from everything I saw online last night.
Boca Grande and Gasparilla are beautiful. True paradise. Enjoy your time there!- 1

Too early. I wouldn’t even book an 11:45 am flight out of FLL for a Miami arrival.

This should be free and paid by the US Government.
There’s no rhyme or reason what the US government will or won’t pay for. I say this as an American.- 1

@Ocean Boy you mentioned wanting to see pics of the inside of my 5th wheel.
Master Bedroom... There is a stacking washer and dryer behind the big door next to the sliding mirrored doors
Bathroom
Living room
Living room from the other direction.
Spare bedroom I have converted into a walk-in closet for DW. (excuse the clutter)
Absolutely gorgeous -
Can someone enlighten me? I’ve not heard of this

DH puts the subtitles on for shows with heavy accents
I love accents. Love trying to figure out where people are from based on how they speak. Funny to me how so many Americans mistake Aussie accents for English accents and vice versa. I can differentiate the two quite easily but many apparently cannot! Also interesting how many accents UK has for its size as opposed to Australia which is close in size geographically to the US.- 7

The Rhapsody has a retractable cover on the Solarium pool
Yes, Rhapsody and the other Vision class ships have retractable roofs on the Solarium pools. -

Love the Solarium on Voyager and Freedom class ships. Open air (which I prefer) great location and usually quiet and peaceful.

This goes for me as well. @Coralc I’m so sorry for your loss. Bobby was a handsome boy.- 5

@Ocean Boy have you watched below deck down under yet this week? We are thinking the guest was having a seizure at the end of the episode? What’s your take?
3 minutes ago, Ocean Boy said:That is certainly a possibility. I also thought he might have occluded his airway with something he swallowed. Next Monday will be interesting.
The guest that experienced the medical emergency also said earlier in the episode that he wasn’t feeling well. He looked like he was sweating heavily as well. Hope it wasn’t anything too serious.- 1

Repo cruises tend to have more experienced cruisers.
That’s for sure. I was on a two week repo cruise on Liberty several years ago and they had to use the Star Lounge on deck 5 for the DL and Viking Crown for the CL (it still existed then) due to 1200+ D and up members on board. Felt bad for the servers as quite a few were very demanding and at times downright nasty.- 1
