How do people afford $20,000 suites?
voyager70 replied to Sigyn's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Well said. I would never tell anyone or try to influence anyone how to spend their money. It’s none of my business. Likewise it’s nobody’s business but mine how I spend my money. -
We try to avoid the sun as well, and like to get a lounger in the shade. Those can be hard to come by as well.

As others have said enforcement is the key. Hopefully they’re finally getting serious about this issue. We’ll find out how well it’s being implemented on EX next month.

western mediterranean cruise

We always use credit cards in foreign ports as most don’t charge foreign transaction fees and they are widely accepted. If we want some local currency we just use a local ATM. Just make sure you notify your bank and credit card issuing bank/s where you will be traveling before you leave home. -
Taxi from Orlando Airport to Cocoa Beach area
voyager70 replied to ClaireA1978's topic in Florida Departures
This is what we do when sailing out of Port Canaveral. Easy to do and has always worked out well. Nice to have a car for the pre cruise stay as well. -
I was going to post the same thing. I’ve been docked next to Radiance class ships with the Solarium roof opened but never on a sailing I’ve been on. The humidity can be overbearing.

I agree. I know it’s a little more money (in comparison to the cost of the cruise) but well worth the peace of mind IMO

Teenagers causing damage to ship this week
voyager70 replied to CruisingHogFan's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I’ve had several aft cabins in the past, but in recent years I’ve been booking cabins more midship, close to the stairs/elevators, including our upcoming cruise in April. May have to start looking at those aft cabins again. Light sleeper here as well. -
Thank you for sharing your experience. We’re onboard for the ABC islands next month 😁

Teenagers causing damage to ship this week
voyager70 replied to CruisingHogFan's topic in Royal Caribbean International
That sounds wonderful. We haven’t sailed X since 2002, only Royal as we love the ships and entertainment. Now that we’ve made it to the half-century club I think it’s time we start looking hard at making the change back to Celebrity. Nothing against kids (well behaved ones) but the more adult environment sounds much more to our liking. -
I agree with @lovesthebeach2. While Oasis Class ships (and I’m sure Icon as well) are architectural and engineering marvels, they’re not my cup of tea. Voyager and Freedom class remain my favorites, followed by Quantum Class. I’ll continue to cruise on ships I enjoy, regardless if Royal chooses to build smaller ships or not.

Nothing necessary at EWR. I’ve routed through EWR on my way to Europe several times (also from a US originating airport).

Cruise stops in Mexico Right Now
voyager70 replied to Livesteamer's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Not sure if you’re aware of the problem with Mexican drug cartels going on in this part of the world right now. -
Really short stop in St thomas? Worth it?
voyager70 replied to Shand9219's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Same with me. My biggest purchase was a gold bracelet I bought in Barbados. Paid around $600, far less than I would have paid at home (I know because I had a jeweler take a look at a local store) 🙂
