  1. I've always received rejection email as above at 48 hours from departure when I did not win an upgrade. Like the OP - I have on occasion had my bid disappear a couple days to a week before departure and they usually show up again or I receive a rejection.
  2. Reminds me of a Summer in San Francisco - Layered Clothing is best choice. BTW when we were there we were very comfortable with a Sweatshirt and a Puffer. Usually the Puffer ended up in the day pack.
  3. Yes --- I've done it many times. BTW - you don't need an invite - as long as you TA participates (Big Box Store does not) just go to link below and enter last name and reservation number and if you are eligible you will get in. I only get invites about 50% of the time. https://www.celebritycruises.com/bid-on-cruise-room-upgrade
  4. Yes that is correct. Also Firestick is easy to slip in but the ability to log onto the Celebrity WiFi is problematic. You often need to bring a mini-router or create a mini hotspot on you pc. Roku on the other hand has a built in method to log onto a captive portal but lacks the capability of VPN that Firestick has as an app.
  5. My experience has been that after the "Cruise with Confidence" COVID policy ended any price reductions after final payment are not eligible for either an OBC or reduction. (exception is the price guarantee for 48 hours from booking). I have however found that sometimes a higher classification cabin drops to a price at least $1.00 higher than you current price and you can UPGRADE to the higher priced cabin.
  6. Both Basic and Premium Wifi using Starlink are throttled down. If you search on the topic you should find a number of threads including mine from Silhouette TA where I recorded speeds daily. Generally I've see Premium capped at about 6 Mg Down 3 Up and Basic about 2 mg down and 1 up.
  7. The TV's on E-Class have both BlueTooth and 3.5 mm jacks. To get to the BlueTooth you have to use the remote like selecting HDMI Ports and select bluetooth. I was in a RS recently and the soundbar wasn't working. I went into the bluetooth and activated it and worked beautifully.
  8. I know the Drink Packages are really expensive but you may wish to do a little research. Get the App and select a current cruise. You will then be able to select any bar and see the bar menu and prices. Consider your drinking habits and calculate what it would cost if you paid for drinks as you consumed them. Many that only have a couple drinks per day find that it is more reasonable to not have a drink package (especially on a port intensive cruise) and pay as they go.
  9. It may be the time of day or Engagement Center's numbers are all busy. I've even been flipped over to the general number when calling the Zenith Line.
  10. Very easy to get a price adjustment. I just did it with the 4th of July Sale. If you have an agent just let them know of the price reduction or call celebrity if booked direct. Price matching is done up until final payment date. I usually send my agent a screen shot of the new price.
  11. I've done it. Like you said the position of the HDMI port is the most difficult part. Last time I asked my Butler and he had someone come up from IT and attach the Firestick. You access the port selection with the in-room remote - They have also implemented a Mirroring option from the Main Screen - very strait forward and easy to use.
  12. I had a similar problem recently. I won an upgrade and they wiped out all of my OBC from Celebrity from booking onboard and sent me a message that I owed for all my Excursion. My agent was having trouble getting resolved as it was not available for him to see on his reservation. A quick call to the Retreat Host with my Agent on the phone got it resolved and everything was reinstated.
  13. In addition to being able to order from MDR menu they should say they have food issues and the maitre 'd will discuss food options for the next night. With 24 hours notice they can facilitate most requirements.
  14. It depends on the agent. Many work from home. I know many of them are in Miami and others in the Midland. Some I have known for 20 years plus.
  15. My experience is the TV can be left on and the power saving shut off is not active. Not sure if the light would bother you. The bridge cam flips between maps. All phones have a wake-up call features.
  16. You may wish to download the Celebrity App an then look under your booking for different bars. They have the menu and pricing for all the bars on the ship. Wine selection may be limited to what is listed. At least it will give you a general feel of the prices of Coffee, Wines, Beer and Liquor by the drink to help calculate if a drink package makes sense.
  17. Anthony, I'm late to finding your live post but just got caught up. Thanks for posting. Your pictures and dialogue really bring back such fond memories. That Dover Sole looked incredible.
  18. Maybe you should buy some rubber dog poop and vomit and leave them on the chair... LOL
  19. If nothing on the Entree menu excite me I often order a dinner size appetizer. Also on M and S class ships I often mix and match from MDR Menu.
  20. I've always used Uber with no problems at all.
  21. I've never purchased any OBC but have pulled off OBC at the slot machines. There are some limitations on requirement to gamble x% or you get locked out from additional charges to the slot. I didn't know that the the 5% fee waiver for Zenith's. I learn something new all the time.
  22. In my experience there is no fee to leave the first night of an overnight at the end of the cruise. I've only been charged when I left in the middle of a cruise and then rejoined after 3 days. I did this in India to take a side trip to the Taj on our own at about 1/4 of the cost of what Celebrity charged for the same tour.
  23. With due respect to the previous post, You actually you can buy OBC - Click on Gifts and Gear https://www.celebritycruises.com/cruise-gifts/items-results?category=ONBDCR&collection=ONBDCR They can be purchased in increments of $25.00 Please note that a 5% handling fee will be assessed if the credit is redeemed in the casino. This is stated on the gift website but I've never seen it actually charged. Unless this is a gift, I would recommend that you just charge to your room and it will be charged to your Debit or Credit Card for any overage of existing Credits. It would be a good idea otherwise to call Celebrity and make sure the gift is a Refundable OBC.
  24. All you have to do is ask your stateroom attendant for an extension cord and Distilled water if you need. You can also make your request in advance https://www.celebritycruises.com/content/dam/celebrity/pdf/Celebrity-Guest-Special-Needs-Form.pdf It is just as easy to wait until aboard and they will take care of it quickly.
