  1. I believe you can still add it at anytime. When I did it I booked the land portion about 6 months after the cruise. But they didn't have non-refundable deposits at the time. One thing interesting that I learned. You accumulate the same points per night as your room.
  2. They usually have a listing every night. Regardless of the time listed FOD's usually congregate around the oval table near the bar. While they may have an announced time generally there is an informal gathering before both Early and Late dining time.
  3. They send out rejections at48 hours prior to Boarding time. This is due to them having to issue the final manifest to CBC at 48 hours. I once got a gratis upgrade the night before but had to use my original Boarding Pass and had to manually change my luggage tag. Somethings like the name on the TV never got fixed... showed all 4 of us in the room.
  4. If I'm not mistaken you will be disembarking on Dec 11 --- I'm on the Dec 3 and Dec 11 Solstice Sailings and we are at sea on December 12.
  5. Interesting to know. Learn something new every day.
  6. Look forward to reading about the Chef's Market Discoveries. We had it booked but they cancelled it 2 days before the tour leaving us scrambling to spend the OBC (it was an expensive tour).
  7. I use it often. I can definitely see where it would be handy with to watch Hurricane path in real time. I also like the forward looking projections when you put it into action. I use another paid app called Radar Scope - Our weather in Northern California is really different and of course only get rain for about 5 months of the year. The storms usually pass through quickly and I use it to pick between cells to go on our walks. What is good with it is you can select which radar you want to look at.
  8. I also try not to take it personal but, unfortunately even many Doctors and Medical offices have age related restrictions on both prescription meds and procedures. It bothers me when they group all over 65 or 70 as a group regardless of the person.
  9. Not really but sometimes you will see them. On recent cruises we also saw many 0 dollar charges at different bars we were never at. Either the bartender keyed in the wrong number or someone gave our room number. If they tap your card on the app you will see a transaction but doesn't show up on the final bill.
  10. Did you look at Booked - Cruise top - Check-In and Boarding Pass. When available Luggage Tags will show up here and don't need to download and print the whole document package. If not available don't worry as porter will just give you a handwritten tag at luggage drop off area.
  11. I've seen it go both up and down. I guess it depends on how many bids and if they need to get more to bid or max a bid
  12. Thanks -- Celebrity is a bit more restrictive. Their policy IMHO is pretty stupid. They do require testing from someone unvaxed but rely on people saying they are unvaxed and don't ask for proof of Vax. Then on longer 10+ day you have to take a self test and take picture -- duh.. how hard would that be to fake since the home kits don't have a serial number.
  13. Could you supply a link to source information. I checked RCL site but didn't find it.
  14. That's where I thought it was. They have another but not as spectacular on Infinity in a quiet stairwell near what once was the conservatory - I think it is Qsine now.
  15. I have used whatsapp often and works really well most of the time for voice but occasionally video is a bit choppy if bandwidth is limited. FaceTime has always worked pretty good for me - Apple to Apple. I also have good experience sending and receiving calls on iPhone with WiFi Calling enabled.
  16. They have 3 different shows and it varies by ship, duration and discretion as to how many will be done on a particular cruise. You can check out the Menu in the App on each night to see what's planned. They also post the menu outside the restaurant.
  17. I love your attitude. - -30 C is even cold in F (-22F). I guess I won't complain when it gets down to 40F in Northern California
  18. Either a good dream or you were really smoking some good stuff. LOL
  19. https://www.celebritycruises.com/captains-club/program-changes The multiplier was a recent upgrade to the Captain's Club Benefits - They are marketing it as Move-Up Bid Priority - Celebrity is terrible in messaging and updated pages if affected by new policies etc.
  20. They almost always have somethng. Sometimes reduced deposit, sometimes the shell games of raising the fare and then having a 50-75% second passenger, and sometimes additional OBC Recommend do a spreadsheet and record the current prices and promo and then recalculate with the Holiday Fare. Generally the best promotion are during the Wave Period in the spring. A possible strategy is to book now using a refundable fare (if cruise is outside of final payment period when you sail) and then have them reprice it with a Non-Refundable fare if the sale price is worth it or just reprice as a non-refundable after the sale.
  21. Understand.... Sure a 4 day is a bit better than a 3 day. I was planning on staying aboard for a 3 day in between a b2b2b and was warned by both my Travel Agent and friends from Australia -- Don't do it. Get off and spend the 3 days with them and then get back on. Covid hit so never made the decision to cancel the 3 day one.
  22. I've not done the package but my understanding is I believe you can select first night if available otherwise they assign you a different one each evening. Once on board you can make changes. This is only what I heard from guests changing their reservations at the customer service desk. I believe you can also do it at any of the specialties.
  23. I really haven't had to use Celluar at Sea in a long time. If I recall the cost is approximately 7:95 per minute Link on calling someone on the ship but they are paying the minutes https://www.celebritycruises.com/faqs/ship-contact-info It is best to Contact your phone service provider. Both ATT and Verizon have Celluar at Sea plans-- Here's a link to ATT where it is about $2.00 a minute. https://www.att.com/international/cruise-packages/ I have T-Mobile which has free Text and Data in a couple hundred countries and phone calls are .25 cents a minute which is affordable. If in port you would be better off stopping by a Starbucks or McDonald use their free wifi and make a phone over internet call. I've done it numerous times and never had a problem. When on the ship 90% of the time I've been able to even do Zoom meetings over the Premium Internet.
  24. Last Cruise I to a cloth napkin and wrapped around my hand to avoid touching. Luckily I was just having a salad but when got done found you had to grab a jug of dressing. I hate to sound like a gearmaphobe but in my years of cruising I've had Covid as well as Norovirus. I try to never touch hand railings, elevator buttons etc. and wash and sanitize often.
