  1. There are some nice quiet secluded areas on the Patio with the TV Screen. On both sides there are a couple of sofa type seats on both sides (shad or sun) after the basket ball area. Another if you want close to the bar - in back of the Mast Bar there are loungers rarely used and close to the bar. Most of the chair hogging is on the pool deck and the Aqua Spa. The deck overlooking it is less used and far forward or aft almost deserted.
  2. Yes that is what was recommended earlier. They are called a Future Cruise Certificate and you have 90 days to book a cruise. Many agents including mine give additional perks for the booking in addition to what is offered by Celebrity. If you are booked with an agent the reservation or the Future Cruise Certificate will automatically be assigned to them unless you ask to be in your name only.
  3. You can check the port schedule - I think the assignment of 45 was a fluke and all the Celebrity cruises are scheduled out of Terminal 93 for the remainder of year. I'm on the 12/3 and 12/11 cruises so had already checked it out. https://www.portsamerica.com/operations/cruise-los-angeles-terminal-schedule
  4. I tested positive back in April and never heard a word from Celebrity after being tossed off the ship. Felt like they were slapping their hands and saying good riddance.
  5. Check out the App under Bars and Lounges - Cafe al Bacio - For my cruse on Solstice they open at 6:00 AM. I just checked Beyond current cruise and says 6:30 AM re: Standard Coffee = Battery Acid. I usually bring a personal French Press and my own coffee. Just put coffee in it and fill with hot water from Ocean View and a perfect cup of coffee until al Bacio opens.
  6. I would call your agent and ask for recommendations. If you are using the same agent as the cruise you will be sailing on, the reservation will automatically be assigned to that agent. I presume that your agent has a better rate and I don't think anyone could advise if he could or would adjust your price after booking aboard. Another alternative to ask him about is the use of a Future Booking Certificate. Theoretically he could use that certificate and book under their group rate. Only you agent can advise best way instead of guessing.
  7. There are at least 6 states that have passed elimination of DST (including California where I live). It can not be implemented (now going on 3 years) until Congress approves. Senate has approved and sent to the House but the House say they have too many other high profile items that need to be worked on before end of session. Contrary to what many of us think, there are a number of states (mostly northern) that are highly oppose to elimination.
  8. Certainly not in the Retreat. My own observation both pre an post retreat I don't think there is any difference. The forward area on M and S Class was only sparsely used pre-Revloluiton and Post Revolution I have never seen more than a hand full of people sunbathing (defiantly less than 20).
  9. On M-Class they go to the Closest Bar to get all of their drink orders. I would presume that they do the same on other class ships. Possibly on E-Class they get from the Luminae Bar.
  10. Your room steward is given a list of guests that are doing B2B. I normally introduce myself to the new Room Steward the day before the end of the cruise and ask him to call me when my new room is empty (usually around 7:30 they ask all to be out of their rooms). I then move the items in the safe and my laptop to the new room. If I don't hear from them I go to new room and see if room is open. The room attendant will be close by. In 12 B2B have never had a problem. Just pack anything that is not on hangers in suit cases and you can take off. When you return everything will have been moved to your new room.
  11. Not real accurate until about a week prior to the cruise. If it is a repetitive itinerary it may be a bit more accurate as they use it as a place holder. Once on the ship I would say 95-98% accurate. On the last cruise I only found one item that wasn't on the printed menu.
  12. I would think the itinerary and the number of days will influence the number of children. Shorter cruises will have a tenancy of having an impact. I was onboard Silhouette last year for Easter but it was a TransAtlantic and there were very few children aboard. It was very festive.
  13. E-Class it's a fold out sofa bed. Upper suites RS and above get 4 accounts regardless of number of passengers in the cabin. Even 2 PAX get 4 accounts. We had a Premium Internet and was upgraded to RS and had 4 accounts also.
  14. Depending on when the booking was made many credit cards limit a "Disputed Transaction" to 3 months from date of payment. I guess the word charge back is not correct as you dispute the transaction and then the Vendor has a certain number of days to either provide proof of legitimate charge or the transaction is charged back.
  15. Thanks for another fun review. Really want to do Eden. They have really upped their game. We dined on Edge with their initial menu and while nice was more of a one and done. I really want to try their New England lobster -- looks yummy.
  16. They don't blacklist you. I can speak from experience. I disputed charges for an Upgrade that was awarded 2 days prior to the shut down. The charge back was not contested and was a lot faster than it too to get the FCC for the cancelled cruises.
  17. All of the Solstice cruises to the Mexican Rivera this season that I've followed have indicated they used local time.
  18. That is one thing I like about my TA's Booking Confirmation - He spells it out - The Celebrity Booking doesn't mention anything.
  19. Just checked an no up charge for December Solstice Was checking for Crab Cakes.
  20. Could be --- I'm in a SS on the first cruise and a CS on the second. We have only ordered breakfast from Room Service and no up charge for Eggs Benedict. I have only used the door hanger. I just checked the app and also no up charge for Crab Cakes.
  21. Was just checking using https://www.timeanddate.com/time/zone/mexico/puerto-vallarta and was surprised after DST I was checking for our December Cruise where we don't do Ensanada, was really surprised as it was different prior to DST. LA Pacific Current Time 4:15 PM Cabo San Lucas Mountain Current Time 5:15 PM Puerto Vallarta Central Current Time 6:15 PM Mazatlan Central Current Time 6:15 PM
  22. It was available in Luminae so would assume it would also be available in Blu
  23. I find it easiest to just put in Cruise Terminal Terminal 25 or 18 Fort Lauderdale and it will pop up Terminal 25 shows 2025 Eller Drive Choose any of them and just tell the driver the ship - The terminals are so close it won't affect your price.
  24. Out of curiosity I tried the Beyond Burger and ordered a regular dinner. All I can say was, I'm glad I ordered another meal. While many may love them they were not to my taste and after one bit I pushed it to the side. I was really wanting to like them. OK... in the Burger War..... While the Luminae is a better cut of beef I don't think it is as juicy and tasty as the ones grilled at the pool. Of course it's the fat content but the flavor and texture are more to my taste. As for Commercial Burgers my favorite is 5 Guys - and their fries are fantastic.
  25. Try hard closing the app. Log Out and Log back In. If that doesn't work uninstall and reinstall app. Usually fixes. That's what the IT guy did on my phone when I had a problem
