  1. Full requirements from Bermuda Government Site - https://www.gov.bm/cruise-travel-authorisation
  2. Thanks for taking the time to LIve Post. Really enjoying the post. RE: Laundry - If you are Elite (1 Bag PP) or Elite Plus (2 Bags PP) you will get one or two free bags per person. If not usually around mid cruise they will have a special at about 49.95 for a bag of up to 30 items (most report they never count and as long as you get it in the bag they will do it.
  3. Single Table Game Limit - 300 Times the wagered amount will have to fill out W2G. They don't mention how they would handle an accumulation of multiple wins under that limit. I'm sure some of the big gamblers can weigh in on it. You might check the RCL FAQ - https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/questions/casino-onboard-regulations-policy
  4. Basically don't count the cruise day and count back 2 days. eg Sunday = Friday testing.
  5. I would go for it and if a good price on a better room comes up on the same sailing you can upgrade for the difference in far with no penalty as you aren't changing or cancelling the cruise you are on. (I've recently done this going from a SS to a CS).
  6. Thanks - We have never met neither of them before but look forward to it. I've heard some really good comments about them. If you find out who the Retreat Manager is would love to know who. Many of the Retreat Hosts get promoted to this post. He will probably introduce himself as in addition to the Retreat he also manages the Butlers.
  7. While I have no knowledge of what will happen in October, the rules when we were on the Eastbound TA was that 100% of the ship had to have the authorizations or the ship could not enter Bermuda's Waters. It was a mandatory requirement of boarding. Even if you did not plan to leave the ship you had to pay the $40 pp. BTW - when we left the ship in Bermuda we were never asked for the Authorization as the ship had been 100% cleared. Some may say no one knows before October. I agree. I would bet that Bermuda won't be dropping their money making grab of about $80,000+ per ship any time soon.
  8. I think it depends on when you booked your cruise. If you booked prior to March 31, 2022 you are covered by the Cruise with Confidence which would allow you to cancel for any reason up until December 31, 2022. If you tested positive under this policy you would receive either a FCC or a Refund. If booked after March 31, 2022 the rules drop back to those prior to Covid and if cancel after final payment partial to full penalty are in effect. I have to say these are from the U.S. site and may be different if from the UK.
  9. LOL - that was also my first thought. The second is I can sure tell they are driving to the port.
  10. Here's the official Policy Non-Refundable Deposit Fare Non-Refundable Deposit (NRD) fare was introduced by the Celebrity Cruises Ltd. to provide the guests with the lowest available fare at the time of booking. When a booking made under NRD fare is cancelled prior to the deposit penalty date, the guest will receive a “Future Cruise Credit (FCC)” certificate for an amount equal to deposit paid less a deduction of USD 100 per person (service fee). FCC is issued in the name of the guest as shown in the reservation, it is non-transferable and expires after 12 months from the cancellation date. A service fee of USD 100 per person will apply for a change in Ship / Sail Date of a booking made under the NRD fare and has to be paid once the changes are confirmed. Standard Terms & Conditions applies as soon as the bookings moves into deposit penalty. When shifting your reservation to any cruise it will be repriced at the current fare and perks. This is also true when shifting to a Non-Refundable. I have always made the change when the non-refundable dropped below the price of the Refundable I had booked by more than $200. You can also receive FCC for the remainder of the deposit instead of shifting to a new cruise.
  11. You should do fine. They also have a Zero Proof Menu in Cosmopolitan but they bartenders always find me something I like and they love to make a special drink to your taste and package.
  12. Yes. They usually have O'Doules, Heineken Zero and sometime Clausthaler They also have many mocktails or just ask and they will make you a virgin just about anything. Finally they have Sutter Hill Fre Red, White, Rose and Sparkling alcohol free wine
  13. I think it depends on the the Airline and possibly the class of service. I have been able to book seats for Business Class flights I booked with FBC on United, American, ANA and Lufthansa before final payment was made. I had to use the Airline Booking Number (not FBC's Booking Number) by searching on the airline site. It didn't automatically show in my account until final payment was made.
  14. Looking forward to following along on you LIve Blog. I needed another blog to start following as @GenerationX is just about to disembark. Hope you have a wonderful cruise and a smooth embarkation. We will be sailing Summit in August and will be reading with care as it's been a couple years since we have been on Summit.
  15. I would guess you will have to pony up the $40 and get a BTA. They no longer require you to upload a Negative Test result. But their website says you must present a negative test result and a BTA prior to embarkation onto ship. When we did the opposite directing all passengers were required to have one to board and it was a mess at the Terminal. Some passengers stuck for 6-7 hours while they got theirs processed. Latest instruction - Jun 2 - You can now apply 30 days prior to embarkation https://www.gov.bm/cruise-travel-authorisation Effective 3 June 2022: Cruise Ship Passengers may begin the Travel Authorization Application 1 month prior to embarkation date, and you are encouraged to apply as soon as your embarkation date is available. 1. All passengers MUST have an approved Bermuda Travel Authorisation (TA) before arriving at the embarkation terminal. 2. All passengers MUST be vaccinated, and are required to upload their vaccine card at time of application. (For those traveling with children, complete your TA application first, then attend to your children.) 3. All passengers over the age of 2 years – MUST submit an application and pay the $40.00 fee by Mastercard or Visa. 4. Travel Authorization are reviewed and prioritized by embarkation date. 5. All passengers MUST have a negative COVID-19 test result to show at the embarkation terminal, along with their APPROVED Travel Authorization (see below for Accepted Test types).”
  16. Surprised to read. I've been into the sight all afternoon planning some excursions and no problems Have you tried a different browser or tried clearing cache
  17. @GeorgesGalLots of Cabins opened today on the August 31 New England - Almost every class except Aqua available. Must have been the date blocked bookings for TA expired. Been sold out for months. Quick Link https://www.celebritycruises.com/booking-cruise/selectRoom/stateroomCategory?pID=SM11N016&sDT=2022-08-31&sCD=SM&sCT=CO&roomQuantity=1
  18. Wow - it's like re-reading a good book. We are taking much the same cruise in September 2022 I have re-read from the beginning again and took some good notes. Especially all the Lobster Roll reviews. @Turtles06 It is as good or better of a bing read as when I originally followed along!
  19. I'm close by, my cruise in in 45 days thus also still greyed out. I don't believe you can get them directly in the App but I have pulled it up on my phone using the browser and printed direct from my iPhone.
  20. My first picture I shot early in the morning not realizing how bad my bed head was. I looked like Ann Burrell.
  21. Never seen it on any of Celebrity's ships. Sorry. You might be able to order a steamed milk and mix your own matcha into it. In the past they would not mix ingredients from guests supply into a drink for safety and sanitation reasons.
  22. While this wasn't recently (actually September of last year). I know you all remember the Southwest meltdown. We were on a cruise that as a result of that meltdown about 25% of the already lightly booked cruise missed the sailing. They were not allowing download boarding so they were out of luck. I think we set sail on an S-Class with only about 450 passengers. Most that missed the cruise were part of a Group that was holding seminars on living a happier more fulfilling life or something like that.
  23. Can definitely understand and use to (per-retirement) do the same. I think you will be pretty safe as most of the time the TransAtlantic flights are pretty good about arriving close to schedule time. The biggest problem lately is connections and under staffing of pilots.
  24. I got around to putting our pictures in yesterday so now just waiting for the luggage tags to become active. When checkin comes active it makes the cruise real.
  25. You can also change your picture at any time up until a couple days prior to the cruise. When changing it you can either upload or take one with the camera on your phone or computer.
