  1. I've been using mine for about 8 years and they are still working perfectly. They are a bit shorter than the actual tag so I just fold the top and never had a problem using them or getting my luggage. They are sturdy and I just use plain printer paper.
  2. Often when they make a change and for that fact when you have a short leg they sail and a much slower speed. Example would be from Ensanada to San Diego is a slow overnight and at times we were just sitting waiting to end the cruise.
  3. Wonderful pictures of the Blue Lagoon. Curious as to what the temperatures were like during your stop. I'm expecting cloudy and possibly drizzle but wondering how heavy we need to pack for our visit in August.
  4. My understanding is that you would not have a SS listed as an option only CS and above. The bidding is based on major categories and not by sub-category. Check it out when booking opens up. BTW I've won upgrades when nothing was available. They hold the bids until 48 hours prior to cruise and use them to fill last minute cancellations.
  5. Thanks for the great information. It should be really easy from the ship as I have both accounts already loaded with Passport etc. On one of our recent cruises on Silhouette for entry into Portugal I noticed they had Portugal and ArriveCan on the PC's in the Internet Cafe and you could use to upload even without an internet account for those without internet or smart device.
  6. Do you happen to recall who the Retreat Manager was?
  7. Agree Mark and that would not be acceptable. I was just laying out an option if he already has a test (non-proctored) and wanted to use it.
  8. I'm definitely not an expert on this but when I looked at the itinerary those that clame to be in expert may or may have not missed what may be important. Cruise 1 Originates Seattle and ends in Vancouver Cruise 2 Originates Seattle and ends in Los Angeles What I would do is contact: Emergency Travel Team they also handle down-line embarkations and disembarkations. That's who I had to contact to arrange 3 days off the ship to visit the Taj. They had to check the regulations and then after paying a fee approved our side trip. They can be reached 7 days a week, 24 hours a day at: Domestic: 1-800-256-6649 (prompt #1) or International: 305-539-4107. (unless numbers have changed).
  9. Cool Cruise 1 - Summit Aug 7 (Assuming 72 hours before Halifax so pre-cruise) CAPE LIBERTY, NJ (NY METRO) HALIFAX, NOVA SCOTIA ST. JOHN'S, NEWFOUNDLAND QAQORTOQ, GREENLAND AKUREYRI, ICELAND ISAFJORDUR, ICELAND REYKJAVIK, ICELAND Cruise 2 - Summit Summit August 19 REYKJAVIK, ICELAND ISAFJORDUR, ICELAND AKUREYRI, ICELAND QAQORTOQ, GREENLAND ST. JOHN'S, NEWFOUNDLAND HALIFAX, NOVA SCOTIA BOSTON, MASSACHUSETT Cruise 3 - Summit August 31 BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS (Assume before turn around day) BAR HARBOR, MAINE HALIFAX, NOVA SCOTIA SYDNEY, NOVA SCOTIA QUEBEC CITY, QUEBEC QUEBEC CITY, QUEBEC CHARLOTTETOWN, PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND PORTLAND, MAINE
  10. I'm sure many have different opinion but if I had to leave one of the 2 behind I would leave the GoPro. The Iphone 13 Max Pro has great, compact and easy to carry. I've given my SLR and lenses to my son as I no longer relish carrying a big bag and all the equipment along anymore. Depending on the tour you may or may not get up close to the whales or for that matter even see any. We were luck on both getting up close and personal (within 20-30 feet) and in Prince Rupert Island they were breaching along side the ship and very close to the tenders. Not a great picture but was taken with a iPhone 13 Plus Max using Telephoto and some extra zoom. I wanted the Classic tail but my timing was off. If you want to haul all your SLR equipment for the day It would probably be good choice.
  11. Could have been worse.... here's my unceremonious escort off the ship to the gang way. Then they said good residence and off I went into a packed terminal.
  12. A work around might be for the OP to use one of the monitoring services that have popped up. I saw one last week on CC from the UK. You just make an online appointment and they monitor any type of LFT not just the Abbott tests. This one is in the U.S. but don't believe it matters Virtual Proctoring | Covid Testing by Total Testing Solutions
  13. In my experience yes. But I'm a 2 Million Mile Traveler with lifetime Platinum so ma be different for other. . As for AMEX account without status I have no knowledge and hope others can give advise.
  14. Sorry you are getting so many opinionated repines. There are some members that are direct or snarky dependent on the way they are read. For the ones I find offensive there is a very nice feature on CC called ignore user. You can find it by clicking on the drop down under your name top right corner. Please keep posting as I know many member who no longer post because they are afraid of being attacked. In my opinion CC is suppose to be a safe and friendly space. I personally thank you for posting your questions as I will shortly be taking a B3B and each cruise has at least 2 stops in Canada and fall under about every scenario possible - First stop withing 72 hours of departure, outside that window and multiple stops in Canada . I've already downloaded the app and entered the basic information (I'm a per-planner type of guy) and reading to figure out when I do step 2 with the arrival information for the first leg
  15. When we were on the train the meal (Breakfast) was at the passengers expense. Havent looked at the reverse route but our tour originated in Anchorage and it was a early morning departure. They did breakfasts it in groups as the dining car couldn't fit everyone at the same time.
  16. Well got a much better deal on our flight using Chase Sapphire on American for 42,000 miles each. At least I think its good as United wanted a minimum of 100,000 pp. I'll call FBC tomorrow and cancel.
  17. I would have to agree with United on this one. FBC is acting as a consolidator and you contracted and paid Celebrity using your credit card not United. I had similar issue booking on Iberia for a code share with BA and even though my ticket said 1 bag free BA said NO...and charged $80 On the positive side I have high status with United and even when booked with Celebrity they honor my status and free baggage allowance with United. Your problem may be a good warning to others on another disadvantage of booking with FBC when you can get the same rate direct with the airlines.
  18. I'm not sure how they handle with 2 devices with different packages. I would assume you create two separate accounts - on regular and one High Speed. In a RS you get 2 devices per passenger and with that it just knows how many devices are logged on. If I log on a 3rd device it asks me if I want to knock another one off the air. If you want to use the high speed on 2 devices all you have to do is log out of one and log in on the other. My rational is that if two passengers were traveling in your room and only one upgrades the other is still the basic.
  19. We usually pick up cash for our Refundable OBC on the last day. Main reason is so I don't loose the 3X points on my Sapphire card. Sometimes with more expensive cruises we have a couple thousand dollars.
  20. Since Equinox turn around day was yesterday I made the recommendations on the assumption you had symptoms late at night just before turn around and didn't go out or have dinner etc. If you or I had symptoms earlier in the day I would have reported so I could be tested and stay in the room for meals. At least for us the only thing they did for contact tracing was asked if we were traveling with anyone. Since you are off the ship they definitely aren't interested.
  21. You also may get some good recommendations by going to your Roll Call. Many on our roll all are recommending - Newark Airport Homes2Suites Hampton Inn Embassy Suites County Inn Uber works well and runs about $30-60 depending on surge pricing. I usually compare the prices with Lyft as they can be quite different.
  22. Celebrity was never known to be good at messaging.
  23. Basically if it is the last night of the cruise it would be a waste of time as they wouldn't bother contact tracking. When we tested positive we had to isolate one day and then escorted off the ship with a team that looked like Ghost Busters. We had N95 masks on but the gangway was right into the regular terminal full of passengers.
  24. Since this is Holiday Weekend maybe they have extended their LONG weekend into a full week summer break. Sounds like a fun active cruise.
  25. It was stated a little unclear - Transportation to home or isolation or car rental, but I submitted both a taxi to Avis at Southampton Airport and and Avis rental and they covered both. Not sure if they were just being nice but on the other side our food was far less than $100 pp per day. Would be hard to eat $200 worth of food but we did have some really nice dinners. The policy prior to May 1 was totally different than what I posted above and was only outlined in a letter they gave me and no one would explain anything about it. . e.g. how many days. I only found out about 5 days coverage when I submitted my claim.
