  1. Stephen Millet started as part of the entertainment team, first saw him in 2018. He was our CD on the Quest in 2020 during our "mystery cruise" that ended due to the world shutting down. He's very good.
  2. I posted this after our b2b November 2022. Really liked the cc cabins (this one was opposite crew door so try to avoid this one). Have booked a cc for the World Cruise in 2024. Hope this helps. Ship - Onward Cabin Number - 8054 Month/Year sailed - November 2022 Would you choose this room again? - Not my first choice Is noise an issue - crew door opposite and it can be noisey Balcony Size - standard cc balcony ** Onward has terrible balcony chairs, hopefully they will be replaced. Cabin was lovely. Lots of storage, nice walk in shower. Spent 2 cruises in this cabin
  3. Agree with lisiamc and grandma cruising. Have been to South Africa twice. First time we did a land trip (planned independently not with Azamara) then boarded the Quest in Cape Town (February 2020). A week after boarding the world started closing their doors to cruise ships, so we sailed around the Indian Ocean for 11 days looking for somewhere to dock. It was one of my favourite cruises. We have sailed many times on Celebrity and Azamara, but I have to stay Azamara is my "go to" cruise line at the moment. Food, crew are the best. That personal service and care that you receive on board makes Azamara a very special cruise line. We like it so much, we're booked on the World Cruise in 2024.
  4. Very disappointing to hear, especially when we were told they were temporary.
  5. Were you on the November 12th cruise back to back to Miami? If so, you were our next door neighbour. We were in 8054 for the Nov 12th cruise moved for the TA
  6. We were in 8054 on the Onward in November. No noise from above but this cabin was opposite a crew service door. There was some noise from this area in the morning but we got used to it.
  7. Sorry to see you still have those uncomfortable balcony chairs. I wad hoping the new ones would have arrived. Azamara has a year to get them!! Lol
  8. Spent 2 cruises in this cabin our last cruise we moved to an Owner's Suite: Ship - Onward Cabin Number 7114 Month/Year sailed - November 2022 Would you choose this room again? - maybe (see comments below) Is noise an issue - No Balcony size - large suite balcony with nice table, 4 comfortable chairs and 2 comfortable loungers This suite had a tub/shower combination which I didn't care for. It had a lower glass door that wasn't easy to open so you could walk into the tub and even harder to close. Where the buttons were to turn on the water were only accessible if you were in the tub. I don't know who came up with this idea but its not a good one. There was no grab bar in the shower/tub. After speaking with Hotel Director, a grab bar was installed. I understand that the owner suite on starboard side had the big walk in shower. If you look on the Azamara deck site, it does not tell you what bathroom combination you're getting when you book. Other than the bath/shower combination, we enjoyed this suite very much, particularly the large balcony.
  9. Best of the Best was held last night on the Onward. It was held at the back of Prime C.(by the windows) A large table was set up there and it was lovely. We have been to a couple of Best of the Best dinners on Journey and I have to say this one was was my favourite. A special menu was made for me because of my food allergies.
  10. 7119 has walk in shower 7114 tub/shower combination Our cabin attendant says one suite on each floor has tub/shower, one walk in. Hope this helos
  11. I'm still trying to ask this for my future considerations. I'll post if I find out anything.
  12. Exactly. We were in an accessible continental suite on Quest. As accessible suites have lower placements of the sink and desk. Bathroom doors are wider and they have a button to open the bathroom door. The toilets arr higher with grab bars on both sides. None of those things are in this owners suite. Pocket door between the living room and bedroom is not wide enough to accommodate a wheel chair, same with bathroom door. (Possibly a walker could fit through) I have no idea what the design team was thinking with this bathroom/tub combination. Closing the walk in glass door takes some effort. Would I book this room again? If the price is right, maybe. It's a lovely suite and we do love the aft view.
  13. Deck 7 owners suite is not a handicap suite. It does have the tub/shower combination, once I learned how to open and close the lower glass door, it works well.. See my earlier posts for photos. I do prefer the walk in shower, but this tub/shower works fine. We love our suite. It's quiet, has a comfortable living room, bed and great balcony.
  14. We had owners suite on the Journey. That shower is so much better. But these suites have a guest bathroom as you enter so we have 2 toilets which we didn't have on the Journey. (Nice feature) Don't know the answer about deck 6 owner suites.
  15. No that's not our cabin. We know a couple who were in front suites last cruise and had this tub shower combination. This cruise they are in owners suite on deck 8 and have no tub just walk in shower. I cannot see on Onward deck plan where they tell you which suites have tubs. That would be helpful.
  16. With the step through door open
  17. i haven't used the bath but I will say the step through door is sometimes hard to close. (Not to mention opening for the first time) You have to really slam it so maybe it will be water tight. I have attached a photo. Hope this helps.
  18. We're still on board and I can't open your link. Internet is hit and miss on this transatlantic crossing. Question for you - did you have the tub/shower combination or a walk in shower? We're in owners suite on deck 7 and have the combination. Someone we met in deck 8 owners suite have a walk in shower.
  19. We are booked on Azamara's World Cruise 2024. We have sailed many times on Princess. Celebrity and Azamara. We really like the small ship experience. Azamara can dock in smaller ports that larger ships can't. For example Ho Chi Minh City. It docks right downtown. We are presently sailing on the Onward (their ship they are using for the World cruise) and having a wonderful time. Great food, fabulous crew, entertainment. I can't say I notice anything different from the old Azamara.
  20. Onward November 5 to 12 Captain - Gianmario Sanguineti Staff Caprain - George Mastorakus Hotel Director - Tony Markey Cruise Director - Eric De Gray Food and Beverage - Iwan Pennings Executive Chef- Shiju Sekharan Assistant Cruise Director - Roy Ryan
  21. Have you used Luggage Free before? I'm very interested in hearing about your experience with them. If you get a chance, could you post how it all went. Thank you.
  22. There are a number of benefits included with booking the World Cruise on Azamara. You can see whats included on their web site. But booking has to be done by contacting your TA or Azamara directly. It shows each segment, but not booking the entire 155 days on the website. Also if you book while you're on your November cruise, you might get some more obc. I see you're from Tasmania. We had a wonderful week in Tasmania in 2018 before we boarded the Azamara Journey in Sydney. Would love to go back to Tasmania.
  23. We were on that cruise and were booked to stay on for the next one. Some of those ports wi be covered on the Worls Cruise in 2024. Segments can be booked separately.
