I am confused. The boyfriend for 30 years lives with her but the girlfriend doesn’t. They both went back to their original status which was gold and Platinum after the cruise. I was thinking , before the pandemic. I was told by the Diamond concierge that a travelling companion is welcome to join you in the diamond lounge. So since the voucher system come in your travelling companion can join you for drinks with their own vouchers ?? I just thought someone knew a bit about it.

It seems Crown and Anchor will match a travelling companion for the cruise. My sister just did it on 3 cruises with her boyfriend and on different cruise for her girlfriend.They were bumped up to diamond for the cruise . Apparently they have have be a C&A member and be in the same cabin. They got 4 free drinks,onboard discount,their card opened the diamond lounge and even got the $5 casino Promo. But they go back to their original status after the cruise. Has anyone else had experience with this?

A couple of changes on RC . The first I have only been told by my sister , so not first hand. Crown and Anchor will match your travelling companion to your status for a cruise. She is diamond and tried to link her boyfriend ( platinum) for 30 years to her account. The LA said they don’t do that anymore but as a travelling companion she can link him for the cruise. They have to be a member of C&A and completed one cruise. plus be in the same cabin. He got a new card with diamond on it ,had 4 free drinks daily, got the discounts ,it opened the diamond lounge door and even got the $5 promo in the casino. Next cruise just a week later ,back to Platinum,they went to the LA and same thing ,only for the cruise. A couple of weeks later ,she went with her girlfriend who was gold .they went to the LA and girlfriend was bumped up to Diamond for the cruise. The second thing,apparently 1st January free chat via the app ! You can ask your kids where they are ,chat to your friends, ect

I knew someone would correct me. I have never used it they say they lose some clothes, did that happen?

They wouldn’t offer it to you mic ,they only offer it to dirty people.

It’s the silly season. From memory diamond get a discount on a bag of laundry and a pressing on formal night. Half price I think??

Every second cruise seems to be a comedy of errors on Ovation. I was on a similar cruise 6 weeks ago missed port ,at anchor and trapped onboard for 2 days, doing circles in the middle of nowhere. Not a cent ,just a `I hope you understand ‘ I would hate to have traveled from the other side of the world ,like some.

Apparently the Asia Pacific management was a onboard.

All in all , I hope you enjoyed Sydney,the best you could. I thought we may have got something for missing mystery island. Sorry to say you missed one of the best places on earth, mystery island.

I said hello in the diamond lounge,hope everything went OK for you and hubby. You probably didn’t get down to music hall but it got pretty rough and security didn’t care. One night there where drunks with kids on there shoulders dancing. Midnight,Loud music,fights, really disgusting. I fronted security and they just shrugged there shoulders,just didn’t care . I took these photos and was standing on a seat ,security cautioned me about standing on a seat.Not a place for children.ldren

The Melbourner’s are pretty pushy at those Captain corners aren’t they . Not that I have much confidence in that captain as that Irish hotel manager seems to answer all the questions. But Melbourne and Oasis won’t be happening for a while. As the Hotel manager said ,they don’t have the on shore service in Melbourne like Carnival at the moment.

Probably starting the hype for release of 2024-2025 season. When is that out March-April?

You have hit the nail on the head there’s something amiss with the whole Australian season. I was on then last cruise on Ovation to Vila, Mystery Island and Noumea. Mystery Island is the highlight and just as we go on the ship we where given a flying,Mystery Island canceled. We spent 3 nights and 2 days in Vila at anchor and most of the time we couldn’t leave the ship. Everyone was asking for a overnight in Noumea to make up for it but the ship dropped a medical emergency of in Noumea about lunch time and we went back out to sea a did circles for 18 hours then we got a short day in Noumea. Somethings wrong, constant canceled shore tours, missed ports ,very short on crew , very poor entertainment . no compensation just lame excuses .
