  1. Did one on Indy last July and enjoyed it (minus the suite). Will enjoy it even more on Utopia as long as the prices aren't too crazy (in which case I won't be there to enjoy it 😭).
  2. Yeah, deck 17 is just a big horseshoe with the entrance to CK/SL on the one side. Really not a big deal no matter where you are. I just enjoyed being inside the SL in about 10 steps.
  3. Valiant effort to scoop Ken, lol. I was a full minute behind both of you.
  4. I also prefer the stairs, just don't like waiting for crowded elevators. Normally we're somewhere on a middle deck like 9-10 so It's not that bad of a walk either up to the pool deck/Solarium/WJ or down to the Promenade. It was a madhouse after we saw the aqua show one night so I decided to walk from 6 to 17... as someone allergic to exercise, those last few flights were rough! 🤣
  5. Surprise birthday cake for MIL in CK (we just asked for a candle in her dessert)…
  6. 1722 but my BIL/SIL had 1720 & they sounded pretty similar. 🤣
  7. 100%. We’re back to our interiors now anyway, I was just sharing how fun it was to be literally SL-adjacent, If we were to ever pay for a suite, the JY’s would be perfect. Our GS on Wonder was beautiful & who doesn’t like a TV coming out of the ceiling? (Although ours needed some WD-40, it sounded like an old garage door, lol). But we really don’t care about the cabin itself so a less expensive way to get Sky Class perks is a great concept.
  8. My extended family had the 3 closest GS’s to the SL/CK on Wonder last week. Ours was the closest. We’re not normally suite people but that was great. Convenient is an understatement.
  9. Agree with the above. Giovanni's Table was always our favorite and we never wanted to try the others. Love the original filet (as well as the pasta and meat plank starter). We may or may not give the new Giovanni's a shot with a BOGO once we hit D+.
  10. No, you just got unlucky. Some elevators only go to 16, others go to 18. We pushed the button like anyone else and either got lucky or just walked the extra deck.
  11. Saw a young child trying to stay up to see a show on Wonder last week (there also may have been other factors involved) and he wore plaid PJ pants and a t-shirt to the theater. I thought it was cute. Certainly didn't make the show any better or worse... just like the food.
  12. Can't help you with the above, but if you have any interest in a specialty brunch/lunch, Mason Jar was amazing last week. Just posted lots of pics in my semi-live trip report...
  13. It was very popular last week. I wish I liked bourbon. Some very unique cocktails in there.
  14. You're not alone. Wife and I popped in each night on Indy last July and October. It was nice to be back up in a crown after mostly nothing but Oasis class for a while. Unfortunately the snacks were awful besides the cheese and crackers. Never did get around to checking out the DL on Wonder last week since we were in GS's but I really hope they had the same/similar snacks down there. I think I had 20 breaded shrimp in the SL one night. 🙈
  15. Spring 2024? 🤔 https://www.royalcaribbean.com/cruise-ships/utopia-of-the-seas
  16. What are you hoping for? Extra vouchers? A stiff pour? Sorry, couldn't help it. 😁
  17. The beauty of cruising... There's something for everyone in terms of ships, cabins, ports, lengths, food, activities, etc...
  18. He has instructions in hand. 👍 We'd actually like to do a B2B with the following 3-day (which he is also prepared to reserve).
  19. Definitely not horrible given current conditions. Just hoping the inaugural sailing combined with July isn't too inflated. We're willing to overpay a bit but there will have to be a limit. It's not THAT important to us, just seemed like a cool experience that won't come around often given our schedule and location. 🤞 I'm actually the one who wants to go on an inaugural. My wife is just down for another cruise while she's off for the summer.
  20. But I was SO MUCH CLOSER to the coffee machine, food, and bar! That was my ideal location, lol. Glad we were both happy with our locations. In reality, I think you know I wouldn't have cared where I was. I'll be perfectly happy with my deck 9 & 10 interiors for the next 2. We didn't actually notice many wanderers and the SL was incredibly quiet during the day. Multiple family members from our party were often alone at the bar getting to know our favorite bartender, Ajit.
  21. Understood, thanks. As you know, this stuff is largely foreign to me. I appreciate the education. As for the inaugural pricing, it will be what it will be. Expecting the worst and hoping for the best.
  22. @Ourusualbeach Are these test load prices usually ball park accurate or not really?
