  1. The big shows pretty much yes... not comedy b/c the venue is very small. You'd want to get in that standby line very early.
  2. Their complaint seemed to be shipwide but good to know. I've never sailed Celebrity and have no plans to, just thought I'd share.
  3. I've been following a live blog elsewhere from someone who was onboard and that was their major complaint... said it was actually difficult to get a drink between lack of roaming servers and overcrowded bars. As someone who sails almost nothing but large Royal ships, that boggled my mind. I've definitely never had trouble getting a drink.
  4. Yes, it is. After my last cruise I got it at my local Walmart. Good stuff!
  5. I don't even remember getting one. My wife says we got them and I said I didn't want it so we left it on the ship. She's probably right. I'll probably toss my D+ pin in a drawer and never see it again once I get it.
  6. No steak on Wonder in June or Allure a month ago. Hadn't seen an ELF before that so guess I missed out on the steak. Try Tobasco chipotle flavor from the sauce rack if they have it. Someone in the forum recommended it to me and it was really good on the chicken. Not spicy, nice smoky flavor.
  7. Just a small version of WJ with a few different items for breakfast/lunch. Not our thing but my family did go there once. House band was playing and were... umm... not great. Not overly crowded when we were there but also not somewhere we normally go. Embarkation/disembarkation has always run extremely smoothly at PC for me (almost always Oasis class but did Indy twice last year as well). You can see any big show standby but no reason not to make reservations, IMO. Adult comedy is the one were reservations are more important. El Loco Fresh is basic. I'd stick to making your own tacos. The pre-made quesadillas and burritos sit out and were not good (same thing on Allure last month). The guac was also terrible. That said, I can always go for a couple tacos. FWIW, someone recommended adding the tobasco chipotle flavor to me from the hot sauce rack and I loved it. Not spicy, nice smoky flavor to enhance a basic taco. I've always enjoyed Park Cafe on Oasis class. Good place for a bagel or egg sandwich in the morning (Central Park is very peaceful if you're an early riser). Kummelweck (carved roast beef), paninnis, and salads for lunch. They also have some pre-packaged grab and go items like wraps in case you want to have something in your cabin cooler for a small snack. Small dessert case in there too. Also, the flavored water is our go to free drink and that's usually where we find it. I know I'm not George but hope that helps. Loved Wonder in June and have 4 more Wonder cruises booked (mostly b/c PC is so close but it's also currently my favorite ship).
  8. Around the 1st of the month preceding the month of your cruise (but not necessarily exactly on the 1st). So you should start looking around March 1st.
  9. No perks = who cares? Screw the recognition, just give me free stuff.
  10. You're likely looking at the menus from the current sailing even though you're logged into your cruise. Menus may not be fully updated and accurate until just before your cruise. It can vary greatly.
  11. We also have a tour booked with Rony in June. We had one scheduled in 2019 but Harmony couldn't dock due to high winds so this is a do-over.
  12. Not George but here's my semi-live report from June if you're interested. This was also a 3 generation family cruise with my 13 and 9-year-old nieces as the youngest. We were huge fans of the Mason Jar brunch and booked it again for the 3 Wonder cruises we have booked between March-July while it's 40% off for Black Friday.
  13. I can only sail when school is out (with some random exceptions like the last minute deal on Allure last month b/c it was WED-MON and there was no school that Friday). My wife has a bazillion paid days off but it's a huge pain for her to miss work b/c she has to spend hours making sub plans. Teaching in Florida is awful. I also have no interest in South Florida or Icon in general and February doesn't really work for me either. Thanks though! If my wife could get back to an out of the classroom job like she had last school year we'd be a bit more flexible but budget cuts eliminated her position so she's back to just a standard Kindergarten teacher. I'm flexible but pretty tied up from NOV-FEB anyway. We're set for now given our limitations. Got the next 2 spring breaks and next summer covered. Just waiting for Summer 2025 and March 2026.
  14. Let things settle down a bit. Those new Adventure prices are definitely awful, no two ways about that. There are some reasonable Wonder deals (they were never going to be great b/c Wonder still carries a premium) but older Oasis class from South Florida are always cheaper so it depends on your point of reference. There are good prices for Wonder and good prices in general... two different scales. If you're unwilling to pay the Wonder premium, that's obviously fair, I'm certainly not telling you to pay extra just b/c I'm OK with it. Star will obviously be terrible so that's not going to help. A solo friend who posts here got a balcony on Wonder for early next month during a GGG sale with a base price of $799 (I don't know the solo math, she's over 340 pts, you can extrapolate). That's a very good price for a Wonder balcony (again, only speaking for Wonder). I'd happily pay that for an interior (my March cruises are around there once you factor in OBC from group rates, June was a bit more, July was not a good price). In any case, I guess I'm saying I don't like hearing that you're moving to PC just in time for prices you find unacceptable but don't give up all hope. I do think there will be the occasional last minute deals.
  15. No cabin is truly close enough to an elevator bank that it will create noise, IMO.
  16. I'm a big fan of "The Pitch" from Playmakers (it's a modified Long Island). We had an amazing bartender in the SL on Wonder in June. He wasn't familiar with it but when I showed him the ingredients in the app he made them for me the rest of the cruise with top shelf liquors (I didn't even ask, just watched what he was using) and they were even better than I've had in Playmakers.
  17. Congrats! You deserved something to go your way! Enjoy those perks!
  18. My wife is a teacher so nearly all of our cruises are during school breaks. Kids don't really bother us for a few reasons but mostly b/c they congregate in areas we don't frequent like the pool deck (we prefer the Solarium and it's not even to get away from kids, I just need shade and we like to chill not party). It helps that we're easy going and not bothered by much so no judgment on those who would prefer to avoid kid-heavy sailings but we have enjoyed every cruise we've taken and most have had tons of kids onboard.
  19. Diamond drinks keep you warm (both the CL coffee machine and the alcohol). 😁
  20. People will have varying opinions (and to each his/her own) but I would feel the same way. We'll be D+ after our next cruise and I'm looking forward to our new/increased perks.
  21. I didn't really mean YOU personally... I meant how do your comments help anyone else now? It was pretty rhetorical... they don't.
  22. How does that help you booking now for the future?
  23. Not sure exactly when and, as you pointed out, they may or may not show up. Yes, TA's have access to them.
  24. You cannot avoid Spring Break if you sail at any point in March.
