  1. The TAs we’ve done there were areas in the Atlantic that had spotty wifi. On the Voyager Arctic TA last September on the way back to Boston, we had a couple of days with terrible service. The only way I got any type of connection was in the promenade in one particular seat. When at sea, everyone is using wifi, and that seems to slow it down.
  2. I guess the cruises I looked at didn’t include it, glad other cruises are stopping there. We did the Hawaii TA twice, first on Legend many years ago, and in 2019 on Radiance and it was 7 days on the islands. Brilliance is our favorite ship, have a wonderful time!
  3. I see that you do still have 1 day in Kauai, which is really a beautiful island and one reason I like to visit Hawaii. I agree that royal should offer something to you all because this is a cruise to “Hawaii” and 1 stop isn’t enough. In the past we had 7 days in all the islands of Hawaii. I’m so sorry for what’s happened in Maui, it’s unbelievable and so tragic , but I understand how you feel too.
  4. I 100% agree Ken. We’ve done two Hawaii cruises on Royal in the past, and I’ve wanted to book another Hawaiian TA for the past couple of years, but Royal doesn’t stop at Kauai at all now and even the Hawaii ports are just ok….except for Lahaina. Now, there’s no way I’ll book another cruise to Hawaii in the near future. Royal should be ashamed to make this change without any compensation. I’m sorry but Seattle or Vancouver are nothing like Hawaii. Shame on Royal.
  5. I don’t have real claustrophobia, but I like fresh air and I love the sound of the ocean. For those two reasons we almost always get at least a balcony room. Yes we can see and hear the ocean from many areas on the ship, but rarely are they as quiet as our balcony. You my find that you’ll spend mornings enjoying your coffee out there, or an afternoon break from all the noise and activity to just relax and take a quick nap, or have a glass of wine before going to dinner and the evening activities.
  6. That’s happened to us more than once. One time we had never even checked out any towels.
  7. I could absolutely live on a ship I love the ocean, I wouldn’t have to cook or clean, I could still eat a healthy diet, I could still exercise, would have much more entertainment than I get at home….. what’s not to love about that 😁
  8. Yes…. Spellcheck must have changed the name I typed. 😁
  9. Same thing happened at Disney….they hired a new guy and he was all about money, and was so bad that he got fired and Bob Igor had to come back from retirement to fix the mess.
  10. On B2B, do you mean we can book a reservation for the 2nd cruise using that cruises upcoming BOGOs while we’re still on the first cruise after we used those BOGOs? If so, I never knew that.
  11. He’s so close to 21 and frankly, I don’t think the servers would ask him for ID if they even noticed he’s having a drink, especially if she gives them a tip
  12. Thanks, that’s what I plan to do now…..we’ll probably also use our D+ BOGOs for lunches on days that we don’t like the MDR menus and skip dinner
  13. It’s a TA and I didn’t think about booking until it was too late and all the open slots were taken. I’ll be on the ship as this is the 2nd cruise on my B2B, so maybe on the first cruise I’ll see if I can book. I was able to get a reservation during the 1st cruise though.
  14. If the reservations online are full for booking dinner in the Solarium Bistro for the whole cruise, will we still be able to eat there? And if so do we need to make reservations? I assume the Diamond concierge can do it?
  15. I also am interested in Norway in 2025 and would love it on Brilliance! How do we get more info?
  16. How do you know they’re not included in the tip pool? Im curious what would be the reason since not everyone tips at the end of the cruise. What would be their incentive to want to be a suite concierge? Are they paid a higher salary? That would make sense then……
  17. The way I remember reading it is you have to use 1 drink voucher to get 40.00 of any bottle under 100. I don’t know if this is only once a day per guest or not. We each get 5 drinks a day, and bottles of wine in the room for amenities, so we haven’t don’t this yet. Sounds like a good deal though.
