  1. We’re going to be on it for a fairly long B2B later this year and DH uses a CPAP. We know they supply water and extension cord, but were wondering if since this is a fairly new ship, if there’s an outlet either next to or behind the bed. It would just be nice for this extended trip to not have a cord draped around with hooks (which he said he won’t do) or on the floor being a tripping hazard, which is what we usually have. We’ve been on it before but never noticed (or don’t remember) if there’s an outlet nearby. thanks.
  2. We like when cruises start or end in places that we can have a week or two to explore the areas that we haven’t seen yet.
  3. I meant they’re building an adult area….that’s what I read somewhere maybe? I could see construction last time we were there.
  4. We’re getting on in Venice (Ravenna) and getting off in Barcelona and how do you do that without a quote?
  5. Funny, my DH is still an IT guy but I’m the phone, computer, anything electronic guru. He is s a software guy, I know how to do anything on any Apple device because I love to play around and figure things out.
  6. While I love CC and the Suite Beach in Labadee, we also really loved the Adult only area on Disneys Castaway Cay. The buffet there was way better than the family area. I think Royal is adding one to CC too?
  7. I use the app all the time for everything, but still like to see the printed copy. Does Royal think those over 70 don’t know how to use a phone?
  8. I haven’t read all the posts here but I wanted to comment on something our cabin attendant told us on our last cruise and wanted to see if anyone on this thread else ever heard of this. I asked for a paper copy of the compass even though I use the app too, and was told by him that they are all instructed that anyone 70 and older they should automatically put them in the cabins. Now I’m not 70 so I wasn’t sure if I should be insulted or not. He said he has a list and showed me briefly without showing the names. Has anyone else ever heard of this?? edit to add that he said he was already planning on putting one in our cabin!
  9. We got them without asking….if not I would have asked…oddly the ones I got were the same but in white containers.
  10. In those cases I’ve had ours PLUS other cards. I just bring them to GS and let them handle it
  11. Same…. Mostly just on a lounger, under an umbrella, toes in the sand on CC
  12. Since the restart more than once we’ve had someone else’s cards outside our stateroom door 😳
  13. Not sure about others, but I love to cruise because along with the vacation pluses such as I don’t have to cook or clean… I LOVE THE OCEAN. I grew up living near the Atlantic and we were at the beach as much as we could be. When on a ship, you won’t find me by the pool, I’ll be on my balcony listening to and watching the waves. The ocean is so powerful and beautiful, and it makes its own music. When we cruise I’m NOT happy when one of our stops ISN’T CC or Labadee, where you’ll find me with my toes in the sand. But of course I also love the fact that I can see the other parts of the world from my traveling hotel on the water too 😉
  14. I’ll admit I haven’t read all the comments on this thread yet. To the OP, I think you received your answer to the when to tip question on a B2B. 1. Regarding Pins and the “pin”, we know or have met Pins and were told that they were asked to wear them I think they said by Royal, as a form of advertisement. So people may ask questions to them, in the hopes that they will also want to reach that status. 2. We have friends that used their D+ status to complain in such ways, that WE felt we needed to apologize to the LA or MDR servers on the aside because of their behavior. But they have also had that same behavior outside of ships in everyday life. So we have made the choice to no longer travel or socialize with them. Entitled behavior - like a virus - goes well beyond cruise ships, and takes many forms.
  15. maybe I’m optimistic but I think that if they can figure out how to do that, they’re not dopes.
  16. When I board each ship my first drink is the Lavender Daiquiri. I usually would never like a foo foo drink, but for some reason I like this drink.
  17. I’m not a booze drinker, I usually have wine, but I agree with you on this drink….
  18. Each night in the MDR there’s a Vegan “dinner” on the menu, an appetizer, an entree and a dessert. There’s nothing labeled “Vegetarian”. There are entrees that are vegetarian on the menu if you just take off the meat though. I’m not either, but eat mostly vegetarian. I don’t mind vegan, but I’m Just not fond of the choices on the menu most nights. The soups have been good though. I don’t eat dessert, so I can’t comment on that.
  19. We’re not up in arms, we actually like it better having it done only once in the evening. And we still tip same as we did when it was once a day.
  20. On our last cruise our cabin attendant asked if we wanted service morning or evening . We picked evening and he thanked us because so many of his 25 cabins wanted mornings. After we got ready for drinks before dinner we just put the out catching thrills on the door. I agree that they are overwhelmed, we hardly ever saw ours, and even though I asked for NO towel animals, he did anyway. I felt bad, he was so busy. He got a good tip from us!
  21. are you saying there was a bar set up in the DL on Jewel? On one cruise on Brilliance years ago they had a bar setup in the DL, it was so much quicker to get a drink, of course it was only the unlimited HH drinks back then. I wouldn’t bet on it. It’s so bad up there the crew put towels down on all loungers every day we were up there. No one would sit on the seats. Such a shame they’re ruined.
