  1. some tiny boat captain in a more or less impoverished Caribbean nation who ferries people to an island or a sandbar for $50 can hardly guarantee that.
  2. perhaps, it would be better to title this thread "Princess was forced to leave Princess Tour passengers behind" instead of a more scandalous sounding "Princess Tour Passengers left behind"
  3. we don't care either way. We travel with a child who doesn't care for kid's club.
  4. I disagree. Both of our ABC cruises next year are during school breaks - Spring break and Thanksgiving break. There will be lots of kids on both.
  5. we are trying both next year. 🙂 Yes, Celebrity will be a bit more upscale, but also more laid back and "older". P.S. We'll be in an inside cabin on Reflection and I'll write a review after the cruise. We are not upscale and we do not dress up for MDR (but no shorts either).
  6. It took 8 weeks this summer, and 2 weeks ago at the passport agency they had a November 2023 dated announcement from the Dept of State that the average wait right now is 10-13 weeks (unexpedited).
  7. send the application in after the Feb cruise. We have just had to do this . Kid's passport expires in January 2024, we sailed on Thanksgiving 2023, and upon return we filed for his new passport. We also had to send his old passport in.
  8. when we boarded, there were no washcloths in our Fantastica balcony. However, I got a few off of the cart in the hallway, and after that our cabin attendant provided fresh ones every day.
  9. yes. We were scheduled to board at 2:30, showed up at 11 and were allowed to check in right away.
  10. by the time we sailed on Seascape in November 2023, its Casino was non-smoking. It was glorious. We do not use the casino for gambling, but we found that deck to be very convenient for crossing over from aft to forward and back, and their bar to be well equipped.
  11. yeah, it was a mess on Seascape. So many people at the same time, and elevator use isn't allowed. Kinda gives you an idea of what's to come if it's a real thing.
  12. we always made reservations in MDR ahead of the cruise, and never had a problem with any long waits on RCI ships. Also, NCL's food was atrocious. RCI's food was good.
  13. wow, poor butler. We were on Seascape 2 weeks ago and didn't witness this behavior. These would have been our preferred row if we had been in YC. We weren't, but we sat as close as possible to these premium rows. They were released to general public right at the start of the show. see, this would have been our most desirable location. 🙂
  14. it is true, and it's the reason I made a cash deposit when we boarded Seascape 2 weeks ago, instead of registering and using a credit card to settle the account.
  15. the only time DH wore a tux and I wore a little black dress was our very first cruise. We thought it was required. 🙂 LOL. We had to rent the tux. Over the years I've seen fewer and fewer people dressing up formally.
  16. it wouldn't have been for us, if we didn't book the rate with "drinks and wifi included" at a very reasonable price.
  17. I definitely can't do it online, but when I do make a reservation for 2,3,5,etc. people, I have to make a payment. Why and how would I pay for 6?
  18. thank you, we looked at the menu, and unfortunately, it's definitely a no go for him. 🙂 It's fine. He loves pasta, so Sabatini is the way to go. He already picked out what he wants from their menu.
  19. I've just remembered what I didn't like about the balcony - a very short back on balcony chairs. No head support at all, so you cannot doze off on the balcony: RCI Allure chairs were just a little taller: I liked tall Princess chairs (despite their very small balcony size):
  20. I was wrong about "across the board" part. Some ships have different classics menu:
