We found Keukenhof a lot more interesting than the Floriade, however OP has been to the gardens so might appreciate the Floriade more this time as it only happens every ten years.

I agree with everything that has been said.  London is wonderful.  We will be there again in October 2022.  I would even add another day, leaving some time for Southampton as well.

If that was the Silhouette, we were on board with you.  They had to tie the furniture down on the balconies and told us not to go out there.  Thank goodness we are not bothered by motion sickness.

How lovely that the people were all rescued.  Hope they find peace in their new homeland.

We were n 1140 on Summit and I found the noise from the movie really loud one day.  Went up there and no one was watching.  I think if you call Guest services they could remedy it if this happens.  I would book this cabin again for the huge balcony.

Remember when you have sailed Celebrity before and are a Captains Club member you can get the price for an AQ2 cabin but you have to ask when you book.  This might save you around $100.  Happy cruising.

Oh my goodness, you got to play the harp?  I didn't want to say it in my post, but I play the harp and it is the most difficult thing I have ever attempted in my life.  I didn't take it up till I was 45 and I think it is an instrument you need to start learning when you're 5!!  I now have arthritis in my fingers and I haven't played it much in the past year.  I want to get back to it as it is too beautiful an instrument to sit there quietly gathering dust.  I supplied the harpist on Celebrity with a bunch of music she didn't have.

What would I do?  Sorry I have to say this, but I wouldn't go on either without my husband as I don't think I would enjoy it with him at home.  DH travelled extensively when he worked and now that he is retired we are joined at the hip!  I would save the money and book the retreat when you can both enjoy it.

If you cannot cancel at this point, then just the one cruise.  I could be wrong but I thought the cruise had to be a minimum of 7 days to qualify for the $50 B2B discount.  

Whatever you decide, I hope you're happy with your decision.

I didn't expect to receive the survey since I have yet to sail with Azamara.  I am sure that as they separate from the giant organisation I will lose my Discoverer Plus designation.  We have 4 cruises booked but the first is not till July. 

I hate canned music too. I would have been all over the harp and wish they had kept it.  Celebrity got rid of it too.

Interesting posts.  DH got his booster shot 2 weeks ago.  We both got Pfizer for the first 2 shots but he was advised to have Moderna for the booster.  He had basically no effects from the Pfizer and worried his weakened immune system was not making antibodies.  Well, no worries with Moderna!  He was quite sick with a fever of 101 and general malaise.  So he is very happy his body noticed this one!  We are a bit behind here in BC.  Only immuno suppressed people and those in long term care are getting the booster at the moment.  The rest of us have to wait.

Bruin Steve, I think your experience was horrible and not amply compensated.  You should have had your money returned for a service not provided and the $250 voucher added as an apology.  I would have been frothing at the mouth.  Good service has disappeared everywhere.

We used to fly Canadian Airlines a lot and I had accumulated 92,000 miles with them when they were bought by AC.  I wasn't told that with AC, airline miles expire and that is exactly what happened and I lost my miles.  When I phoned up to complain, I was told "sorry they're gone, but you can always fly with us and accumulate more!"  What a cheeky uncaring response!  Even though I have a close relative who is a pilot for AC, I will walk before I fly with them.  There are lots of other airlines that fly out of Vancouver.

I'm so happy to read that you enjoyed Norway so much.   We were on Eclipse, Buenos Aires to Vancouver when COVID intervened at San Antonio so we sailed on to San Diego without getting off the ship (17 days).  I liked parts of what we saw of South America especially Iguazu Falls but would not consider going back.  We are booked on the Quest for a Norway intensive in July and we are really looking forward to it.  We have only been to Oslo.  Our cruise starts in Dublin and ends in Amsterdam.

JB, as usual, gives wonderful advice.  We have been to Southampton several times and we have really enjoyed Osborne House and the ferry ride to the Isle of Wight.  We also enjoyed the Titanic museum.  Other times we took and train to Winchester and enjoyed the cathedral.  Portsmouth is interesting also where you can see the Victory and Mary Rose.  I could stay in Southampton for several days and not be bored!

I take it you haven't yet booked this cruise.  We are also very interested in Norway having only been to Oslo.  We are booked on Azamara Quest July 25 and really looking forward to it.  We were previously booked on Celebrity Silhouette for Aug 26 this year but it cancelled and it was a fabulous itinerary.  Norway is very expensive, so it's good to visit it on a cruise ship.  I hope you find something that suits you.

I think your chances of getting smoother seas in Nov on the southern route which you are doing are better than a northern route.  As people have already said, it is the ocean and it can be variable.  You didn't ask about cabin selection but if you are prone to motion sickness I would chose a cabin in the centre of the ship on a lower deck (6 or 7).  Also, I would choose the port side to get more sun.  Happy sailing.  TA's are great.

We have enjoyed 1A on the slant too.  just want to remind you that if you choose 1A, you can get it for the cost of 1B which will save you a few dollars.  You have to ask when you book.  You can also get B2B discount of $100 for a leg that is 10 days or more and $50 for less than 10.  You also have to ask for this when booking.  HTH.

Is your deposit refundable?  If so, I would cancel and rebook.  If not, keep your eye on the fares every day.  Sometimes they drop and you can certainly call and get the saving.  Good luck with your decision.

I'm happy for all those who had mixed vaccines.  We got both doses of Pfizer and DH got a booster of Moderna.  We were told Moderna was a better choice than a third of Pfizer.

Very disappointed with the Canadian regulations now that the US has opened the land border.  Most of us spend a few hours down there to shop and collect mail.  If we have to have a PCR to return home, this effectively keeps the border closed for day trippers.
