  1. You have to pack your personal things, toiletries etc and just leave them in the room in your suitcases.  All your hanging garments will be transferred to a bellman's cart by your steward and delivered to the new room.  The process of getting a new seapass card differs from cruise to cruise it seems.  Sometimes everyone goes to a room where they get their new cards and sometimes they are delivered to the previous room.  i think we had to get off the ship once and then back on. If that happens, they see to it that you don't have to line up with the new boarding people.  Once, we were given a lunch as well.

You probably know that you get a B2B discount for each leg.  If they are 7 day cruises, you will get $50 for each cruise off your fare.  It's lovely not having to get off the first cruise because you are sailing for another one.  Enjoy.

Joan beat me to it!  We use those cubes also and just transfer them from our case to the drawers.  Easy peasy.

  2. Baynanno thank you so much for starting this thread.  I have been so persecuted by this inability to post a response that I have thought of quitting Cruise Critic completely.  But I am addicted to it so that is not possible.  I also have to log in EVERY time I leave this site.  Why do people have to fix what isn't broken?  The site was fine up to several days ago now it's a disaster.

Could you share what number you used?

I reached out yesterday on the number listed on the Best Price Guarantee page and was on hold for over 1.5 hours and the rep that picked up said that he couldn't do anything but would transfer me to someone who could.  He transferred me to Royal Caribbean who was really confused.  She transferred me back to Celebrity.  After about a total of 3+ hours I got a rep that said she would assist...she could not and transferred me again but stayed with me checking with me about even 4-5 minutes until she got through to a rep.  The final person I spoke with supposedly filed the paperwork and told me that I should see an OBC but that it would take up to 14 days.  Just would like to be able to verify that something is in process.

The number I called on the cell was 1-800-556-8209  (customer service) 20 min wait.

The number where I held forever was 1-844-418-6824 (Captains Club)

i got my new invoice reflecting the new lower price while I was still on the phone.  However, I have to phone back as they dropped the OBC I had from the first booking.  I hope it's a mistake.  I will call to have this rectified after the sale is over!

So sorry you had such a run around.  They need to change their recording saying it might be a 30 min wait!!

Our X PVP mentioned the same issue regarding the cabin we initially chose when we booked an AQ on the Constellation the other day. He subsequently moved us a few cabins more forward to hopefully avoid the noise.

The 5 aft cabins on deck 11 have very big balconies but they go fast.  We enjoy 1140, 1138 or 1130.  The other two are just above the smoking area of the bar below so we don't choose them.  We also love Blu.  Plus there's the extra 2 points/day that you get in AQ class vs a regular balcony.

How can they assume everyone has sailed multiple cruise lines? How could I reasonably have an opinion about lines I've not sailed? Having only sailed on Celebrity, I would have had to list Celebrity only. That wouldn't have told them much😉

I think you should have put down Celebrity three times.  You know, like location, location, location for real estate.  Then they would have seen how you love Celebrity and how loyal you are to them.  maybe you might have gotten an upgrade from them in a future cruise for your answer instead of one point!!😄

  6. The advice about changing cabins making it not a true B2B is hogwash.  We have had to change cabins many times and it has always been regarded as a B2B.  I don't know the length of your cruises but you should get a B2B discount for both of them provided they are both 7 days or more.  7 days gets $50 and 14 days gets $100.  This should come off your initial price.  I just did this yesterday with a new booking added to one made last April.

  7. I held for nearly 2 hours today and decided something must be wrong.  Got fed up with them thanking me for my patience.  I phoned another number on the cell and got through in about 20 minutes.  Jennifer helped me save $486 on a cruise booked last April.   This took a fair while.   I hope I get the double points also but I'm not sure since it was not a new booking today.   I also made it into a B2B and the price today on the added cruise was definitely 20% lower than earlier this week.  Meanwhile I was still being thanked for my patience..............

Happy for all those who did even better than I did.  And yes, I got the email this AM re the sale.

Is the helipad area ever open to commoners or is it VIP only?

In know it is accessible on some of the RC ships.

Yes it is open to commoners by invitation as has been said.  We have been invited 3 times.  Ironically the only time we have been in a suite we did not receive an invitation and learned later our invitation went to the cabin we had upgraded from.  it is a very special time.

  9. Ours are 66 days apart (both Pfizer).  We don't cruise till July but it will be out of Dublin.  We're hoping to get a third dose before then.  I, too, wish everyone would get on the same page.  I feel very sorry for those who were advised to get whatever was being handed out as it was better to have the shot than not.  Then they were given AZ and a different second shot.
