  1. We are experiencing a heat wave here in BC that is breaking all sorts of previous records.  Yesterday Lytton BC was a record 46.6C (116F).  The raspberry crop is a disaster as the fruit is cooking on the vines and the growers can't get anybody to help pick either.  So thankful for A/C here at home but many do not have it.

  2. I would not pick 6108 as I think the privacy on your balcony would be impaired by the CS next door and it is smaller too.  These 4 cabins are only one deck above the life boats.  I would go for one of the sweet 16's, I think as the balconies are larger but maybe you don't want to be that far forward?  When you originally booked did you get the one category upgrade?

Do any Celebrity ships have forward facing cabins with verandas?

The 4 FV cabins deck 7 and 8 on S class have a balcony on the side.  I think I read that these cabins have been redesignated as suites.

Just a follow up to my previous post about missing the June 5th cruise out of St Maarten. After many emails to my TA about the situation. Celebrity DID COME THROUGH with FCC and a refund on the Celebrity Air for the cruise.

I don't know for sure if it was my TA's persistence for the "We are behind you guarantee" but I'm glad to not be out all the money we had spent on this cruise.

So we are looking forward to our next cruise with Celebrity and we will be going the day before just in case. lol

Thank you for getting back with the good results.  I hope you enjoy your upcoming cruise.

We always fly in ahead of the cruise.  Quite apart from knowing that you will definitely be on the cruise, there is a great feeling of anticipation as you enjoy the port city the night before.

  5. We have accessed it for free by booking Aqua class, so I could be wrong about the charges.

Cruisers staying in Aqua Class staterooms automatically receive access to the Persian Garden. Other passengers may purchase a Persian Garden pass at the spa, starting at a cost of $25 per day. Extended use passes are also available at a cost of $50 for three days and $75 for six days.

Yes and we gladly and promptly declined the invitation given to us by the Captains Club Host.

Can t think why it would be so interesting to dine with officers for whom it is a command performance and possibly part of their job description to try to entertain us. Don t they have the show cast and animation team for that purpose ? And we don t need it to brag about either.
    😫

Wow, I consider myself well and truly smacked by such a sagacious poster.  Sorry, it's too late to remove my post.  But to earn my designation as a bragger, I have to say I was seated next to the Captain and found him a very gracious host who definitely was not wishing he were somewhere else.

  7. We, too, looked upon it as a honour not a perk.  We were invited by the CC Hostess.

    Quoted from bruin Steve's post,

They had a reserved large table centered in the MDR solely for this purpose.  They made a big deal of marching us in down the MDR staircase after everyone else was seated...and took a table photograph from the upper level.

This was how it was and we felt very special.  I don't think they d this any longer but we did see a table reserved in Blu one night, a few years ago and sure enough, a party with one of the ship's officers eventually came and occupied it.

The photograph was a nice touch also.

  8. Interesting, Rabo.  We had only started cruising in 95 and didn't even know anything like this existed.  I think I found out about it on Flyer Talk in 2005.
