Thank you for posting your impressions.  So nice to read one that is not in a suite.  We also like AQ class.  So sorry for your rainy trip down.  I watched you leave and wondered about the late departure, then saw the two cargo ships inching slowly along, making you even later.  Bon Voyage.

There are often interesting lectures too.  you will love putting your watch back an hour 4 times.  As others have said, it is very relaxing not having to be ready for a tour just about every day.  Enjoy.

I feel it should be obvious if a crew member deserves a 10.  They should not have to ask.  That always turns us off.  We have made a practise for years of going to Guest Relations to ask for an "Attention to Detail" card when a crew member has done an excellent job.  We don't need to be told to give a 10.

How sad.  I feel terrible for the people involved.  Holidays are not supposed to end like that.  This will affect those on the ship as well.

Thanks Anne, I'm really looking forward to this since we don't feel we can cruise at this time.  So, we cruise vicariously through the goodness of people like you.

At least you're getting a cruise.  Our 2 lovely cruises on Silhouette Aug 26, Norwegian Fjords and the B2B Sept 4 to Iceland got cancelled long ago to use the ship for cruises around the UK for UK people only.  Enjoy.

I'm glad you enjoyed your Celebrity cruise and took the time to give us your impressions. 

DH always says the thing he likes best about cruising is the people he meets and the thing he likes least is the people he meets.  Sorry you had to meet the jerks.

I would like to encourage you to sail with Celebrity again in a balcony cabin.  Since you now are in Classic tier you can get a one category upgrade in most categories at time of booking.  That means you could book the lowest balcony category, 2D on Solstice class and upgrade to 2C etc.

We have never sailed with Captain Kate.  I would love the opportunity to meet her.  I am in awe of any woman who can do a competent job of something I would never even try.

So sorry to read negative reviews on Lawn Club Grill.  We have eaten there 4 times (Silhouette) and every time it was outstanding.  The last time it was cold and they offered us another dinner gratis.  I hope it has not declined as it's a few years since we have sailed on Silhouette.

We visited Stockholm as a port of call and were advised to get up about 4:30AM for the sail in.  This was great advice.  It was simply magical.  We also liked the sail out but we found it not as spectacular as the morning one.

Thank you for posting and giving your thoughts about boarding.  I would love to be lining up to get on a cruise ship right now but it is not in the cards for us at the moment.  Hopefully this time next year we will be starting to pack for our first cruise since the Eclipse cruise to nowhere, Mar 2020.

I'm wondering if the long lines were due to people not coming at the specified time, more screening needed than before COVID and new hires.

I think if you don't ask your attendant for the sparkling wine you don't get it.  So many have the bev. pkg now, they don't seem to want it.
