  1. Good to know. Mind sharing your observations on 2 issues related to the recent changes and her response?
  2. Mind sharing what brand as I'm in the market for noise cancelling/lessening ear plugs.
  3. Thanks for the balanced review. Good to hear as we're on Beyond next April.
  4. We will be cruising on Brillance of the Seas out of New Orleans and as this will be our first time would appreciate any thoughts on your experience, how has the ambience been, party ship, more adult crowd, condition of the ship, and anything else you care to share. We have cruised Radiance class before but never out of New Orleans. Look forward to thoughts.
  5. What is the "More to come as it just gets worst"? Inquiring soon to be Connie cruisers would like to know!
  6. We have not received the survey. If we do, adults only! One of the reasons we book X is the ambience and experience. If we wanted it a different way, we'd have stayed with RC or go to a similar line.
  7. As others, yes, thanks and look forward to hearing more about your experiences.
  8. Good to hear about some recent good experiences on Connie. We are counting down the days to our Dec cruise on her for the first time. Look forward to hearing more recent experiences.
  9. I don't recall reading anything terrible? Which itinerary?
  10. It was a B2B so while in port they will sometimes restock, and, in some cases, they have stock stored.
  11. That's a good suggestion for all as I don't recall being aware of that but will certainly keep it in mind. I will say on our Edge B2B TA my wife filled out the first leg survey noting the lack of choices in the ships store (clothing) and the entire staff, to include management, fell all over her to try and rectify any issues. Our dedicated Butler and the Retreat Concierges even knew about it and followed up.
  12. So glad to hear that Luminae is living up to expectations and to what we have experienced over the years. With some of the issues X seems to being have as of late, your experiences are encouraging! Looking forward to hearing/seeing more of your journey.
  13. In agreement with others, suggest going directly to the Hotel Director as soon as you are able. He must be made aware of the issue and the lack of response to fix the problem. You need a fairly substantial compensation for your trouble and their rude treatment across the board from plumbers to Guest Services. Please do keep us informed as those of us booked on Eclipse for future cruises I'm sure are interested in how they address this. This is not the X that we have experienced before, not even close.
  14. Lived in Tampa for a number of years off and on but never cruised from there (my pre-cruise days) so good to know as we are on a Dec cruise from there. Have cruised out of Galveston many times and only one that I remember where fog caused a problem for some folks.
  15. Thanks for the feedback. Though not revolutionized, stateroom still in good shape? No excessive sings of wear and tear?
  16. Our recent experience and we have friends currently on Reflection and Michael's Club remains just for Retreat guests.
  17. The link takes you to a page for letting them know your preferences but is it a check the box listing and not free text. When you click on Butler, it takes you to a marketing page that we know by those on CC who have experienced the Retreat Butler that it is not what it's marketed as Ways Our Retreat Butler and Retreat Host Enhance Your Cruise Vacation | Celebrity Cruises
  18. Agree, we have been in a SS on Apex and Edge and love the suite size, bathroom with the shower, big sink, and the window that looks out to the balcony/sea/port, and the balcony. The downside, no fan of the furniture inside or the balcony, practically useless mostly the tables. Take the not so good with the very good for us.
  19. Am following along, as well. Looks like it will be a great cruise and one that we may consider as we've not done the Mexican Rivera. Also, interested in all aspect of your experience to include how you fins the condition of the Eclipse as we are on her next Sept for NE/Canada RT from Boston.
  20. Have never seen them just hand a bottle of warm Champagne to a passenger for any type of dining occasion, special or otherwise. Totally unacceptable and that server needs to be re-trained as soon as possible. Surely this can't be the level of service that X considers to be the norm now (may be a rhetorical question)?
  21. I'm with you on the biscuits and gravy. Have not had them, especially when I saw what they looked like when one of our sail mates on Edge in April ordered it one morning!
  22. Like others been following and thanks for your usual excellent feedback and photos, Charla. So disappointed to hear of your SS experience, so far. Does not bode well for our upcoming Connie, Beyond and Eclipse! But, certainly hoping it gets better for you and Jeremy. Look forward to hearing and seeing more!
  23. Retreat suites still available on Connie Dec 10 (not sure how many). Non-suites are sold out.
  24. Thanks for the information. Glad it was a first world facility and staff! Good you have trip insurance. We always do and, luckily, have not had to use it. Gives us piece of mind which is worth the money to me. So, out of pocket and insurance reimburses?
