  1. If you really want good wine at a reasonable price bring it with you. The wine by the glass is OK, usually not good, and wine by the bottle is typically overpriced.
  2. Not sure of the issue if you have 2 sea days why aren't you within the window allowed by Bermuda? You are within the 4 day window.
  3. At this point maybe the home WOW, maybe the home tests Celebrity and Royal sells is a better option.
  4. Not really. The walk is not that easy and getting in and out looks difficult. We were there on our last trip to Bermuda and I forgot my water shoes and did not want to give it a try in bare feet. For those in good shape it is probably worth the effort. I think there used to be a tour group that included it as one of their stops.
  5. Interesting, here in NJ, YESTERDAY I was able to look 1 week out to schedule a rapid NAAT test, now only 3 days out.
  6. I was wondering how much they charge in the minute clinic if you see a medical provider?
  7. Did find 2 places on Celebrity site that lists NAAT. Accepted COVID-19 Tests | Celebrity Cruises Health & Safety FAQs: Find Answers Online | Celebrity Cruises
  8. A NAAT test could be a PCR test. Depends on the lab. It is all very confusing. The problem with the PCR tests is they can take several days to get results. Too risky for pre-cruise testing.
  9. Most of the CVSs in my area stopped doing the rapid antigen test. However, I did find one 40 minutes away.
  10. You should double check the ports of call about Certificate of Recovery. While Celebrity may be OK, not all countries are and as Celebrity says on their website YOU are responsible for meeting country specific requirements.
  11. I have a cruise booked on Summit in a couple of weeks. If I test positive I will just take the money and not book any new cruises for a while. I agree the best way to deal with a continually changing situation is to just wait until shortly before a potential cruise (maybe a month) and then book. Just way too many unknowns: constantly changing itineraries (we will now be tendering in Bermuda), quality of service, changing travel requirements, etc.
  12. On an upcoming cruise it looks like the itinerary will be Bermuda, Charleston and then back to NJ. So my question is will we have to go through customs in Charleston? What does that mean, will we have to take our luggage off the ship? Will we have to go through customs again after we dock in NJ? Do they shut down on-board duty free liquor after we dock in Charleston?
  13. Our itinerary changed and we now dock on Saturday at 10AM. Thinking of going into Hamilton. Is it worth the trip on a Saturday?
  14. Please keep us posted if you don't mind. I currently have COVID and am not sure if it will clear before our June 2 cruise so I may have to go through the same process.
  15. Celebrity screwed things up and I expect that our cruise itinerary will change and that we (Celebrity Summit) will be tendered when 2 other 3000 PAX ships are docked. How bad will the port be congested (eg, buses, ferries, etc.)? Should gave just booked an Oceania cruise and docked in Hamilton and St. George's.
  16. It looks like Celebrity has been rearranging itineraries so Bermuda is the first stop. Which means that since the slots are already full at the port this will be a tendering stop in Bermuda. It also seems that Celebrity isn't telling passengers until JUST before sailing to that people don't have a chance to cancel and rebook. Very poor on Celebrity's part. They have know about this for months and are waiting until the last minute to tell people. I no longer think of Celebrity as a reputable cruise company.
  17. Problem is if the cruise gets cancelled you are stuck with the airfare.
  18. I think they only did that on one cruise. The problem is that on some of the cruises the port in Bermuda is full and no room for X. They would have to tender, if allowed.
  19. Just got an email from Celebrity about my upcoming trip to Bermuda. Finally, a communication from Celebrity stating the need to apply for the Bermuda Travel Authorization prior to travel. NOT sure what took Celebrity sooo long. END OF VENTING. The one thing that caught my eye is the cost of on-board COVID testing. According to Celebrity: "Unvaccinated and/or Fully Vaccinated guests** who are not Up to Date* will need to cover any required costs for embarkation, mid-cruise/port of call or debark/re-entry required testing. These tests cost $42 per test, per person." ALSO: "**Definition of Fully Vaccinated: vaccinated with a full dose of a two-dose primary series vaccine (such as Pfizer or Moderna) more than 6 months prior to sailing, or more than 3 months of a one-dose vaccine (such as Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine) and NOT boosted." PLUS "*Definition of Up to Date: vaccinated within 6 months of final dose in a primary 2-dose vaccine series (such as Pfizer or Moderna) or within 3 months of a one-dose vaccine (such as Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine) OR at least one booster shot." The way I read their definitions is if I got my last shot MORE than 6 months prior to departure I have to cover the on-board testing costs. Or is the way to read it is that if you have had a booster shot then they consider you up-to-date even if it has been more than six months? This really only about $42 which is a very small part of overall total cruise cost (and I assume I can use OBC to pay) however Celebrity should be more upfront about this possible additional cost. I also expect endless arguments onboard about who has to pay and who doesn't.
