On my Quest Lisbon to Copenhagen cruise last month (only 310 pax) also few people masked. Captain Tysse did not mention any COVID cases, but I saw a crew member in full haz mat gear on deck 7 on one occasion, so I wonder. The Patio was never open for dinner, sadly.

I did laundry twice on our cruise and did not notice any scent

Sounds like the best trip! We had a great trip too with mostly lovely weather. Didn’t hear about any COVID cases onboard, and with such a small (310) passenger count it was easy to socially distance!

And I am super happy paying something like $278 pp per day, balcony, with Azamara for our next cruise!

On Quest in December, she was wait staff in Windows and Discoveries. So charming, always remembers your name. We missed her this time, but loved Fanni

We had a lovely couple of days in Copenhagen, with excellent weather. The city was hopping, both with many cruise ships and with an abundance of other tourists because of the Tour de France. We left for home on 6/30, in advance of the start on 7/1. While there, we did a hop on/hop off bus circuit and a canal cruise and saw the changing of the guard at Amalienborg Palace, a MUCH less crowded affair than Buckingham palace! The food was good too, but such an expensive city!! And of course we had Smorrebrad!

I think that captains don’t always “love” having to have pilots along.

Beats me! Just repeating what seemed to be his frustration! I have never been through the canal, so have no basis for comparison.

Entered the Kiel Canal late, about 9:00 am?, and according to the Captain, it will be one of the slowest transits ever. He is not pleased with the local “jarheads”, as he is calling the authorities who are calling the shots. Says he will have to put the “pedal to the metal” to get to Copenhagen on time .

Haven’t heard that on Quest, but we upgraded to Ultimate. Certainly hope that’s not true!

What ship are you on? We had Kymberly on our last Quest cruise and miss her!!

We managed to hop off the ship this morning and take the shuttle to near Central Station, where we grabbed some breakfast and had our canal cruise after all! Back on the ship in plenty of time for our 1:00pm sail away.

The shuttle is right at the ship and took us into the center of Blankenberg. Very near the train station. There was a promotional special of 2 RT tickets to Brugge for 6.5 euros. Less than a half hour trip, if that. We did not really spend any time in Blankenberge
