  1. That would be BOATLOAD of OBC for essentially a repositioning cruise. And if I can get it refunded, why not just refund it now
  2. Yes, well this was why I repeated the quoted price when I accepted it. To give him a chance to back out in case it was a mistake. But he took my money and booked the cruise at what turned out to be the Azamara published rates. So I will be very disappointed if they don’t honor it
  3. I will preface this by saying that I have been very happy with my TA, a fairly small US company and have been working with the same person for a couple of years. I recently asked him for a quote on a cruise that Azamara currently has a good price on the website. Often he can shave a little off the price. The price he quoted me was hundreds of dollars below the mock booking I did, so I jumped on it and confirmed the price in my email back to him. He responded that he had booked it, charged the deposit, and I should see the confirmation within 48 hours. This morning , via the TA, I got confirmation from Azamara, but with the Azamara published rates, not the rates I was quoted. I emailed the TA that the invoice was not what I had been quoted and to please make the adjustment. I haven’t heard back and not sure what my recourse might be. Azamara had a fair price, but still….
  4. I am in the US, but I have never had my TA’s OBC show up until onboard.
  5. I think we are all accustomed to the free tapas in the Living Room, so why pay extra for appetizers in the Atlas Bar?
  6. I’m pretty sure this has been asked and answered, but I can’t recall it, so please indulge me! I know that if you receive the premium beverage upgrade as part of a booking promotion, once onboard you can upgrade to Ultimate for $7 per day (I have done this). But suppose one purchases the premium upgrade as part of an Experience More package. Can one do the same $7 per day upgrade once on board?
  7. Thanks so much for your report and the beautiful pictures, Anne! Can’t wait to hear about your upcoming Greek adventure. ❤️
  8. That waffle cone dessert looks so yummy!! And I can see that the Whispering Angel is still flowing! ❤️
  9. Can someone point me to a working copy of the cabin spreadsheet? I can’t seem to make the link on page 35 work. Thanks!!
  10. Interesting. It is my understanding that it is the person referred that gets the OBC. Agree that my FCC will not appear until after they complete their cruise.
  11. On our Quest cruise this summer, a member of our party wearing shorts was asked to change before being admitted to Discoveries for dinner.
  12. Vermouth is complementary. As Grandma Cruising said, just ask for a martini (or Manhattan, or mojito, or many other drinks) to be made with in included spirits
  13. I just completed a refer and receive form for referring my sister and her partner to Azamara. As I understand it, upon completion of their cruise, I will receive a $300 FCC. They are to receive $150 OBC. I have two questions. 1. It is not clear to me in the T&C when they will receive their OBC. Will it be for their currently booked cruise? 2. Will I likely have to chase down this FCC? I would like to use it for a cruise that is booked 7 months after their cruise.
  14. I’m not a Fever Tree fan either. Schweppes is fine with me!
  15. That sounds like a much better itinerary than the Canary Islands intensive that my sister and her partner booked as first time Azamarians. Wouldn’t have been my choice, but I might join them as a solo. Haven’t made up my mind.
  16. @Riocca, when are you going to Gran Canaria? I’m considering joining my sister on a Canary Island Intensive next March.
  17. I have definitely bought the Experience More packages ahead of time using a cc. The difference between TA obc and Azamara obc is TA obc is refundable and Azamara obc is not (use it or lose it)
  18. There was no assistant stateroom attendant on our June Quest cruise either, and as far as we know, there were no COVID cases.
  19. It’s hot here in New England too, but nothing like what you’re experiencing over there. Sending wishes that you will get some relief soon. Betsey
