  1. I don't even call them tentative because I've never seen them be even remotely accurate this far out. They seemed to be based on something entirely different than the cruise I eventually take. That is why I laugh when I see just desserts in my app for my cruise. Where are you hearing that Celebrity has changed MDR menus or that new ones are in the works? Of course, they can change menus at any point between now and September but I'm not sure why you are looking for feedback in the next few months unless you seem to think some change is coming or has already come. Royal is the one that did the entire revamp of their menus. And I personally really liked the ones we got to try in January. But I have not heard anything about Celebrity doing the same. FYI - the current Equinox sailing has Lobster on the menu on Day 9.
  2. Any menus in the app for September (or really any cruise not sailing in the next few days) are placeholders and unlikely to be accurate. If you want to see what current menus are, switch to the current sailing for the Equinox (there is a way to switch sailings in the app and browse by ship and sail date). As a point of reference, my May cruise shows we only get dessert for dinner (no entrees or appetizers).
  3. Unfortunately, this is the new policy this year, both have to have the same alcohol package.
  4. Wouldn't hurt to try! That would add one more restaurant choice though to your lunch options.....
  5. The last person you spoke to gave you incorrect information. If you purchased a 4 device plan, you can have 4 devices connected at the same time. And you can log in and log out if you have more than 4 devices you want to use over the course of the cruise as long as you never exceed 4 devices. I had a 4 device plan on my November cruise. I had my iPhone, iPad, and laptop all logged in the whole cruise and at times used them simultaneously.
  6. I agree with you. My point is that most are not like you describe. I can guess who you are talking about and they are not representative of all of them. So unless you happen to end up on one of their sailings, you probably won't run into any issues.
  7. Are there people on YouTube, TikTok, etc. recording on cruises? Absolutely. One I actually follow happened to be on a cruise I was on in November of 2021. But you probably won't notice most of them unless you end up on a vloggers cruise or press trip. Most are not obnoxious and try to blend in. Online content creators have really grown over the last few years. You likely find them just about anywhere you go even if you don't notice them.
  8. I am not aware of any major changes to Celebrity's MDR menus recently. They did not completely revamp them like Royal did earlier this year.
  9. There is no way for them to bend on wifi packages. They activate your account for the number of devices you purchase but you can log out and log in as often as you want and switch between devices. You just can't have more connected at the same time than the package you purchase.
  10. Just an observation-Gambling just for the free drinks seems to go against OP’s goal. To add to others’ suggestions, purchasing wine by the bottle (after exhausting the ones you bring on) is more cost efficient than buying by the glass. Wine tastings, martini flights, etc. are more cost effective than purchasing individual drinks and some of these can be purchased pre-cruise at a discount. Drinking on shore on port days is a lot less expensive, just get yourself back before the ship leaves…it seems pier runners are often stumbling a bit from too much to drink.
  11. My. understanding is that the required B2B test is BEFORE the transatlantic/transpacific. So those doing a Caribbean cruise first and then a transatlantic would have to take a test between. Or those starting in Sydney going to Honolulu and then continuing on to Vancouver would need a B2B test in Honolulu. This part of the language matches my understanding.
  12. On any tablet? Or yours is just too old to support the current version of the app? I just opened the Celebrity app on my iPad without any issues.
  13. Thanks for sharing all your comments! If you were on the Infinity sailing that left about November 5, I was on the Constellation sailing at that same time. If so, we docked with you in both Cozumel and Costa Maya. Costa Maya was a replacement for Belize for us also. I got some great time lapses of the Infinity docking and leaving Cozumel plus videos and photos of the sisters together. We ourselves had a great trip on the Constellation.
  14. In my experience, this is one of those things where your mileage may vary. The last two butlers I had did not do this for us
  15. That's completely normal. Celebrity's IT hasn't seemed to figure out what you already have when they are selling you add-ons. You might see the two packages listed (or a least a photo that represents each) in your order history in the cruise planner. There also should be codes on your invoice that will confirm the packages. And once you get your set sail pass after checking in, it should say PALL for the premium alcohol package.
  16. In the past, we have often done cruise ship excursions because of the convenience and the guarantee to get you back to the ship but we are starting to do more private tours (and this really started when we found cruise line excursions lacking in their offerings in some ports post-pandemic). We will still book shore excursions for things that require the full day to get there, visit, and get back (like Tulum or Chichen Itza). We will strongly consider them in tender ports (shore excursions get priority for the tenders which can extend the amount of day you can spend in port) and ports where I don't feel quite as safe going on my own (like Belize). And for all other ports, I'll compare the cruise line ones along side the private ones I find. Sometimes the convenience of going through the cruise line will still win for me.
  17. The page it is on claims to have been updated March 8 but when you scroll down, you find the screenshot I posted. https://www.celebritycruises.com/healthy-at-sea/transatlantic-travel-requirements
  18. Testing protocols were updated this week for these cruises. I think this means a negative test is no longer required except in a few circumstances. It appears vaccines are still required. We are on the May 9 Honolulu to Vancouver cruise.
  19. You shouldn't be charged any gratuities for drinks or your package. The 20% would have been paid when the package was purchased by your TA. The one exception is that if you decide to order a drink that is over the classic package drink limit, you pay the difference plus gratuity on that difference. You can always choose to give bartenders additional tips.
  20. Yes, the other AI perks aren't listed on your Xpress pass.
  21. I got the e-mail about Move-Up for our upcoming sailing not too long after final payment date (more than 60 days out).
  22. There would need to be a buyer for those older ships. Other cruise lines aren't in any better shape. And I'm not sure how much they really get from scraping a ship.
  23. You can find or twist a statistic to support just about any claim you want to make.
  24. The app isn't accurate until about the week before sailing (and even then changes can happen). We also only see deserts for our Eclipse sailing. If you want to see an example of menus, switch to the current or March 10 sailing of the Eclipse in the app. Go to Change Ship/Dates or Select a Different Cruise depending on what screen you are on and then scroll to the bottom to Browse ships.
