Jim_Iain - B2B Sydney - Honolulu - Vancouver

I highly recommend Orchids at the Halekalani for lunch. If you're there for the evening see the show at the "House Without a Key". Their Haupia Cake is to die for. -

Beyond- still beyond creaking and clicking

Definitely go to the hotel manager. You paid too much to put up with these intolerable conditions. We went to the Retreat Manager and glad we did. -

BTW Viking Ocean is an adult only, (ages 18 and over) cruise line. -
The single supplement sounds standard however if she didn't book on board the 15 months is unfortunately Viking's policy. The alternative would have been for you to book her cruise also to get the 6 month balance due benefit.

Left for Viking Ocean after 25+ Celebrity cruises.

We're in the same category as Mr T with 25+ Celebrity cruises and for same reasons defined above plus dishonest pricing practices, (IMHO) have 4 future cruises booked with Viking.

Unfortunately we had both of these issues on Beyond's most recent TA. Our cabin was a SS adjacent to the forward elevators and my DW commented on the musty smell upon our initial entry. The real problem started that night however with creaking emanating from all four walls keeping us awake for the 14 night cruise. How Celebrity accepted this ship after sea trials is "Beyond" me. What a shame as it's a beautiful ship.

You just described Viking. We tried Viking Ocean recently and loved it and will have our 4th over Christmas and New Year. -
Not on the Eclipse in May 2023

Celebrity suites particularly on Edge class is not mid range in price or quality! Luminae and the retreat are luxury level experiences.

Meh. Canceled our 2nd reservation. We were very disappointed as it would have been a great view leaving Sidney Harbor.

We just got off 31 days on Eclipse specifically South Pacific and Sydney to Honolulu. We ate in Luminea, Murano and Tuscan Grill. Murano as always was outstanding and Luminea was the best experience we've had aboard a ship after 25 cruises all but 3 being on Celebrity. In fact the filet mignon in Luminea was the best we've had at sea.

Got it. Made some good points

Thank you for your detailed review. We've done 20+ cruises on Celebrity with the last dozen in suites. Our last 2 were on Viking Ocean and I was wondering what specifically you would want Viking to add to their WC breakfast menu? Did you try Mamsens? We loved their waffle. I guess what I'm saying there are only so many choices for breakfast and I thought Viking had it covered with 2 long buffet lines.
