  1. No delays/problems getting home and then a great Thanksgiving celebration. We were 24 for dinner but with 5 under 7 yr olds it felt like 55! We must wait for our Spring sailings to reach Zenith. Can’t wait to hear if you pick up any secret tips and tricks! Have a blast and congratulations. We head to South America Feb.4 for Solstice Antarctic cruise. We enjoyed meeting you both too🤗

  4. Just off Constellation 2 days ago. This is not possible on the ancient TV but we did have a Premium WiFi package and were able to stream to a laptop. sheila.
  5. We were given the usual chocolate cake in Tuscan where we celebrated Jim’s birthday. We asked for it to be delivered to our cabin but we never did get it😢😏
  6. I received the exact same message! I had plenty of OBC remaining. The purchase was right there in my account under ‘Orders’. Turns out I had neglected to press the Purchase Now button when making my reservation 😜. After I completed my purchase all was well🤗
  7. Last time for us, TA Fall ‘22, was through the VIP lounge. I wonder why some people assume it will be the old “carnival tent” this Nov.when we are the only Celebrity ship in port.
  8. Consternation is the only Celebrity ship in Civitavecchia Port on Nov. 6th 2023. Why do you think the ship would depart from the “carnival tent” and not the nicer, newer terminal with VIP Lounge?
  9. That’s how I read it too🤨Grandgeezer. My TA says don’t worry as did Celebrity when she talked to them and fellow cruisers say the same. I can’t amend my bid as it is locked and pending - also confirmed by Celebrity and my TA. I have screen shots of all communications. We’ll have to see what happens IF I score the upgrade and my previously included gratuity is dropped and I have a large $$$ charge in addition to my bid amount. I can’t help not trusting Celebrity these days😪 Just to remind anyone who is interested - We are currently in a SS and this is a bid on a higher category suite.
  10. Ok, I feel better now so many thanks for weighing in! I do think that the Celebrity announcement is very poorly worded and easily misinterpreted!
  11. You have given the old Celebrity answer to an old question! This is a new announcement today. Any change in your reservation after Oct.4 including ….. upgrades ….will result in adjustments and loss of pre-paid gratuities. yes, I’m currently grandfathered in but if I win an upgrade bid, and it will occur after Oct. 4, then I will lose my pre-paid gratuities and have to pay $700 + plus the upgrade bid. This is what the announcement clearly states. Could it be poorly worded and in error?
  12. Exactly my question! I have an upgrade “Pending”. I can’t amend it but do NOT want it if I now have to pay gratuity on 16 nights in an upper suite!!! We are currently in a SS with premium everything.

  14. We were a family group of 9 on Silhouette a few months ago. I pre-booked EVERY specialty restaurant on board plus all our select dining reservations on non- specialty nights. We were all in regular balcony cabins and I made the reservations for 8. Once onboard I spoke to one of the Specialty Maitre ‘d and had him add one additional to each of the reservations. There were 3 young children in our party so easy to squeeze in another chair without crowding. It worked beautifully for us🤗 Sheila.
  15. Same here! We began cruising with our elementary school aged kids on Celebrity in the 90s. We paid for their college degrees plus enough cruises to give then Elite status. 🤗 Sheila.

  18. Have the cabin soft furnishings and linens been refreshed or is it the same old, dated burgundy and gold? I understand Soltice has not been refurbished. For Fishmonger who asked about dinner selections in Ocean View. We are just off a 10 night Silhouette and though quite reduced there was plenty and it was good. We were a family group of 9 and ate dinner there on two nights and everyone was happy. Sheila.
  19. Not available on Silhouette last week. However, our 3 grandchildren were very happy with menu selections and our wait staff were excellent🤗
  20. We boarded Silhouette March 13 with an 11:00 am time slot and we dropped off our carry ons in the cabin 15 minutes later 🤗 We were not in a suite! looking forward to following you again. You will be enjoying a wonderful cruise😄 Sheila.
