My favorite is captain Tasos. We never missed his morning report. He is hilarious. We were on board with captain Nigel last week too. I saw him around the ship a lot. I enjoyed his presentation.

Summit is similar to the smaller Royal ships, but I think it’s nicer. No smoking in the casino. -

I’ve been there when the big ships were in port, and there were a lot of people, but it wasn’t that bad. There are different areas on CC and people tend to spread out. We didn’t have any problems getting chairs in the shade. I like it 100 times more than Nassau where I no longer get off the ship. I don’t mind sharing the beach 😊

For beach lovers, it’s nice to walk off the ship and be at a beautiful beach with the cruise line’s amenities available on shore.

Infinity went there last year from Ft. Lauderdale. But not sure if it’s currently on celebrity itineraries

Equinox Menu - Main Dining Upcharges Showing on App

Last month on Royal, there was no upcharge for 1 lobster, but a charge if you wanted more than 1. My celebrity menu for the summit next month is showing a charge for lobster. -
Sometimes Royal has reasonable pricing for single cabins in the off season.

Celebrity will notice if passengers stop booking. The ships I’ve been on lately have been full, so most passengers have accepted the way things are on board. This is a good opportunity to try something different. -
We sailed a lot on celebrity when my son was at those ages. He really enjoyed it. The kids would probably like Royal better when they are old enough to participate in activities by themselves.

When you exit the dock, head to the taxi stand. I think the vans were $5 per person and it’s free to come back to the ship. The entry fee was $35 per person and covered a chair, umbrella, and a drink. They have a website with more info.

You might try the Riverside. Lots of restaurants in the area and the water taxi stop is right there.
