There's supposed to be bad weather today in south Texas hope ya'll can bypass that! But it looks like boarding day will be perfection! We migrated to Arkansa 4 yrs ago, but the rest of my family stayed in San Antonio/Austin area.

This was a hotly contested problem on our Dec. Odyssey trip....always broken and so was the suite machine according to our conc. We have broken down and agreed we'll be doing a once per morning trip to Starbucks for our next trip.....😡

2004 for us, but the website information on that discount/rate or whatever you want to call it said I would need to provide it so I complied, That was our experience. Took it to check in, The lady at the counter looked at it, took it over to her computer, came back and handed it back to me and said thank you. I have never been asked for it again and still get the Military discount/rate. That's all I know.

They did back in the day, we had to show the DD214. It was annotated. I assume the computer sees it upon booking.

I have had it adjusted a couple times closer to cruise and before final payment. Hoping it can be offered on our Icon, boy would that help.

They only require your DD214 (hubs is a Vet), it is added to your account info and you never need it at check in again. It pops up if offered when you book. If it doesn't show, that cruise doesn't have it available. We've gotten that rate many times. Never had to show the form again after the first time years ago. Same goes for Disability. Submitted a form years ago. It is noted on my account.

Sorta like not getting tired of the pool in your back yard, right? Same thing only at the private island somebody comes and brings you a drink. To each their own, but I'm perfectly happy there. I was there when there was nothing and again when it changed...love it.

Same thing here, tried yesterday to cancel/rebook 3 nte pkg at $94.99 pp. Got the same message, sold out, how do you sell out of a 3 nte dining pkg? Called RCCL, agent couldn't help me, she saw $116.99 on her screen...so we both thought it was a glitch in the web. Anyway, wound up keeping it at the original cost of $116.99 pp.

Personally, never, I'm always happy there. Does one get tired of their own home?....kinda like that I suppose. I'm pretty easy though, perfectly happy staying in the Caribbean too.

Yes, things have changed. Guess my apps have quit reporting much. There are still a couple but they haven't responded to any of our cruises lately. But as an example, when we booked ICON back in October $1197 pp...today, $1962 pp and I can't even book an inside accessible which we have. Sold out for our date Sept. 14th 24. I don't expect that pricing to go back to what we booked, at all, if any. As the hype plays out, I'm sure it will go up. We'll see. I am my own best barometer, I check all the time and for good deals out there. I stumble across some neat stuff sometimes, we did Legend to Hawaii from Ensenada for interior $629 for two people a few years ago. Ya just gotta be online a lot to see them. In that case, about 1 month before cruise, nobody probably wanted to be bussed from San Diego to Ensenada so they had to lower the price. My good! What an adventure, the Mexican bus leaked into my lap as it rained..too funny. But that was a great cruise. They loaded our luggage in SD and we got on the busses and met Legend in Mexico.

Yes, I have had them make adjustments several times and saved $$. I'm talking about the initial booking. Generally, the earlier the better. And I have apps that check for me as well. Maybe never was the wrong word. And that IS relative to cabin type and location too.

I have never found any lower than when I book early and I assure you I check it out often. Still do. We have taken 2 last minute cruises that were great deals, no more out of 30. John, I believe I said "Rules are rules". But I'd a whole lot rather them keep 500 than let them keep the whole thing. So we pay on final day.

We never pay until final payment day. Once they have your money.....you have no recourse. Rules are rules. BTW, we book way in advance, we've never lost any money doing it that way. I've checked all our cruises on final payment day and there haven't been any that were cheaper than what we booked 1 to 2 yrs out. All our reductions and there have been many were done before that date. That's my method and I won't be changing it. Have found some real steals last minute but that's the exception.

I was talking about the automatic tips, we always slip the staff $. Plus, didn't any of you get the pirate talk....nobody knows a joke when they see it nowadays.

It may be time for a mutiny! Me Hearties! Tips will be removed and nobody will get a 10 until this stops. Maybe the only answer. Although it really doesn't bother me, I never eat 2 of anything. But I'll participate if it'll help others.
