The giftee should read up on these though. I got a certificate once and took it to the ship but they would not honor it! They said you have to call in advance at least 2 weeks prior to cruise to activate it and they then credit your account with OBC. Caused a lot of trouble for us, this was quite a while ago, but required all sorts of follow up by the Loyalty Ambassador on board between Corporate and him. So advise you tell them about this in advance!

I just read about what I posted recently on the Celebrity board, but yes, I know they leave them on the loungers, but the person who posted said this was a new policy. We've been on several Celebrity cruises and have one on Asent coming up and was excited about this report. Wouldn't want to have to run up to a lounger either before going ashore.

I prefer Celebrity's way.....you get two beach towels in your room and if they are still in your room at cruise end, no problem. You ask your steward if you require more. No having to waste time and energy running up to the pool deck! They occasionally have a bin full of towels at a station on deck 2. Some RCCL ships I've sailed have had them.

What a swell place to wait for the cabins opening on boarding day! Gotta love it!

Thanks for the advice, but I am my TA and I do a damn good job of it. I like to be in control, don't mind it at all. As for land trips, we camp a lot. Not afraid of no flu either, that wasn't me. Not sick ever, just have system issues like T2D, but under control...yeah control freak.

Ditto here for our Odyssey in Ft. Lauderdale. About the same amount of time and we booked Holiday Inn Express right near the Port, because they also provided shuttle from Airport. Such a mixup because most hotels use shuttle venders and nothing gets done efficiently...ended up in a taxi cuz the hotel just couldn't get it to work after multiple phone calls. Nightmare...never again...next time just a taxi. Our other go to in FtL is Renaissance with a taxi to port.

The perp shoulda been thrown off the ship at the earliest opportunity and made to find his/and her own way home. Period. Intolerable behavior.

We never could afford them, now that we can, I don't even like them....too hard to get in & out of, and way too hot! I was all about getting the beds near the bar at the Beach Club and then we hardly ever lay in them. One of the reasons, along with the price hikes, that we won't be booking that again. Don't think I'll ever see $58.99 PP for the Club day pass again ever! Oasis pool and a lounger with umbrella is just fine with me.🏖️

Once several cruises ago I tried to make a partial payment online and they charged my CC the entire fare!😲 which I was totally unprepared for so that's the last time, I always call now if I want to make a payment and tell them exactly what amount. Otherwise, I never make payments any more nor pay it off early, you have more leverage if you owe the whole thing at final payment if something like this goes wrong.

Just curious, but if that is true why are you posting here? And...why didn't you just request your steward come in and clean again whilst you were there? That's what I would've done. I'm pretty unflappable...mostly. It's rudeness I find most intolerable.

Honestly, we are usually in our own little world having fun on a cruise, I hardly notice kids...unless they purposely try me 😠 And that's really never happened. Adults...another thing. Just the run in at the pool with the table and chair hogs and once on an elevator I just had to point out the limits on the sign because a lady insisted on squeezing in her whole family...I pointed to the sign and said..."Sorry full" and she got on without the others, she was ticked until she got off but everyone else was smiling!
