  1. Thanks @DCThunder I remember picking brackets for March Madness on a Panama Cruise (lost) but couldn't remember if I saw NCAA in Europe. I did see NFL on the 2nd sports channel late at night last TA but that was from Southampton -> Florida. 2 games being played in Frankfurt in November (total of 5 games across the pond).
  2. I'll watch SNF, MNF, TNF in my room but I'll watch the evening ones in the bar. Unless there's a good performance going on. They're up. Also posting on roll call Rock Opera Nov 24 5 Skies Nov 29 Spotlight Bar Dec 5 ☆ the INCREDIBLE MIGHTY QUIN☆☆ (he's fantastic!) Enrichment Lectures: Europe & Spice Trade Voyages of Captain James Cook England's Infamous Captain Bligh What Lies Beneath (the ocean floor) Lecture on Paul Gaughan (historical & not by art staff) Sir Francis Drake Pirates of the Caribbean
  3. Monday Night Football should be on all the big screens in Take 5, MUTS, and stateroom TV. There will actually be 2 TV sports channels, 1 for USA games & 1 primarily for European. Like Abu Dhabi Formula 1 Nov 24-26 on 1 channel with NFL & NBA on the other. Wonder which ncaa games they'll show. CORRECTION: JAZZ MOVED TO CROWN GRILL BAR. Sorry ...
  4. Hi @Kmkub. It's me wandering over from our roll call. Did my 1st TA on Enchanted Princess last September and a few differences that I noticed: 1. Language lessons at 10 am daily in Take 5, well except when we've been assigned it for the M&G. Last year it was Portuguese as we were going to Azores. Think it'll be Spanish this time as we are going to Canaries 2. Take 5 became a Sports Bar instead of a jazz bar each night. Jazz moved to Wheelhouse. Anticipate the same. Focus in this order: football, basketball, then futbol (fifa) 3. Ship ran a slot pull, buy in $25 + points. Forgot how many. I did the roll call slot pull 4. 18 night rotating menu (at least the vegan one had 18 different menus .... no idea about other one). Other cruises repeated every 7 nights 5. Two $10 wine tasting events, only 1 as an elite perk 6. Just 1 wine tasters lunch at Sabatinis 7. Complimentary hard ice cream & multiple toppings in Marketplace Pastry Shoppe. Still has soft serve but I prefer hard ice cream. 8. My last longer cruise (16 nights) had a lecturer who was a roadie during 1970s-2000s. Found his talks about working with iconic bands fascinating Those are the ones that stand out See you in a little over a month!!
  5. No price reduction on my 11/24 or 10/25 cruise. 11/24 is appropriately priced IMHO 10/25 cruise is almost 2× what I paid for it 7/19. Oh well .... predicting a future price drop no matter what Jan says
  6. Yeah, Canadian and Californian policies are quite different. Wishing you luck on both timeliness & costs
  7. California Small Claims Court limit is 10k. But I wonder if you have to file for reimbursement with your dental insurance first and only file in court for your deductible? So you'd have to fly here 2× (once to file & once to appear) and then only get your dental insurance deductible. (Mine's $1000 annual max out of pocket, not sure about yours in Canada). So 2 RT flights for deductible .... is it worth it? No guarantee you will win
  8. I broke a tooth 1/2 way through my last cruise and am possibly looking at an implant. My fault not Princess'. Also only takes 6 months total after extraction and this involves time for bone to regrow, implant screw 4 months, make tooth 1-2 hrs. If you only broke the implant, why does it take a year?? Is there any bone loss? In my case I broke it on a piece of shell .... shell reasonably expected in that combo.
  9. I just request to have the tray picked up under OCEAN NOW -> AMENITIES -> RETRIEVE TRAY. Gone in a matter of minutes. Doesn't really matter if its mine or my neighbors. I don't want it by / across from my door
  10. Check out a great deal on water. 12 bottles for $7 pre-cruise only. I drink tap onboard but like a bottle off the ship. Available for all itineraries except Australia (& maybe NZ? Not sure about that as my NZ cruises started in Australia)
  11. But you CAN dine with them!!!! Just tell the waiter that you are paying and they have a package. Waiters are used to separate bills just in case you don't want a night off. Your friends are confusing Premier pkg with Reserve seating.
  12. WiFi? I do NOT need wifi every day as I can connect via app to those onboard and download/reply emails takes less than 5 minutes walking around in port terminal. Download -> head off to explore -> respond to urgent only ones while getting back on. I LOVE being unplugged! This is my list -- yours may vary
  13. Yeah @teddie2 just do the math. Here's mine per day: 80 Premier pkg + 9% ins -16 gratuities - 3 tea at International Cafe (free elsewhere) - 15 +18% lunch at Alfredos (not doing it every day) - 3 bottled water if I forgot to buy weeks worth for $7 pre-cruise 0 wine as I can carry on 2 bottles So where am I getting another $37 × # cruise days value?? Added: I unplug ex connect with others onboard via the app / download urgent emails as walking through various terminals / respond to only urgent ones getting back on ship / then back to being unplugged 🙂
  14. Its $10 for non-elites. There's another one with better wines where everyone pays $25
  15. Last 3 cruises (April, May, June 2023) there were 6 wines. 1 sparkling, 2 white, 2 red, finished with a dessert wine. For reference these cruises were on Royal & Emerald Princesses. I think the earlier (2023) cruises had the same options. FWIW I hated the 2nd red but it was on both Royal & Emerald. There's also individual plates of cheese, dried fruit, very VERY few nuts, and a bottle of water (that I swished to dilute the red wine taste) @donswife yes it was on the 5 day & 2× on the 16 day (only 1× on the 16 day included as a perk)
  16. Hope I get my medallions. Next month & April are green with them ordered shipped to my home but I wasn't charged. I'm standard fare
  17. I want a frown or thumbs down emoji
  18. IC also has complimentary hot water ... I add my favorite tea bag from home (couldn't get vanilla tea onboard last 3 voyages)
  19. I was there Sunday and half the spaces were vacant. So sad. Even the food court was affected Just needed to get A17 dressy pants & button down shirt for homecoming, thankfully Urban Outfitters & Macy's is just up Powell St. But I suggest tourists skip Westfield
  20. Check out Japan Town & I personally recommend Hinodeya Japantown for creamy vegan ramen (S has it with added shrimp) or Cinderella Bakery & Cafe for typical Russian food. Better food than Fishermans Wharf
  21. @ldtr no reason, just crickets. Usually they respond. @Cruise Raider thanks. Will adjust reminder to go to Take 5 for a sign as it where it is @PacnGoNow yeah .... closing roll call spreadsheet tomorrow as i always close when it's within 30 days
  22. Looking for any suggestions to an issue I have. I am the organizer for a Meet & Greet that grouponboardservices@princesscruises.com set up in a room with a maximum capacity of 100. I notified them that we have 163 signed up a month ago, again last week, and I cannot get a new room. 1st leg starts in under 4 weeks, 2nd leg in under 6 weeks, but being a TA ppl have already started over to Europe. WWYD?
  23. JMHO if only crappy rooms are available and I really wanted the cruise I'd book a guaranteed room in a better category. That way I'd get at least that level but probably better (ie: midship mid level). And be prepared to up bid Ok. Really REALLY disagree. Room changes happen all the time unless you mark it NO UPGRADE and even then they happen. Always to what Princess deems more desirable (I book what I want & mark NO UPGRADE still have to make sure I'm not shifted). And with the ability to bid up for a more desirable category there are more not less shifts
  24. I am boarding 11/23/23 but my last trip was a b2b (here's why that's relevant). For the 1st time ever I was pulled out of boarding for the wine table as I was boarding with 3 bottles of wine. From now on my mantra is "I'm on a b2b." No corkage Also no one was interested in my single bottle of wine coming back from interim ports in Europe last year. Just starting with 2 bottles this time but, hey, there's always Livorno 🍾
  25. It was a sports bar during March Madness and very well attended. Had beer, bar snacks .... remember popcorn. Yknow. Stuff to eat watching bb. Hope it's the same in Nov / Dec. Would be a good place to see the football games. (USA style / not FIFA)
